Its not that, its that the side of the face that was illuminated on the first one had her beauty side and the other one was illuminating her “not so pretty” side
be careful with fluorescent lights in your shots! they have a refresh rate that can make a flickering effect in-camera, depending on your framerate. your eye won't pick it up, but the camera will. :)
This isn’t reverse key lighting. You have the light positioned at a 45degree angle in front of your subject which is just key lighting. Reverse key lighting would be if you placed your light source behind the subject at a 45
Putting the lighting on the farther side of the face actually completely changed the facial look of the model. Lighting really does play a huge role in Cinematography and Videography!
This video is too dark and makes the whole thing seem poorly lit. Maybe the brightness on your editing screen is too high and/or the room around you is too dark? I'm in a dimly lit bathroom and my brightness has to be all the way up for this video to look "normal", but then the whites of the interface on my oled screen screen are crazy harsh.. The surrounding shorts all look fine at about 2/3-3/4 brightness. Even other "cinematic" videos like Pat Kay look fine at those brightness levels.
No such thing as “reverse key” lighting. It’s either far side key, or upstage lighting. Reverse makes no sense as all, considering it’s standard practice. Reverse of what?
I don't know but the first lighting looked more soft and cinematic in contrast the second lighting looks harsh on the face
As soon as I saw that, I came down to comment this exact thing
Literally the exact opposite

I think it just depends what mood you’re trying to achieve in your scene, both look great

Great tips, love the reverse key lighting technique!
Dude🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I don't understand the second tip. Do you put the light in behind the camera on the left side? What do you mean?
Thanks !

Should I use a Polaroid or a Sony Camera
And when the filming is done on a cell phone, I can't change the aperture, which parameter should I change?

Adding light in the background also gives it depth and makes it different than just taking without any light.
Not to confuse people, the correct pronunciation for bokeh is no “ah” sound. Just “bo-ke” from its Japanese origins.
Bro i really love this art
But don't know how to make videos climatic.
But my imagination is on next level .😅
Guide me pls

The moment you mentioned about low aperture, I stop watching. Wasting my time.

ND filter is nearly essential for an operational low-aperture. Whites will be blown out unless you’re under super ideal lighting otherwise.
