    Hello everyone and welcome back to my channel! Today I am doing another super long Ember Tetra care guide because they are such an awesome species, and they I don't think any fish species is as easy as people try to make them seem.

    Any photos/art that is not my own came directly from Canva with their “free” images. Unless the image is directly of my own pet, it is very safe to assume that I did not take that photo and you can find it either in the links above or on Canva I try to specify from video to video exactly what images I use, but with Canva it is difficult to link back to the original material. Also, if you are looking for an image and it is not linked, keep in mind I may not always remember or be completely accurate because I create the thumbnails, videos and take my own photos all at different times in the process of video creation. Thank you for understanding :)

    Thank you so very much for this detailed guide. Long isn’t bad; I thoroughly enjoyed this presentation. I’m considering a school of these for my Betta Kingdom to increase the bioload for my ailing pothos plant(s).

      I'm glad that it could be of some help! I definitely prefer the longer form care guides, simply because it often feels impossible to give animal care quickly! Hope your Betta Kingdom continues to do well, and maybe some of these guys can help the pothos :)

    Awesome video, found this very interesting and informative, your channel is growing so fast, it's great to see!!! Ember tetras are amazing species of tetra. I'm thinking about doing a betta sorority aquarium soon. My new aquarium is nearly ready. So excited to get the male betta (solid black)

      Oh no! I really hope that you can figure out a way to treat it! My betta got ich once and I used small amounts of salt, the full dose Ich X and API Stress Coat. I really hope that they're healthy and doing well at the moment. Let me know if you need any help because I would love to help you on this! It's definitely very stressful as something to deal with when bringing home new fish, but I'm here to help if you need anything! Have a good day :)

    Yay! Another video! I love all the plants on your desk and the hot coco made me thirsty😂 I never knew ember tetras actually prefer darker substrate.And I love all the fish clips what camera do you use?

    • @ThrivePetDesign
      @ThrivePetDesign  3 года назад

      Ahaha thank you!! In my experience, almost every type of fish prefers darker substrate, they just feel less exposed against brighter colors. There's nothing wrong with using lighter colors though, I would just recommend more hiding spots to combat that :)

    • @ThrivePetDesign
      @ThrivePetDesign  3 года назад

      I use a Canon Rebel T6 for the fish clips. I'm really into photography, and I've had it for a few years, so I decided to start using it for filming as well, just because it really does improve the quality and everything! :D

  • @BreakerInc
    @BreakerInc 8 месяцев назад

    I had nowhere to get them but petco, lost the first one a few days ago after like.. 9 months, he started breathing real fast and looked like he was on drugs (HUGE pupil), and now another one KIND OF seems to be doing the same thing, but not extreme, so I'm keeping an eye on them, but hell.. Any thoughts? They ARE in a planted, filtered tank with all the beneficial bacteria, low waterflow because they're in a shrimp tank with neo caridinas, so.. hard water and all that. They are in a ten gallon, also, for the record.

  • @madelinecorrigan9912

    • @ThrivePetDesign
      @ThrivePetDesign  3 года назад +1

      Thank you SO much! That really means a lot to me, because that was my goal. They really love the tannins, I think! The tank is a 20 gallon, so it holds about 15-16 gallons of water. :)

    • @ThrivePetDesign

      @@reptilepals4011 alright, sounds cool. Just make sure you have a filter and heater as well, as those are necessary components to betta keeping! I find it easier to keep bettas in tanks (especially as five gallons of water is about 50 pounds, and I'm not sure if a kritter keeper can support all of that). I have a betta fish care guide video if you need any help! I'm glad you're going with 5 gallons though, your betta will love that 😊
