"The Orbital Elevator, also called a space elevator or the tether, is a colossal structure utilized on all major human colonies prior to the Human-Covenant war. It can transport people and goods from planet-side to high orbit (and vice versa).
Once a human colony has become productive and begins to export massive amounts of goods off-world, Orbital Elevators are installed. With tendril rails reaching beyond the major gravitational pull of the planet, the sheer scale of the elevator is an impressive feat of engineering. Harvest had seven such elevators to export food, which also served as vital means for evacuating the planet when the Covenant attacked. However, the elevators are highly vulnerable to attack and, if sufficiently damaged, the tendrils can crash down and cause wide-scale damage.
Earth side Terminal: Roomy center of ground-side operations.
- Lots of space to move and store vehicles, cargo, and people.
- Heavy security measures like armored shutters and blast doors.
Elevator car: Tether-bound moving vehicle to move items to and from orbit.
- 2x large containers, 14x seats, 2x vehicle platforms capable of holding either a tank each.
- (Currently) Requires a pilot to manually move and dock, has two cameras to help this.
- Can lock directly to terminals with merge blocks.
Orbital station: A civilian space station allowing for ships to dock with..
- 2x cruiser berths, 2x small cargo ship docks, and a strike fighter hangar.
- 4x Point Defense turrets
- Large internal vehicle garage, multiple rooms, and observation towers, all with artificial gravity.

#SpaceEngineers is a sandbox game about engineering, constructing, and maintaining creations in space. Players can build and pilot space ships, construct massive space stations, and mine asteroids for raw materials utilizing a realistic volumetric-based physics engine. All objects can be assembled, disassembled, repaired, damaged, and destroyed in this space-based freeroam RPG #videogame
Arrives at the space station without issue. Smooth as butter. Love it.
*knife into hot butter
i believe that is the expression.
@@feelinghealing3890 do hot knives explode violenty on contact with butter?
@@adammisiable Depends on how hot the knife is.
@@adammisiable he doesnt say hot knife so
5:25 "I have no idea what world this is..." > looks at Africa and Arabian Peninsula >> Earthling doesn't recognize planet Earth.
And then he stares down at Africa and Madagascar for the rest of the video
guy literally says that he thinks its the earth world, "the proper earth world" right after, prooobably should listen to what he fully says lol.
EDIT: well, the FIRST time he says it he said it looked like the proper earth world.
He's comparing it to the earth-like world in space engineers. Probably doesn't realise that there is an earth planet on the workshop. Which you can then spawn in. At any size (10km to space instead of ~40Km)
What can you expect from some who say "H" as "heytch".

Finally, someone using my elevator as it was intended to be used. I applaud you, sir :D
For those who don't know, this world file used the Terra modded planet so I could place the elevator in its approximate in-universe location where New Mombasa would be, which is on the coast of Kenya in Africa. It is modeled after the UNSC's orbital elevator seen in Halo 2, 3 and ODST.
It is unbelievable that you can do so much in Space Engineers, when he started to go to the elevator I first thought that it was from the Mobile Suit Gundam 00 series because it is very similar to it until he sits in the actual lift and the difference is that in the series they have a rail that can have four trains that go up and down to the stations.
But I can understand that Space Engineers is limited to a certain point and it doesn't bother me, but it would have been cooler to do so.
Then when he is space I get an idea that you could build more so that it is either a base or a ship station for your spaceship or all players on that server. (Assume it's servers, I don't have the game myself.)
@@miniblasan5717 I could honestly probably pull off such a system if my subgrid tether design still works, although it'd be one big construct overall.
It's a very nice space elevator, but unlike real elevators it's not idiot proof.
@@MrEvan312 this creation is wonderful
Apart from the world is it all vanilla ?
I'm on the Xbox and sadly we don't get all the mods from p.c so I've yet to actually give this ago :( which makes me sad because I've been failing to make one my self 😅
Is there any way/chance you would be interested in porting it over to the Xbox if it was possible ?? 😁
Well there is only one thing you forgot to add to this… anti-Jack RPG life insurance or a waver for whenever Jack take the control seat ;p
Imagine you´ve built something like this in survival and some moron saws through the rail ...
MSSR still the whole grid would be able to drift off into space
That was, by far, the best entrance I've seen anyone make. I laughed till my face was red!
Pretty neat that this elevator is in New Mombasa
Challenge: Take a shot every time Jack says "Little" and try to stay conscious until the end of the video!
4:51 That was just brilliant, couldn't have timed it better if you tried.
"I like what they have done with the ice, it looks really nice" - this rhymes.
The covenant: " nice space elevator you have there, would be a shame if some one come along and glassed it "
omg the timing of his elevator crash into the station was spot on and hilarious
I wish I could play space engineers. But I think my laptop would blow up like this space lift
5:00 I can relate.... My bus trips are like that all the time xD
just comes with taking public transport.
anyhow, watched a few of your videos, and you've interested me with these spotlights, good to have another SE RUclipsr outside of the big dogs. Keep it up :)
The African space program has made great strides towards space exploration
Yep and gets blown up on first arrival!!
This would make a good drinking game.. every-time he says the word "here" you have to take a drink. =)
Just a heads up the idea of the gps is that you use the remote control
04:55 Dude I fucking died. Rewinded. Died again.
New drinking game. Take a shot every time he says the word here.
I just want to say something... Would it rlly take to much time to close the doors u open?
Was laughing...crash...you have arrived...welcome to space
It's been a few years since I've played the game, mostly because I kept failing at making ships with enough thrust and fuel to make it to and from space. I always wanted to build a space elevator to remove the need for a shuttle system, but never took the time to design one properly.
As soon as you mentioned queueing you had my full attention! Loving these showcase videos :)
What actually propels this? is it just using thrusters and the structure to keep itself in a straight line? I thought it would be pistons but I saw no pistons :(
this planet looks like it's 1km in diameter O_o
Oh what a nice space elevator I really hope that an alien spaceship does not appear near it
We need these things in real life.
Imagine this becomes a scenario in a sci-fi movie
How easy is it to build stuff like this in the game?
Like that, pretty easy. Time consuming to perfect like anything, but not difficult.
"Hold up on the mouse to make it go up" ... right. The mouse doesnt have an Up button, and i think you meant the Space Bar.
He means slowly move the mouse forwards. As in the same control you would use if you were to pitch the nose of your ship up. It makes sense if you use your head
@@Somniphobe77 Or dont hold it atall. The Mouse is afterall only used when you want 3 Dimensional Movement.

