- Viktor Faust took on Iago Kiladze in the undercard of the Ortiz vs Martin pay per view on New Years Day at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. This was truly an epic Heavyweight bout that had five knockdowns in two rounds resulting in Viktor Faust's victory after a fight stoppage. Faust's record improved to 9-0.

This is a great preview for a second fight! Big props for both fighters getting back up.
Again, could have shown us the entire fight that lasted 5 minutes in total but PBC editors fail again. What a great fight, horrible refereeing. I understand Kiladza reaction, it would have been big for his career had he won after all that.

Of course he was already shaken, but because he tried to take a step forward in the middle of walking backwards he had a misstep. I also think the ref was already fed up with him punching after calls to break and rabbit punches. Crazy fight though
It would be more accurate to say the ref was against hum from the start. It was the refs job to make sure Faust won. Money talks. I'm not saying this is isolated; it is more 'the norm' in boxing.

That commentator is really trying his very best to defend the ref's bad call. I guess in the context of the fight it's understandable, but not even the guys at ringside are that convinced.

There is no such thing as an "early stoppage". It doesn't exist. Boxing is a life-threatening sport. If one fighter is not responding properly, fight is over. Period.

A precise call. He was just not walking straigth to the referee. The call may be look like an emotional slip but it is not like that. Good Referee.
Noteworthy is that if I were in the Referee's shoes I just let them fight a for a bit (c:) more. That's why on the look of the people (included myself as I said) it's a bad or at least a not perfect call.

That was a terrible stoppage. Both men knocked each other down. He stood up fast and responded to commands. This ref is a rookie.

The ref called it prematurely. It was a competitive fight and both scored knockdowns, why would you stop that? He was wobbling like the previous knockdowns why stop now?
