Rev "kite and lines" setup- Basic launch and hover- Stop drill- Basic "reverse launch" technique - Wind lines and stow your Rev
I definitely hear "Limelight" by RUSH in the background here haha - good soundtrack for some kite flying!
Usually I fly large depower kites since I am a kite surfer, but these revs are fun to fly. I know them since the 90s.
I'm so Greatful that you took the time out of your busy day to inbox me today and talk with me. The video is so easy to understand. You answered questions right as I was thinking them. Thank You Good Sir!
Found an old revolution in my dad's garage! Going to try it out! Thanks for the very clear instructions
Awesome Liam! Come join us at Revolution Club 38! It's included with your dad's Revolution kite! ruclips.net/video/CnRDR0oBbdU/видео.html
Great video. It's really nice to see people are still interested in this sport. Coming from Washington state here, I rarely see pro kites anymore like I used to back in the early 2000s. I really missed those days when Revolution, Prism, and HQ kites were all up and down the beach. This sport is truly awesome and satisfying when you get it down. It is a real good/innocent way to have fun without affecting the environment. Quad line or dual line. Both are challenging yet worthwhile. It takes a little more patience with the setup on a quad line kite. The control of the kite makes it worth it. Dual line (delta style) kites are easier to set up, but harder to master. Hope everyone at the Revolution team is still doing good and business is well. Great job with the video!
My dad got one around ‘06 and my brother and I got our own soon after; I think they were Premier Addiction models. I remember watching tricks videos that were fairly new here on YT. I’m sure I recognized one of the videos and it’s 14yrs old now. A lot of stunt kite videos are over 10yrs old with few recent ones
I regret throwing mine out when I moved out of state (spine broke and could never find a way to repair it). Well, I’m going to buy a new one and get back into it. I really enjoyed flying mine way back then
I wish there were more recent videos
Great stuff Joe, thanx. I spotted a Rev 2 on Ebay and got it for £82. This'll be my starter Rev. But now I see the benefit of shorter lines! I have 80ft, so I'll check around for some shorties.
The Rev 2 is one of the most challenging Rev models due to it's small size. Focus on short 'hops' for your first flights. Just launch, then instantly stop in mid air, then reverse to land. The Rev 2 is very sensitive and very precise handle rotation is key! Here is a quick video to avoid new challenges: ruclips.net/video/uxfA7KHySSY/видео.html. Here is my suggestion for a 1st Rev: ruclips.net/video/MQd8J8SjIEc/видео.html. Good luck wordreet
@@jhadzicki Well I guess we all like a challenge at times. Thanx for the info Joe.
Looking at your video your caps stayed on the kite while my caps on now on my vertical struts.
Lots of nice Revs on the market these days but I wish I could get that lovely original one.
Yes gblan! Give Lolly a ring at the Rev Factory (1-858-679-5785). She can probably set you up! Here is a quick video with some rare Revolution kites we have at the shop. Also a quick tour around the production here at Revolution. ruclips.net/video/Qt4QRMyg_gw/видео.html
Good lesson.
Сэр, оставляю вам лайк с любовью. Спасибо.
Question, can you pair them? Train wise? A duo or triple ? I had one in the past. Loved it
Yes, you can stack Revolutions! Give us a call and we'd be glad to set you up! ruclips.net/video/TRGJH_o4Bgw/видео.html
I have an unflown Revolution kite I bought many years ago from an acquaintance. It's almost 9 feet wide, not sure of the model. It's got a 1988 copyright date on it and a Clairmont Dr. address. I fly 2-line stunt kites and not sure if this is a good Rev to learn on or not. I've only flown a Rev once at a kite festival in 2011.
Yes Nick Taylor, you have an original Rev 1. This is an excellent model to learn on. The larger size adds stability for easier learning. Join us Rev Club 38 on Facebook for lessons. ruclips.net/video/Jb-iLDR5-UU/видео.html
ask for the size tutorial
Can I fly it at the beach?
Had to watch twice because of Limelight in the background.
I've never flown a Revolution before. The only experience I have is with two line foil kites. Which Rev model would you recommend for me?
- edit: Just found the answer at your website, the Revolution EXP kite with Reflex. Already found a seller in my country!
Yes Robert, the EXP is excellent for your 1st Rev Experience: ruclips.net/video/MQd8J8SjIEc/видео.html If speed and power are important for you, the Revolution Blast is a speed/power enthusiast favorite: ruclips.net/video/ynkPsuyTDXk/видео.html If you have an interest in true power-kiting, my overall favorite Revolution is the Power Blast 2-4: ruclips.net/video/aWDumQa-7yI/видео.html
Weww saya harus membuat seperti ini
Didn't learn in a hour but had fun anyway. Cheers
We're glad you're having fun with your Rev, Robert! The learning curve is different for everyone! Wind conditions have a huge effect! Revolution Club 38 is the best way to learn! It's included free with your Rev purchase! Here is a quick video of what you will learn at Club 38! ruclips.net/video/CnRDR0oBbdU/видео.html Here is another video with the basics to get you started! ruclips.net/video/vpb-5xzuhq0/видео.html
👍🏼
I am about to purchase one of this from aliexpress is a very cheap one not sure of quality tho I hope it just works well..... But I haven't seen a lot of tutorials on it so am glad I found this
Could this be flown with no wind?
Its a kite, What do you think?
@@mark675 actually you can fly a Revolution indoors with the proper setup
I've had my for less then a year and only problem is finding a good place to fly with good wind
Cool Moiecol! Your Rev is made for challenging locations! Spend a few minutes with these tips for flying your Rev in poor conditions to quickly push your skills to the highest levels! ruclips.net/video/H47jaVB2o_8/видео.html
I live on the E coast of Florida across from the beach. Our wind conditions change constantly. Today the wind is 24 out of the N. Who knows what it will be next week. Do i need a Tarantula and is it best to learn in high or low winds. I have flown 2 line kites before now I want to step up and start flying again
Awesome Jim Jones! In winds over 15 mph I suggest either the 'Reflex XX Super Tarantula' Or the Revolution NYM (New York Minute) 2 or 3 vent model. The NYM is more durable, while the XX has a wider wind range and makes learning new and advanced skills easier. Flying one Rev model in all conditions is not practical.
Your second question is the right question. Moderate winds (6-10 mph) are the best to learn in. Once you have 'the basics', 'High-wind success' is much more likely. Your Rev can fly very fast and more importantly, respond very fast to your controls, so fast, correct control is very important! Join us at 'Rev Club 38' (Free with Your Rev purchase) to lock down those basic skills. Here is a 'high wind' video to give you a quick sense of what to expect:

