- Tamimi Pohan has Osteogenesis Imperfecta, also known as brittle bone disease, a genetic disorder that causes his bones to fracture. Since birth, the Gan Eng Seng Primary School student from Singapore has suffered more than 50 fractures in his arms, legs and spine.

I feel like crying when Tamimi said that he feels sorry for his parents taking care of him all the time. I'm very sure his parents love him. If they didn't they would have left him to perish the day he was born. But they didn't. They chose to take care of him.

Awww man. Fact, he is my friend. He use to be my class mate, he will not go to school for 1 month because of his fracture. So is hard for him to catch up on his studies. He is such a sweet boy 😊

I graduated from GESPS few years back, often times, we see Tamimi in school, but most of us didn't bother getting to know him better and often just ignored him. Watching this video, it really gave me an insight of what he have been feeling and his background, fight on Tamimi!

Tamimi and my girl were in the same kindergarten class. He is the bravest boy I have ever met and his parents are such gracious and kind people. Knowing them was our privilege.

Yesterday I saw a video where the Indonesian gojek driver cried terribly because he got the ride cancelled and today I am watching this.
I feel I need to be more thankful to God for what I have and what he had given.

I am the same age as him and from the same country as him. As a student in singapore, not everything is cheap and easy. Sometimes you gotta work hard for what u want in life and never give up. Now i am in secondary one like him. He is a graduate and he is happy for what he has done. So we must learn to be grateful and learn from tamimi☺
I'm glad that I only have a semi mild case of this. Osteogenisis Imperfecta. Granted I may be in a wheelchair but I can do just about anything a normal person can do other than walk. Reason for that is 3 leg breaks during my younger years and now my legs can't support full body weight. Anything less than half is fine lol.

No matter who you are, you are normal. don't let others say what is normal or not or make fun of you for not being the majority, you are unique in your own way and you should never let anyone judge you because of who you are mentally or physically.

There's still much work to be done but you will come through this as a family. He seems like a kid with a good head, smart and positive! I wonder if there's any way to get a toilet closer to the ground (like a plastic "potty" used by toddlers who can't reach the regular toilet) so he can be more independent and not have to use diapers. Or better, be able to move into an apartment with a wheelchair accessible toilet and shower.
