Y'all know that's because there isn't actually hot sauce on all but a few wings right? And the hot sauce they actually give the guests is pretty mild. It's staged as balls. Look at 16:30 or so when the host has to remind Seth to not play with his eyes and Seth can barely keep kayfabe.

The last 4 hit him hard and he just kept it together. Still joking around afterwards to keep the vibe up for the crew and guests. That's an industry pro right there.
One thing i will always love about Seth is how much he uplifts his friends and coworkers. So many people in showbiz seem to look at others as competition. The amount of times he highlights his writers is a good example of that.
I don't like him much as a comedian, although on himself can be pretty funny, as demonstrated here, but I grow on him as a human being every time I get to know him better.
I went to a taping of his show and he spent SO much time chatting with the audience, taking questions, etc. He really tried to connect with people, it was pretty special from someone who didn't have to interact at all.

As a long time hot food fan, one bite is just as hot as eating the whole thing. Eating more doesn't make it hotter.
I was thinking the same thing.. most guests are usually nibbling by the end.. Seth cleaned up them bones like a champ.
@Barbara Danley And with regards to 'quantity'.. taking a teensy-weensy bit of the hot oil/ sauce versus taking in a whole wing of the sauce certainly has a more potent and building effect.. With your logic, using a drop of the hot sauce or covering the wing in the hot sauce would have the same effect, which any 'hot food fan' would know, is certainly not the case.

I'll give Seth the award for being one of the most mentally fit people I've seen on here. He's obviously in great pain, but still listening to every question Sean puts forward. He's also one of the greatest sports, too. Like other comments have pointed out, he's taking BITES not just touching his tongue to it and biting off as small a piece as possible. I wonder if he went back later and sucked all the bones that Sean left?? LOL

Especially when he's clearly in pain. It's one thing to have an iron palate and feel nothing, it's far more impressive to feel it and keep returning to the source (sauce) of your agony. Seth went all in.
One of my favorite things about this show is Sean just ignoring his guests when they talk about how hot the wings are proceeds undeterred into his (excellent) questions.
He doesn't do it a lot. Depends on how vocal his guest is about it.

crabato001 Sean has mentioned that they often cut out the parts where he’s suffering from the wings because if it was shown every episode it would get quite annoying. I’m assuming that this might be the case for this as well

Seth's a beast, not only did he polish the wings off, he stuck with the questions, and I feel like Sean moved pretty fast from one to the next and he didn't even flinch. Hats off 🧐
This was way better than I'd expected (is that shady?). Seth's ability to still answer questions well while obviously dying and trying so hard not to touch his eyes after Da Bomb was incredible. Also, who wouldn't want a commercial break at some dinner parties?

Seth Meyers is probably the least awkward interviewee I have ever seen. He is just so natural, it was a great pleasure to watch!
Gulnara Umar but he’s also not like some of the other talk show hosts or comedians who com on and take over the entire conversation. He just naturally lets Sean guide the conversation and fills it with interesting content. Love that guy!
He is also a fantastic talk show host himself. He lets the guest talk and tell their story rather than jumping in constantly. Kimmel is probably the best of the rest if I had to judge between Fallon, Lettermen and Leno. Craig Ferguson was genius too

He didn't just eat the wings because he felt complied, he genuinely seem to like them! The Amsterdam suckings wings story solidifies it haha! And what definitely one of the greatest guest. Where most lose the ability to give full answers towards the end Seth still gave insightful and interesting responses, what a champ :)

I have watched many of Seth's late night pieces from his show online, and while I generally support his perspective, IMHO I find he has a tendency to provide a lot of lip service. He's good at his job, but I find SOME of the videos just echo other people's opinions instead of providing his own interpretation.
He has always come across that way. He says and does nothing here overtly different from nearly every other public appearance he's made (outside of his own show, that is). The few comments I've found so far maintaining this sentiment of "WOW! Seth is like a whole new person!" really do baffle me. It's just a video of Seth being Seth, with the some added hot wings.
I guess we simply disagree, then, and that's okay. Maybe my perspective is based on different experiences than your own. I've never really enjoyed his humour, and never considered myself a "fan", but my exposure to him is based on his SNL bits and his late night show. Neither of which ever consistently struck home with me. To me it off as forced.
I never came here to cause an argument, as much as I did just to comment on how this interview may have changed my perspective on him. I guess you'll have to take that as you will.
I just LOVE how Sean and these wings turn these celebrities back into human beings. I mean... DUH!! I know they ARE human but its just cool to see them be normal regular people and Sean is just so unfazed by someones level of celeb... KUDOS to Sean.. He is straight up a legend in his own right.
