Well, the first match wasn't convincing for Helenius. I love the guy, fellow Scandinavian, but he was outlanded in all rounds until the TKO. The rematch showed massive improvement though, I'm happy for him.
@@Slagterfar even in the first fight you could see from the early rounds that kownacki will probably get clipped hard and he did, so this fight was easy money since helenius is a decent counter puncher who hits hard and kownacki doesn't have good defence at all and 0 head movement
@@softpianomusic7773 It's 'easy money' only looking back. Bookmakers are not stupid and the odds offered usually reflect approximately the real chances of fighters. Everyone agrees Kownacki has horrible defense of even no defense, and he did take a lot of punches in previews fights as well, from fighters who were not bums. But he was landing even more punches. I'm not surprised at all that Helenius was still underdog in the rematch. Congrats to Helenius, happy for reviving his career.
@@Slagterfar Helenius had a different level of confidence in this fight than in the previous one. He seemed scared to take a solid shot in the first fight and he fought like that since the Duhaupas fight. His newfound swagger had him looking like a prime Vitali in there haha.
It was easy to see indeed. Even in the first fight, he never looked bothered and you saw the match up was made for helenius. He was hit more but he hit a lot harder and is a a better boxer than the other stiff fools. Especially if you’re into Scandinavian boxing you know helenius has been injured many years but is back to form. A man who blocks with his face faces a man who hits among the hardest in the division, it’s not rocket science and a huge disrespect to helenius and only cements how foolish boxing fans are, subjected to the hype when they know fighters, same with usyk Joshua.

Crazy I watched Robert fighting nearly 12 years ago. He was on the rise but fell. Glad to see him back winning big.
There are good reasons for that fell. Money. Greed. Not by Helenius but Sauerland.
@@harrikuusjarvi3795 I agree I’m sure there was a reason but he was at his highest peak when he lost to the Frenchie and Whyte. Had he won those fights his career would not have stalled. I’m interested in seeing his next fight, these wins against Adam were great for his legacy.

@@Politicizemusic Yes. I hate then they fight like 1 or 2 times a year. It was almost like this before corona. Usyk just came and beat easily. Boxing is probably most hyped sport? Only handfull of guys can even dream about good fight. And that is not fair. And there should be only 1 (one) champ. My sport is much more high quality. Have beaten boxers easily with my feet and even hands. Not any high level but still. More often and less hyped fights please. I really enjoy these nit cant wait like 5 months next one.
So glad to see Helenius back in big fights and winning. The dude has had his fair share of bad luck with injuries and also contractual disputes. The way he came back beating an A-side fighter clearly in his late 30's, twice, has given his career a well earned spin to the positive side. The final chapter for Helenius is yet to be written, but I whole heartedly hope it'll be as succesful and as glorious as The Nordic Nightmare deserves.

I fear if he is going to fight like this against Wilder then Wilder will knock him out because he is slow and static. He does not move and in front of Wilder that is not a good strategy. It might work with lesser punchers. Helenius was known HEAVY right until his hand were broken multiple times. He hit forehead. Now he hot hard but chin etc. Huge difference in his age. He also is skillfull boxer.

As they say, "Styles make fights," and Robert's height and style are Kownacki's kryptonite, apparently. That being said, I've never personally been impressed with Kownacki's style, but it's clear that Robert took his confidence as well.

helenius looked super sharp with his punches, not only were they sharp but his reaction time as well was very fast, as soon as kownacki dropped a hand during an exchange helenius was ready to punch.

Helenius is a very good boxer, with height and power. He had bad luck during his career due to a bad hand injury that took him out of the ring for a long time. And if i'm not wrong, he had a problem with his promoter that ruined that part of his career in my opinion
Sauer team didn't let him rest properly. He was also suffering from a long undiagnozed illness of TWAR (basically Lung Khlamydia) that didn't let him breathe correctly which got medicated recently.

Helenius is top 3 hw when it comes to power, a lot of people don't realize how hard he hits. That's why Kownacki will never beat him not even in dreams. Styles make fights and heavy handed tall guy that keeps his distance will always destroy someone who has a habit of blocking punches with his face.
I didn't realize how hard he hits until I saw the highlights of the first and 2nd fight. The camera angles were good, close and right up on the action.

He's had an up and down career with long layoffs...seems to be catching a second wind.
Well, he isn´t American, He isn´t Britt, or even Mexican ; ) They don´t see enough market value in him. But very soon they have to.
Because there was a period where he got KOd by Duhaupas after a layoff created by an injury and he seemed to lose his confidence for a few years. That Kownacki win has given him a lot of confidence again and now he's boxing to his potential.
Didn't like the fact that Kownacki went for low blows a few times, other than that a very good fight!

Kownacki showed in these two fights against Helenius he is not a winner nor a champ. Helenius on the other hand is a fantastic fighter, should have been offered some big money fights in his career. I hope Helenius can cash in some in the last fights he have. The Nordic Nightmare 🥊

robert sounds like he's got hitting power and is willing to take time to throw punches more so consistently. dont know exactly how he'll square off with deontay, but you could hear his hits at times like they were landing on an actual hitting bag, such as in the beginning of the 6th round. adam did a good job of not letting the hits he took hinder him long term.
