  • Lakers missed out on Demar Derozan as he was signed and traded to the Sacramento Kings. Lakers News came out per Shams that the Lakers never even tried to trade for Demar. Lakers Nation looks like he was never getting Derozan, and the Lakers' attention and a Lakers Trade likely happen elsewhere.

    All these trades are nothing but noise and the Lakers ( in my opinion) are being used by players near twilight to leverage their chances of landing better opportunity at the expense of the Lakers ( damn!) and the team that signed these players thought they out smarted the Lakers..lets see in the end who will have the last laugh....ha!😊

    They ranked 14th in defense last season, up from 25th the season before. To compare - Denver won their championship ranked 15th in defense. They now have 2 clutch players now and added players to the bench that play solid defense. They need another big to back up Sabonis.

    I’m fine with neither of them coming. Too expensive. I’d rather have a Gary Trent Jr over both. Better player? No but definitely a better fit. And I don’t think LA pressure would bother him like it has others. He gets after it.

    Klay said the Lakers are just as toxic as the warriors. You really think someone who has made hundreds of millions, and walked away from a larger contract with the GSW cared about a 12% state income tax in California vs 0% in Dallas. Cost of living had nothing to do with it, Lakers are a toxic team. No one wants to jump on the team and get blamed by fans and LeBron on why they're not winning. I'm sure if being a Lakers carried that same sentiment as it did a decade or two ago, our free agency would have been alot different.

    • @dindjarin9063
      @dindjarin9063 Месяц назад

      Even when we win a championship they are still not happy and are sending petitions for certain players to not receive championship rings. And still complains about the roster and when Front Office listens and makes trades to address those concerns “we don’t have enough offense” then fans complain and say why did you trade away our 2020 championship team??? Even tho alot of guys were on one year deals. Also when you are fresh off of winning a championship the first thing fans say is “this is LA one championship isn’t enough we expect more” That’s a spoiled toxic fan. And let’s not talk about the toxic fans that say it didn’t count.

    Stop hating on the Kings kuz he chose the Kings to sign with. Derozan averaged 24ppg, outside of Fox & Monk there was nobody who could create their own shot. Kings defense got way better towards the end of the season with the emergence of Keon Ellis

      Speaking facts is not hating lmfao. Notice how you didn't have one counter point to what I said?
      Ellis was great defensively but what? You running Fox/Monk/Ellis/Derozan/Sabonis as your closing and starting 5? That would be the smallest team in the league. Kings ain't winning anything. You didn't need more offense, Kings have been a top offensive team the last few seasons, you needed size and defense. Kings ain't winning a championship

    • @94Que
      @94Que Месяц назад

      @@AISTheLakersShow correct me real quick if im wrong, is the offseason over yet ? Your assuming the Kings are done making moves, the Kings GM knows the Kings need more size & are actively in trade talks still for starting caliber wings. By no means did I EVER say the Kings are a championship team but they forsure upgraded their roster with Derozan.

    • @94Que
      @94Que Месяц назад

      @@AISTheLakersShow Your also way off on the Kings offensive rating, after having the best offensive rating in the 22-23 season they followed that up by dropping all the way off to 13th this past season. Im not sure where you got that info where it says the Kings were a top 5 offense last season.

    • @AISTheLakersShow
      @AISTheLakersShow  Месяц назад

      @94Que see now your adding other things to your argument. We weren't talking about the Kings future moves we were talking about Demar Derozan and the trade and impact. The assets and players you used to land demar could had been used for a bigger need such as size/Defense. Your now trying to change the argument to but they aren't done. What if they are? See I can kick the can down the street to. If we talking about Demar and his impact keep it that. Demar was not needed and a bad fit for a team that was top 5 in pace, and top 5 in offense before the Monk injury. Go look at the pace of all the teams demar was on. You didn't need another isolation scorer. You were better off getting like a jerami grant someone that help defend the Perimeter, shoot 40% keep the ball in fox/monks hands but can still go get a bucket and drop you 20. Fox has one of the highest usage rates in the 4th quarter in the league. You now have 3 guys that all need and do the same thing. Suns have the better 3 and they were awful because it all becomes redundant when it matters.

    • @AISTheLakersShow
      @AISTheLakersShow  Месяц назад

      @94Que your googling Offensive rating for the season. Monk was hurt the last quarter and there offensive efficiency tanked. When monk was healthy they were a top offensive team. Monk/Fox are their offensive executors and I know you'll probably say we'll now with demar if Monk or fax get hurt you have help. It's not about that, it's about while they are healthy together. Also you could say that about any duo in the league. Demar is a redundancy. You didn't need another isolation scorer that doesn't shoot 3s and can't defend.