I do love myself a good space lift
hey jack please do another video with this a cut the thing so it falls all the way down
Queueing up is in _your_ nature?
As a German, I'm offended.
But you dont really queue up right? You make other people queue...
@@D3ADmanWA1KING187 I think it's both. We like it so much, we want other people to enjoy it too! ^^
Brits love a queue. We queued up behind Poland and France in WW2.
Why not make a voxel that fakes the effects of water. Like a transparent texture idk love you Keenhouse, where you at? love the vid btw jack
Mr Penguin There's now a working water mod for SE
you should have way more subs than you do, good vid i liked
holy shit your videos are better muted, you really don't need to emphasise the final of word of every sentence when you see something
Nice. Still remember the mk 1. looks like its more polished
"It's a real shame there is no water in space engineers"
Well that aged poorly
thats cute and adorable
Looks like elevator from Krogens planet from Mass effect
What game is this in the outro?
Are they ever gonna add *liquid water* ?
no because they say they can't due to the limitations of the engine...and if they wanted to do add water, it would PROBABLY require a fully recreated spce engineers and engine for it, which would mean no more updates for this one.
That's the solar system earth you looked at Africa
Or Where New Mombasa is?
"One way ticket please..."
Low subs? Let me help you! LOVE This content!
That looks like the area and elevator from halo live action movie
"little elevator"
Please form an orderly que? What?
It's missing all the rings
I invited my friend on, in 20 seconds, he destroyed ball four rails
I think it is the elevator from halo(i never played halo i only know it has a space elevator somewhere in africa)
No its definitely not from halo, as you can see from the title, it's the UNSC elevator. The UNSC were DEFINITELY not from halo.
@@ForwardBias www.halopedia.org/United_Nations_Space_Command
Blow it up
What is the rpg at the end?
On the end screen? Tera > Space Engineers > Kritika.
Thx you
You can’t put this on a normal planet because it is too short it will not reach space
I feel like this elevator is from Gundam.
Kinda figured you were british before you said it
I really wish someone would port this to mod.io
Cause the elevator to collapse
It’s reach it’s a modded planet for the space elevator
Earth. You can see Africa
2:40 suuuuuuure
Kinda sounded like a Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy reference to me lol
It will not go up
*lift
This world is halo
Elevator car crashing/breaking when you reached top perfect example of how screwed up the game really is -- anyone who is considering trying this game be prepared for that sort of thing happening CONSTANTLY...very poor coding in regards to structural integrity and physics in this game, and the problems have been ignored by the developers completely, and now they have 'released' the game as supposedly 'finished'...the developers have abandoned the game to its current state, and now just produce updates that add 'cosmetic-type' items but do nothing to fix the underlying issues/problems. Empyrion game is many times better and works, as compared to this 'wreck' of a game.
lmao he went into the top WAY too fast. of course its going to crash... im sure theres an optimal speed to go up there and he simply overshot.. its not some indicator of the quality of the game (which is great btw)
