      RUclips algorithm is just recommending it to old people who would not even bother watching BUT is interested to watch later, BUT don't know how to search this channel so they ask their child to SEARCH it for them and then watch 😂
      There are some young viewers, but even young viewers have little time on youtube because of school and some are adults and working. So yeah, this channel SHOULD have won an award years ago when they're normal view count is 300k above to 1M views.
      But I think they already won something, and that is being recognized on RUclips.

    I'm gonna be honest here, and I feel this a pretty bold statement, but I think the Triton Athlete is currently the biggest competitor to the Ranger Wildtrak which is widely considered as the best in it's class (The Ranger Raptor is on a class of it's own). Now before you say anything, I know, the Ranger has much more tech, rear-discs, rear power outlets (not sure if it's also available in the wildtrak but I know it is available on the raptor), more power on paper (around 200ps & 500nm) and probably a slightly more spacious cabin. However, I will argue that the Triton is still very much a good option. Sure, it's not as focused on tech as say the Ranger, but it focuses more on practicality, drive, and being a workhorse pickup. It has almost the same if not more payload capacity than the wildtrak, and it's interior is very much focused on functionality such as the big ac buttons designed so that you can still press them even with gloves on like if you were on the job. Sure, on paper, the Triton has less torque, but keep in mind that the Triton can reach peak torque earlier, and it's engine also has a bigger displacement, so by no means is the Triton slow. Lastly, and what makes this Triton truly special in it's class, is it's 4x4 system, also known as Super Select 4WD-II. Mitsubishi's 4x4 system is by far one of, if not the best in the entire class, the closest to it being the Ranger. What really makes it special is that you can still use its 4WD mode (4H) on High-traction surfaces unlike with other 4x4s in the market, and Mitsubishi so far is still one of the only ones to have a 4WD system that is able to do that (aside from the Ranger Raptor). Paired with it's Drive modes, and if you were to give it some off-road tires, man this thing would be nearly unstoppable off-road! If only they were to make a RalliArt-Edition Triton based off of the AXCR-spec....

    • @MochizukiYuusei
      @MochizukiYuusei 4 месяца назад +5

      I'd also like to add that this is exactly why I'm so torn between the Ranger and the Triton for my first car, so I'd like to ask if there are any Triton and/or Ranger owners out there, what's it been like???

    • @GDarJuanJr
      @GDarJuanJr 4 месяца назад +7

      @@MochizukiYuusei that super select is really hard to beat. had it not been for that feature, i wont even look at Triton

    • @MochizukiYuusei
      @MochizukiYuusei 4 месяца назад +7

      @@GDarJuanJr Exactly!! That's what makes Mitsubishi 4x4s so special to me! I can really testify to how well Super Select works since my family has owned 2 Mitsubishi Montero Sport 4x4s, one which was a 2013 GLS V 4x4 MT, and now currently a 2023 GT 4WD AT, and man not once did it feel like it was struggling, Mitsubishi's 4x4 System truly is one of if not the best in it's class! (that or I'm really biased to mitsubishi haha)

      I'd have to agree, but I can't help but wait on the all-new Hilux, because if the rumors are true, and if they do design it similarly to the Tacoma, the "pickup wars" in the past couple of decades will be playing on a whole 'nother level.

  • @superfinds6430
    @superfinds6430 4 месяца назад +3

    We have the triton 4x4 MT GLX and it rides smoothly and you're comfortable inside ever if it's a long drive or you're stuck in traffic. The chassis is also very stable in rough terrains, in curvy road and especially when you're in the highway doing 100+KM. My only nitpick is that the manual transmission is really short in the 2nd gear(got used to the sedan's transmission). Overall it's quite a good car even without the shiny tech.

      One of the main reasons talaga for the price of the Athlete is it's 4x4 system, truly one of, if not, the best in it's entire class, with the only 4x4 getting close to it's performance being the Ranger Raptor, and that's 400k more compared to the Triton Athlete... then again, you do get BFGoodrich KO2 A/Ts, a skidplate, fox shocks, and a wider track with the Raptor, but still, The Triton, and Mitsubishi's 4x4 system in general, the Super Select 4WD-II System, is genuinely amazing, alongside the off-road modes available with the Athlete. As Caco himself mentioned in the review, the Athlete's Ride and Drive is the biggest star of the show, and it's something you can't truly be sure of until you get to drive it yourself

And why it doesn't have adaptive cruise control, speed limiter and lane keeping assist which the Australian version has??? You can take away the driver monitoring system and auto start/stop feature which I find it rubbish. Heated seats are also not necessary as Philippines doesn't have winter. Do note the Philippine price is not that far from Australian price with all these features taken away. Such a shame.😢

    The Legacy auto makers are in a state of decline and are in trouble on the international market in the face of very serious competition from BYD. Honda recently has decided to shutdown its Authhaya assembly plant in Thailand signaling and end to decades of operation making ICE vehicles by 2025 as BYD steadily eats up its share in the Thai Market. In the Philippines, it is not obvious yet but that shockwave is coming. BYD's SHARK is something to look forward to for those who can wait.

      I'd like to say otherwise to that, my family has had 2 Monteros already, having one for almost 10 years, being a 2013 GLS-V MT 4x4, and another for almost 2 years now, which is a GT 4WD. Not once have either ever broken down and the most serious issue we had was a malfunctioning aircon in our 2013 Montero.
