    Jon, you forgot Thors stepson Ullr! And something almost everyone forgets is that Magne and Mode (Swedish names) are demigods. Which means that they inherited different divine traits from their dad. Magne inherited Thors strength and Mode got his bravery, which is fitting since “Mod” is Swedish for bravery. Thrudr or Trud is more mysterious, I’ve heard her being called “Trud the Mighty”, Magne is called “Magne the Strong” and Mode is “Mode the brave”.

    Jon, might I recommend doing an episode on The Koopalings from the Mario franchise? I mean if you want an origin story that is certainly messed up) then I think you're in for a treat. Especially you have to compare their video game to their animated counterparts. Yes, they have "cartoon counterparts" in both "The Adventures of Super Mario Bros 3 and "Super Mario World." Heck, there's even the messed-up fact they're based on a creature from Japanese Mythology, called the Kappa.

    Funny thing is, in the original old Norse story, Óðinn gets pissed at Þórr for giving the horse, Gullfaxi, to Magni. He's primarily mad because it was the finest horse in the realm next to his own, Sleipnir. Óðinn also gets mad because Magni(who supposedly is only 3 days old when he lifted the Jǫtunn) is the son of a Jǫtunn. Kind of crazy when you know their family tree.

    Seriously. Everybody's favorite, DBZ has some very messed up origins of the dragon balls with them originating from a story of someone who boinked or got boinked by a dog. I can't recall all the details of it, but it has something to do with the dog being killed or hurt, and the running off into the sky leaving behind 9 mystical pearls.
    This is the actual reason why there's 7 dragon balls, changed from 9 to seven to try and cover up the creep myth connection...

    I have no doubt Love will become a member of The Young Avengers when she's old and experienced enough. I bet Marvel Thor would be horrified and disgusted of his God of War counterpart. He'd probably see him as a dark reflection of what could have been if Odin never banished him to Midgard to teach him humility and humanity and humbleness or never becoming a hero and an Avenger. And seeing his God of War counterpart as living proof of Gorr the God Butcher's belief that all Gods are vein and selfish beings who care for no one but themselves. Hell in Marvel Comics, the Original Nick Fury whispered that Gorr is right in Thor's ear and that made the Asier/Asgardian God of Thunder become unworthy of Mjölnir and made all other gods who try to pick it up unworthy. Which lead to the legendary hammer being wielded by Jane Foster in becoming Lady Thor.

    I just would like to point out that the eda's were written during the times of Catholicism and as such have their interpretation of it. In saying that a giant misconception is that thor is Odin's son when in fact thor is odins father. The evidence of this, is norse beliefs are based on Germanic beliefs and has been discovered by archaeologist that woden/wotan was the son of thor. The info is harder to find due to the popularity of the modern literature but amongst archaeologist they have found evidence that says otherwise

    • @truekurayami
      @truekurayami 2 года назад +1

      Nordic vs. Germanic vs. Celtic interpretations are sketchy in nature due to the intermingling of the cultures without solid records and how mythology evolves over time. It used to be at one point Thor was seen as the highest Aesir in Norse Myth instead of Odin due to dominion and character archetype but after the Nordic tribes started becoming more Kingdoms Odin took the lead as he was more in line of a King archetype compared to Thor's Warrior. Even Greek Myths have similar issues as Persephone actually predates her uncle/husband Hades as Queen of the Underworld sense there are records we have found with only Zeus and Poseidon as the sons of Chronos and Poseidon playing a lot of Hades role alongside what we know him played with the 3 sons of Chronos. or Eros being represented as the original creator Chaos, or as the son of Aphrodite and embodiment of one of the seven forms of Love in Greek Myths.

    You know, if I have to say anything about magnum Modi is a yader, a bunch of a holes, but the thing is you get the feeling they're like this because of their father, who did this to them because of odin, oh wasn't a great dad to him in God of war ragnarok And by great dad I mean a dad who literally treated his son and heck his grandson's like shoot so it's kind of understandable but in a way you do get that thor Still loved Magni and Modi.

    I would say if Ragnarök had a Kratos in Norse Myth Everybody gone die. Giants and all. what a story. The god of war the last man standing at the end of the world. Asier, jontor, vanahaiem gods all gone. Loki, world serpent, finrir all gone, armies of helheim and Valhallah gone. People forget Kratos didn’t just kill the Gods of Olympus he killed the Oracle, fate sister, the personification of death, the titans, his family, his mom. Everybody gone die.

    just imagine In the third game Forseti along with Sindri,Sinmara,Hermod,Vidar and Vali could be the next Villains Avenging the death of the Gods and the destruction of Asgard with a new Asgard building and they try to get revenge on Kratos and Atreus/Loki as well as Hela/Hell the Loki's daughter,Sigyn and the Loki/Atreus himself as a villain he is the final boss
    would be incredible to see and still bring the Dead Gods back Like an extra secret plan of Odin that maybe he could still be alive just like his Huggin raven Who Survived the final battle and this can be used in some way with the help of Forseti and also Thor could still be alive and bring back the Thor's sons and Baldur & Thor himself
    and they could also include the Norse heroes Siegfried/Sigurd and Beowulf They like Enemies for us to face and also the animals of Odin,Freyr and Thor That the wolves and the Horse from the all father Odin,the Boar of Freyr Gullinbursti and the Thor Goats did not appear as well like the good and peaceful Gods who were mentioned in 2018 but have not yet appeared such as:
    Bragi,Nana,Meili,Idunn,Hodr and Ullr
    and also explain who the mysterious wolf Hrodvitnir is the possible father of Skol and Hati and explain what's happened to him and where he is and it would also be amazing to fight Against the Kraken and explain what happened to the 3 dragons brothers What did we free and where are they
    Imagine all these characters/Gods,more stories of the giants who died for Thor but were not placed and told/used in the game,More Valkyries,Norse Heroes and Animals/Creatures appearing in the next game or in more dlcs would be incredible
    another game to close the Norse Saga and also an origin game Telling the stories and living them as they really happened Mainly showing Feye's story With the stories of Mimir/Freya and the Mural/Tales of the giants and seeing the news giants that were not placed and their stories were not told because in the original mythology some that were not placed and they were killed by Thor together It would be amazing to see the others Vanir and Aesir Gods and their War that These others Gods exist in this universe would be great I hope this happens in the future.. 🤔🥺😎👍🙏🙏 like and Bye!
