    Thanks for your thorough review, two things that I noticed that I don't like is the old key shape still being there when it's a push button start, also why do they persist on the off centered reversing camera? Other than that if they fix some of the issues you presented this could be one of the better utes to buy.

    Idk why they ranked mitsubishi last when they conducted the megatest. Here in the philippines, mitsubishi is one of the leading car brands. Triton may not have the best in specs but when it comes to performance, it always outrun the toyota hilux and ford ranger. Thats legit. Mitsubushi is also reliable. Speed wise, there is no doubt its hella fast than hilux and ford. Power wise, it may have have a lesser hp and torque but it ia better than hilux and ford tho. Mitsubishi set a exceptional standard.

    I have friend who is mechanic, and said seen drastic increase of cars where same engine carried over with new single or twin turbos. He told me too many cars have been updated with turbos, when they need bigger engines. I asked him if he was an issue, and said no, because making fortune. Finding people in remote areas without turbos available, enables him to charge whatever he wants - even if under warranty.

    You would think utes/trucks would be the first category of vehicle to implement 4 wheel disc brakes. It's utterly disgraceful that these companies would look to save costs on necessary safety equipment. It's as bad as VW not having airbags in the rear of the old model which has now thankfully changed. The other area they save money that really pïßses me off is no reach control on the steering wheel and seats with no lumbar support! FFS it's 2024. These elements have been used in cars since the 90's!

      Almost every Japanese car sold in Australia is about 7-20k more expensive than it's in Japan (if available). German manufacturers do the same. The reason is simple, Australians are wealthier and willing to pay more. In the past 4 years, Toyota and some major have significantly increased the price of all models but have little or no impact on the sales.

      yes everything with adblue/SCR has a DPF as the SCR system only breaks down oxides of nitrogen and is placed after the DPF good thing about adblue/SCR is it reduces EGR use by at least 80% so much less likely to carbon up the intakes with soot

    • @steveallen1340
      @steveallen1340 4 месяца назад

      Yes but hopefully the DPF does not need to burn off as often because the engine can run leaner and have the adblue deal with the extra oxides of nitrogen.
