In Rythian's defense, super boing has such sudden changes in direction and speed that it's probably a lot easier to hit a small boinging target at long range than close-up, even though the distance makes the target a lot smaller. But to Ped's credit, super boing makes a player move very slowly, so it's a simple matter to just sprint away and _make_ a close-up encounter _into_ a long-range one.

The reason Kirsty is difficult to hit is actually mostly distance. When someone moves quickly it is impossible to track them up close as they leave your field of view and you have to now guess where they are. When far away they are constantly in view and their movement becomes predictable. Size has some impact.
As one of these dreaded 2000 babies turning 23 this year, we still definitely learned to play cards on holidays with our parents. What they seem to not realise is that we are still a pre smartphone generation in some respects. No kids except the very well off had a smartphone until high school. We still had to rely heavily on books to research things in primary school. It's the kids born after 2005 that grew up immersed in the digital age. We got to watch it grow alongside us.
I think the Loot Goblin should trigger the "What's in my Pocket" randomizer so everyone gets something and there's more incentive for everyone to try get the Goblin (And then have Cupid link a player and the Goblin together)😆
4:16 Regarding younger generations never having played any card games - that's sorta true for me ('98), mainly because the only 'card' game my family ever liked playing was cribbage. I've played some form of poker with my friends In later years, but that was only a few times - and I can't really remember how to play.
I think it would be nice to have each player's base HP scaled to the player model's size, like with the minifier - smaller characters with less HP and larger ones with more HP. So, tiny Kirsty would get punished more for getting hit (one-shot by a donconnon) and Ben's old model might be balanced with more HP (but still vulnerable to a red matter bomb or other things that typically one-shot). Wouldn't that be intuitive?
Problem is that doesnt account for model hitboxes, like for example, there was a time(May still be) where almost all of Ben's model counted as a headshot.
@@snark6395 True. And Zoey's model is (probably) a small character with a relatively big head hitbox, so it'd make Zoey pretty squishy. Still, something should counteract smaller hitboxes.
Ped sniping successfully with the revolver at Kirsty as Rythian melts down at not being able to hit Kirsty was just glorious. As was the parasite play earler. Ped definitely wins the episode.
I think that the shadow shouldn’t die that quickly, i believe a good solution would be to make it so that the shadow has a 90 second death timer that charges only while they are next to the person allowing them to go away for a bit so that it is not obvious that they depend on someone’s presence to live.
13:58 Weapon idea: the noisy cricket gun from Men In Black. Hits hard, but the recoil is maxed out. Would be a form of flight if the fire rate was higher.
It's pretty dangerous to have train tracks go right down the main street of town. There's a reason the stations are a little far away as it's safer and less noisy.
The best part is Ped dropping Kristy in the air with a revolver from a distance With Rythian complaining about how hard she is to hit in the background
as a 23 year old, i will say we still grew up with a lot of the older stuff of the 90s, we know card games and board games, know what a floppy disk is and how to properly use a PC, had pogs, a megadrive, PS1s, original gameboys, maybe its different for those without older siblings but because they had all the popular things from the 90s it was also all used by me
I have a game I play with my grandparents called Joker - I put one in the deck, shuffled of course, and assign a die roll to each player (Double up for more players or use DnD dice). When it lands on your number you draw a card and place it face up. If you get a pair you place them together (Reds are pairs, blacks are pairs, reds and blacks are not pairs.). Each card is worth 1 point and each pair gives 3. Game is played until the Joker is pulled, and whoever pulls the Joker automatically gets zero points. So it can only be played with 3+ people
As a young 20 something currently going through college, I was absolutely shocked to find out that not only did MOST of the people my age not know how to play cards, but the vast majority of those that did only knew how to play Texas holdem or blackjack.
I think German playing cards traditionally have what are essentially two Jacks (an unter and an ober) and one King. If you wanted you could take that model, make the long/black suits Kings and the short/red suits Queens, but they are still of equal rank. Take a leaf from Latin's book and label them R for Rex or Regina, then take from Italian and French Triumphs games (i.e. Tarot) and label your unter and ober equivalents cards J for Jack and C for Cavalier.
