This extremely soft and very precise style is exceptionally good. Maybe already lesson 39 for Joe...;-)

Good video. It is nice to see hands included in videos showing how you control the kite.
It's useful (especially for beginners) to see the variation in hand posture like you have in the video, in your case handles differently when facing different directions. Different people have different motions. It's clear both from the hands and the shadows that you have fully body differences on right and left directional flight. For example 0:27, 0:30, 0:34, 0:42, 0:47, they're not just pointed different angles right versus left but show you have full posture differences that likely play to the strength of your dominant arm and hand. And the strong downward drive at 6:07, 6:25, and 6:40 shows which of your hands is dominant with big differences between them. Pilots favor different styles, some people focus on handle orientation keeping them vertical, some focus more on a 'boxer position' and less on handle orientation, some people spend a lot of time on the 'body work' part of flying, and some don't care how the pilot looks as long as the kites get to the right position in the sky.
Lots of good ways to fly, thanks for sharing!

Thank you very much for your detailed analysis, @bryanskiteflying, it is most appreciated. I've amended the description per your feedback. Yes, it is my hope that these POV videos will help illustrate the variation in handle position to beginners, as it plays such a key role.
Ever since it was mentioned in this discussion I've been conscious of the differences between my right and left sides. I've got cubital tunnel syndrome which affects my left hand, and it seems like I'm subconsciously adapting my posture to compensate. It feels strange when I try to hold the handles symmetrically!
I reckon I hold the left handle lower because my fourth and fifth digits are weak. I'm using my wrist and thumb for fine control of the left brake line, but on the right, I use my fourth and fifth digits.

I've removed the sentence about the description text as it no longer applies with the edit. Good video, even so. How do you get the camera at chest height to stay that steady? I've tried a few ways to hold a gopro near there and it never turns out that well.

Cheers @@bryanskiteflying! I'm using a "PGYTECH CapLock Action Camera Neck Mount". I find that it provides a better view of the handles than the chest mount, but you need to be conscious that you can't turn your body much without changing where the camera is pointing.

Camber I presume. Did you get to move nearer after all?

Much appreciated! Yes, I moved just down the road from Camber. It's an amazing place, and I'm not missing London at all.

It's interesting to me that you hold your handles differently from right to left! Obviously it is what's comfortable for you and does not affect your performance at all. Just not sure I ever really saw that before. Although not many have this good of a view of hands and kite from this perspective. Good video for sure!
