It sounded weird to me until I remembered that nuts, cheese, and dried fruit is a common snack combination so it 100% makes sense. Still haven't tried it because American bread is literally worthless

Also cashews crushed with diced tomatoes with italian dressing is a great combo mix. I sound like president of tomato fanclub.

Microwaved hot dogs, dipped in maple syrup with white cheeder cheezits on the side. This was my favorite snack as a kid and tried it again a few months back. It was still delicious. Also you microwave the hot dogs until they explode and split so they have more surface area to hold the syrup
Heres a weird food combo that is somehow actually edible. A PB&J Burger... A burger with peanut butter and grape jelly. A local restaurant has this on their menu and according to my brother, who refuses to eat most things that get cooked in our house, actually loved it... Even the restaurant owner was surprised by how good it is (obviously, he put it on the menu).

And if you put half a teaspoon of soy sauce in a caramel, you get salted caramel but with a bit of depth. Also I used to get called weird for jam and cheese but then we all grew up and found out about charcuterie boards so guess I was ahead of the curve on that one, at least in my peer group.

Fun fact about the ice cream and soy sauce mix: You know how you have both taste receptors for salt and sweet flavors? Well, we also have taste receptors for BOTH of these flavors that are rarely used because it’s a rare combination to find naturally, probably also why people find it so tasty.
