- Here is a John Deere Z355R New Belt and Deck install on a Z-TRAK 48" Deck. Here you will see how the belt runs and putting the deck back on. We ain't professionals but it will give an idea on how to do it. The manual is pretty much useless.

Sheryl, you kick ass!!!! Girl power!!!! This was the only helpful video I found! Thank you!!!
You can do it without dropping the deck..It's still challenging..Good job girl
we sharpened the blades while we were at it
rather painful to watch when you attach the drive belt. Get a short length of rope and loop it around the large spring on the deck. Use it to remove the spring from the "tie down" point. This will alleviate all the tension on the drive belt and then you can easily slip the belt around the motor pulley. Once in place, simply use your rope to stretch out the spring and reattach it to the anchor point. Preston... 30 seconds and done! I just finished replacing the deck lift cable.. what a pain in the patootie but way better than taking it to the shop. Happy mowing~
that is a great idea
Dang Sheryl, what an excellent mechanic you make!!!😁💖
I love working on things and getting my hands dirty

I've been on this belt thing for over a weekend and I'm beginning to believe that the Amazon people sent me the wrong freaking belt take it to one for the e and not for the r the e I guess stand for front mount it's not a zero turn
The 355E and the 355R have the same deck belt. I have gotten this one twice now and it works great www.ebay.com/itm/275669896582?epid=16051542525&hash=item402f34cd86:g:e9gAAOSw8uFj4RcM&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAA0HAGhIRE1pcFmKgUN1GFut3suKqJsXe%2FVXkU1gdOK58bPKS2OiDJZzkYetadeSbOusHQLlBGiTdI2qQfPgFE%2F2UWkHGSdKW%2FfW8x1eakpsmFPcTKJdzMmhOQ5RTT3mcP3u2LET4KOVW04cQHdrcTRxXFQeREVar%2FXHegpweQe%2BBKs9E4KY9lBXzvf8PY5uHpRzzx1inNQkj%2Fyfj%2FaTDFxSQMAobKnP1rrPeHt2C1t1iJJk%2B3fr8G%2BDUaSQJx5mlPlMYMnOwbtMBFf0TaIZPOfPo%3D%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR8KV1YCNYg
I don't think you have to drop the whole deck
It would be so difficult if you do not
@@RandyECombs I just did mine in 30 minutes without dropping the whole deck off
You guys didn't show step by step.
All you had to do was release the spring pully
iooal
vum.fyi
You don't have to do all that.