@@jhadzicki thanks for the response. My money situation will only allow me to get one kite at this time. That is why i posed my question like i did.. Today the winds are sse @13 mph. My choices are a XX or a Tarantula. In my position which would you choose?
@@jimjones6657 XX Tarantula for sure!
I went to pull out my vertical strut poles and the cap stayed on the pole and similar to end end caps I just have a little part that goes into the vertical strut. Is that ok? I just got to be sure to take it off if I replace the vertical strut.
Yes phdyoutubedegree 1939. I'm not sure exactly what you are saying, but there is a 'dust cap' at the top cap that helps protect the leading edge material from sand damage. I prefer flying on grass when possible and avoid 'sliding' and crashing in the sand as much as possible. Your Rev will fly fine without the dust caps.
@@joehadzicki3847 yes, turns out it was the dust cap. Was told to put a little super glue to the dust cap and place it on the end cap. Just curious why not put dust caps on all the end caps?
Yes@@phdyoutubedegree1939, the dust caps add weight and complexity. As your skills improve, crashing and all-around 'wear and tear' are greatly improved. This allows you to fly in a wider range of conditions where weight becomes important. For example, light-wind conditions. Here is a short video on light-wind Rev flying: ruclips.net/video/o3seKPs6Wyc/видео.html&ab_channel=RevolutionKites-InventorJoeHadzicki
"put your stakes over the handles"
4:46 Did anyone else see him grab the cameraman I just like yank him back that was pretty funny
Also WTF is the cameraman just heavily breathing into the mic
😊
A donde la puedo adquirir

What 's the song at 4:07?
Sounds like maybe Don Henley's Dirty Laundry
I want to buy the kite. Where's the price?

Hoch much this kite plase
On their official site it’s $195 USD, I’m sure you can find a cheaper deal somewhere else on a different site though you just got a look
kann leiter kein englisch - ginge es auch auf deutsch irgentwie
I want to fly it high. It looks like you can't fly it high.
For video purposes, I fly on short lines. You can easily fly up to 200 feet, but the idea of the Revolution is precise control. You can even fly it off the back of a paraglider! ruclips.net/video/trk0KAe8y8Q/видео.html
@@jhadzicki Interesting.
Ist time I saw a tandem passenger piggy back on a paraglider. Weird
@@thewinnemuccaparaglider9556 I've been paragliding for 30 years! My buddies at the Gliderport thought this would be fun... It was! The instructor sitting up front and flying, said he could feel the Rev pulling the glider around!
Wish the audio was better.
Why is the camera person breathing so hard?
