Nice to see you have a presence on RUclips, and I'm getting my new iPhone 15 Pro Max tomorrow. Very timely. Thanks.
Hope you love it!!!!!
Appreciate it is very helpful!
Thanks!!!
Hi Ken, Are you planning to get the Nikon Z 180-600mm lens and review it? Thanks.
Of course! Still waiting ; I’ve got the R6 II and RF 28/2.8 now for review.
@@KenRockwellTV Great! R6 II is the best option for $2k fullframe camera imo.
I have nikon z5 and z30.. does the sb-Nikon SB-23 work to the both??thank you
I doubt it. The SB-23 was from before digital, which requires a very different kind of flash. I prefer Canon, where my old film-era flashes still work great on Mirrorless.
What is the actual program used to transfer from old to new ?? Can I just use FINDER and Copy / Paste ?? I've done backup to iCloud and to my computer - can I use the computer version (in Finder) and do RESTORE from old to new ??
You ideally do it with just two phones: no computer, no problem, no program ands no apps. There certainly is no Finder. Thanks!
Using iTunes or a Mac or computer is the wrong way to do it, experience has shown.
Hi Ken, do you think adding a Moment 18mm Non-Distorting Ultrawide Conversion Lens on the iPhone 15 Pro Max is a good idea?
No!!!!! Those lenses are completely obsolete. They were from olden days before iPhones had built-in 13mm equivalent lenses. Thanks!
@@KenRockwellTV ohhh I see. Thank you 💙
Hi Ken, do you recommend upgrading from the iPhone 13PM?
I have the 13PM and will not be upgrading.
The differences aren’t that obvious unless you take a lot of pictures - but who doesn’t take a lot of pictures? Most of us use our phones so much even small improvements matter. See also kenrockwell.com/tech/is-it-worth-it.htm
I know how to transfer data, I just want to watch because it’s a Ken Rockwell video.
Same here! 😅
You’re too kind. Thanks!!!

back up to i tunes always first
iTunes? That sounds old school. What about iCloud?
@@80-80. duh cause icloud only gives 5gig free dummy
Back up everywhere! Good news is we’re not messing with the donor phone so if anything goes wrong, the source should be unchanged and we can start again.
The process where the iPhone generates a static looking code that you aim the other phone's camera at is the way to do it. Like you said - never, ever, ever, let the cell phone store clerks set your phone up for you and transfer over your stuff. Do it yourself!
Thanks!
Problem isn’t who does it; it’s the leaving of your old phone before you’ve confirmed you got it all.
Heartbroken that they got rid of the leather cases. Not crazy about the FineWoven…maybe it’ll grow on me. I went ahead and bought the Andar Aspen leather case and I do recommend it if anyone else is a fan of leather cases. Tight snug fit, quality leather and the MagSafe is as strong, if not stronger than Apple’s.
I’ll have to check it out. I prefer the FineWoven to the Apple leather as Apple’s leather was always hard and basic. Thanks for the suggestion!
@@KenRockwellTV You’ve taught so so much over the years. You were my first intro to real photography back in my D40 days. Thanks for everything, Ken!
I’m loving the camera in the 15P…it’s so much fun!
You would think there would be more conscientious customer service transferring your data if you are buying a $1,500 phone every September.
Further reason to periodically back up all of your data to external devices instead of trusting it to remain intact on a single device.
This is probably why Verizon last time told us they wouldn't have anything to do with transferring data. My friends got burned a few years ago.
