Well, the first match wasn't convincing for Helenius. I love the guy, fellow Scandinavian, but he was outlanded in all rounds until the TKO. The rematch showed massive improvement though, I'm happy for him.

It was easy to see indeed. Even in the first fight, he never looked bothered and you saw the match up was made for helenius. He was hit more but he hit a lot harder and is a a better boxer than the other stiff fools. Especially if you’re into Scandinavian boxing you know helenius has been injured many years but is back to form. A man who blocks with his face faces a man who hits among the hardest in the division, it’s not rocket science and a huge disrespect to helenius and only cements how foolish boxing fans are, subjected to the hype when they know fighters, same with usyk Joshua.
So glad to see Helenius back in big fights and winning. The dude has had his fair share of bad luck with injuries and also contractual disputes. The way he came back beating an A-side fighter clearly in his late 30's, twice, has given his career a well earned spin to the positive side. The final chapter for Helenius is yet to be written, but I whole heartedly hope it'll be as succesful and as glorious as The Nordic Nightmare deserves.
I fear if he is going to fight like this against Wilder then Wilder will knock him out because he is slow and static. He does not move and in front of Wilder that is not a good strategy. Helenius is a very good boxer, with height and power. He had bad luck during his career due to a bad hand injury that took him out of the ring for a long time. And if i'm not wrong, he had a problem with his promoter that ruined that part of his career in my opinion
Sauer team didn't let him rest properly. He was also suffering from a long undiagnozed illness of TWAR (basically Lung Khlamydia) that didn't let him breathe correctly which got medicated recently.
He's always been a monster puncher, honestly just needed this kind of confidence to put it all together. I'm glad to see this late resurgence from him, he's earned himself a title eliminator at least.
Because there was a period where he got KOd by Duhaupas after a layoff created by an injury and he seemed to lose his confidence for a few years. That Kownacki win has given him a lot of confidence again and now he's boxing to his potential.

robert sounds like he's got hitting power and is willing to take time to throw punches more so consistently. dont know exactly how he'll square off with deontay, but you could hear his hits at times like they were landing on an actual hitting bag, such as in the beginning of the 6th round. adam did a good job of not letting the hits he took hinder him long term.

robert sounds like he's got hitting power and is willing to take time to throw punches more so consistently. dont know exactly how he'll square off with deontay, but you could hear his hits at times like they were landing on an actual hitting bag, such as in the beginning of the 6th round. adam did a good job of not letting the hits he took hinder him long term.
