The video is helpful. Just to add that you must be careful when cleaning the flexible plastic inserts that are imprinted with the schematics (mine consists of three plastic sheets that are bonded together). I would recommend gentle brushing of this part, not using water or alcohol. If you do clean it with a liquid, any slight staining or moisture trapped within the insert will cause malfunction. After several tries, I finally got my K350 keyboard 100% working again. I find these keyboards to be the ideal combination of ergonomics and responsive feel. Thank you for posting, "Yesterday's Tech."
I didn't go as far as you did, I just popped the keys out and cleaned underneath them. Some of my keys are so warn, there no more letter on them. Fortunately the base and keys each have numbers on them to tell you where they go. This helped with the arrow. I wish I could add photos to this comment. I had 10+ years of dust, pet fur and food crumbs to clean.
Thank you! This was helpful. Helped me clean my K350. The wrist rest can be unscrewed too (some silver screws). I don't know if it's a good idea to soak it in water because it looks like it has some padding. I used a wet cloth. For me it wasn't necessary to remove the plastic connection layer (beneath the membrame). Also good to apply some small amount of grease on the metal retainers under the spacebar and enter key where it meets the plastic in the key.
The space bar is what I was watching for! Unfortunately you sped through this part. I’ll wanted to know how to place the bracket and where to pop it back on. This is different from the rest of the keys.
There are two plastic clips on the main board that the bracket slides under. The bracket needs to be almost perpendicular (slightly towards you) when installing but the two ends of the bracket that face in need to slide under the clips on the board. Hope this helps!
id you hold the spacebar so the main attachment point aligns with the base, you will see where the sides of wire has to slide underneath a tab. I used a really small screw driver to push the wire under it, then snapped the spacebar into place.
Hello great video, learn a lot. I also have the same model. Question, does the palm rest quality the same after washing it with water? Wouldn't it damage the quality of the leather? Thanks in advance.
Good video except the part where you put the space bar on. I can't figure out how to put the space bar with the metal rings on. Your video just skips this part and even slowing down, I can't figure it out. But otherwise, good video

Is there a way to modify the Caps Lock (Num Lock too?) Keys so when they are pressed, an indicator light comes on? I found a tossed out K350 (no receiver dongle) but later learned that there is no Caps Lock light!
Excepting the indicator on screen, I don't see any other option. If you don't see anything on screen showing the Caps Lock it's activated, try to install SetPoint. This is the Logitech software for this keyboard and other peripherals
Ive had my K350 wireless for around ten years. And its still clicking away! Ive used it so much that several keys have worn the letter off. So i repainted them and gave them a couple coats of clear fingernail polish so it'll last a little longer. Now Im trying to figure out how to replace that material on the wrist rest. It doesnt look fun to replace. lol
That wrist wrest is not supposed to be replaced, it’s definitely possible but very difficult and everything has to be hand made as I never saw such replacement parts
@@YesterdaysTech Well i have the keyboard all apart now, this wont be easy! The plastic part in the rest part was cracked so i have it epoxied and drying. Now to find a bunch of tiny clamps to hold the new material on when i glue it up. I'm going to use contact cement on it.
This was easy. I didn't take off every key; just enough to let me blow the cat hair out. Also, if your letters have worn off like mine, check Amazon for a sticker pack. Much cheaper than a new keyboard.
ive torn mine down a few times for cleaning, but never had to tear apart the innards like that. only do this if its filthy. also, i pop the keys off first, before taking off the cover and lay them out on a table in the same format as they are in the keyboard. makes replacing them faster

I cleaned my k350 and reassembled. The batteries work when on, it shows at the battery light spot. My issue is, since cleaning, it isn't discoverable to Bluetooth, so I can't use it. I am not skilled with electronics so I am not sure where the area inside the keyboard is that would be the specific area the Bluetooth signals to see if there is anything I did incorrectly during reassembly. Any ideas? Thanks!
There are 4 different versions of Logitech Wave, corded version known as Logitech Wave, cordless version known as Logitech Cordless Desktop Wave Pro bundled with mouse Logitech MX1100, wireless version known as Logitech K350, this one was also bundled with a wireless mouse as MK550 Wave Combo, and there’s also a bluetooth wireless version known as Logitech Wave. Regarding wireless versions, K350 and the Wave part of MK550 Bundle both works on Unifying Receiver, this is not bluetooth. The Wave part of Logitech Desktop Pro Wave has its own receiver c-ube35, and the bluetooth version works on c-uak42. The bluetooth version, both the keyboard and receiver have a red button. This was for helping you to identify your Wave keyboard. What is you version? Is your keyboard recognized in SetPoint Software? If so and does not respond when typing, most probably you separated circuit boards while cleaning and reassembling and you’ve put them back wrong, in a different order. If your keyboard is not seen by SetPoint, I suggest to disassembly and reassembly it back paying careful attention. Also try to re pair it through Logitech Unifying Software or by holding both red buttons if you have the bluetooth version.
@@YesterdaysTech Thank you so much for the info! My keyboard doesn't have a red button, never came with a mouse. It Is model number Y-RBN90. It's got the little red "sun" symbol under the K350, same as on the USB receiver. I opened the keyboard again and the circuit board seems to be seated properly. I took out the two silver screws that holding down the plastic sheets with imbedded wires under the metal piece. I tried seeing if I possibly had the metal piece upsidedown, but it is designed to only fit on one way (love it, for someone like me who tries my hand at doing things for myself but not overly skilled!). These wasn't anything that looked out of place. I have the software (set-point) and have had it paired no issues before I cleaned. It continued to function even after my kids spilled various nastiness on it, letting it marinate in liquids and crumbs. I've also cleaned it before with no issues, so I'm pretty stumped.
Thank you for the video. Are the keys running smooth when you pressed them once you reinstalled them? Or do you think some greese or WD40 needs to be put at the bottom of the keys?
I guess you're talking about those keys who has metal wire, such as Enter, Space, etc... In my case it wasn't needed, I didn't add anything, but if they're creaking, adding WD40 or any other lubricant might help.
I just took mine apart and cleaned it last night. Didn't pop the keys out, but scrubbed the whole key assembly in hot water with dish soap, and I went from a few sticky keys, to now almost all sticky keys. Did you do this cleaning on yours yet?
@@schneiderm93 The same happened to me. The keyboard was almost useless after I soaked it in hot water. I checked the Reddit forums and they are saying, that hot water deforms the plastic. I put the keyboard in the fridge for couple of hours and then I applied silicone grease at the bottom of the keys. Now its OK.
It is not leather. It is a thin high quality faux leather. My upper layer started peeling off. I peeled it out completely.nthen replaced with a decal sheet after heating it up a little with hair dryer.

grabbed one of these from Goodwill close to 10 years ago, have only ever put new batteries in it twice. An amazing keyboard

Okay but can you show where the metal should be fore the spacebar? I watched in .25 and did it exactly and it's sticking really badly.
I don't really understand what you mean by "sticking badly". If so, have you tried to use any kind of lubricant?

I'm sure you found the answer but you mount the spring to the space bar hanging down and then push it into the center hole.
