Another video that reminds me of my mother. She loved canning stuff, and I can remember jars and jars of various jellies, pickles, salsa, etc. all over the kitchen. She'd never do something like this because she didn't do spicy stuff, even a little spicy, but I LOVE spicy stuff. Great video!

Hello Talli Faye! My name is Brenda Fay & I live in Wichita KS. I am a new subscriber! I am really enjoying your channel! I love Jalepeno Jelly but can't eat it too hot. I'm a sissy that way! LOL I hate to start with giving you a tip, However, I am a subscriber to Homesteading With The Zimmeran's. Ruthann & Her Husband Elvin, were raised Old World Mennonite but left it about 20 years ago or so. Mennonite girls are not allowed to go to school past the 8th grade unless it's for being a DR. or something like that. Ruthan & Elving have raised their 7 Children in the way they were raised. But not the strick rules. Ruthann & her Children get up early every morning , even the 4 little ones that are as young as 7 years old. They milk 2 cows, feed cows, chickens, turkeys, Pigs, etc. Ruthann makes all kinds of cheese, Breads, is good at canning, etc. I learned from her that her Mother nor her Grandmother Never had the water above the neck of the jars when water bath canning. It's worked for them & Ruthann her whole life. She & Elving are in there late 40's. She said that her Mother & Grandmother Never let the water cover their jars when water bathing. And Never had a problem with it. That is how All Mennonite Women Can. So you might try that next time. I hope you will check out her channel. I'm sure that you will like her & be impressed with how hard she works & what a good job of raising her children she has done, and how Humble she is. Anyway, I look forward to watching all of your videos. I will have to benge watch them for a while. LOL But I will enjoy that. I wish you & your family the very best. Sincerely, Brenda

I love jalapenos but now with my health issues I can't eat them and I use to be able to eat them straight up and out of a jar. Now the hottest things I can eat is sweet banana peppers. Even too much black pepper hurts me. Every now and then I can get away with a small bite, just to remember how good they are. Thanks for this video and all the others. They bring back some old memories of when I was a child and I am 71 now.

My relatives come from Galveston Texas,
And once we got a jar of Jalapeno jelly.
    Looked just like yours,
    and was delicious.
But I'll cut your recipe down to a quarter
and make some just as soon as i find some low heat peppers.
But i'll be adding cooked, diced carrots and Onions and celery.
I like chunks in mine. Like my relatives make.
Thanks for showing me how to make it with Certo sure jell.

If you make tomato jelly, would you share that recipe with us. My sister’s mother-in-law made it and was delicious. Unfortunately, she knew the recipe by heart and no one can find any written form of it. So, I thought if you make it, it has to be excellent and many of your fans would love it. ❤

I guess I was a little 'skaid' cuz I thought I would need all of this expensive equipment, but in the back of my mind, I knew my mom and grandma's didn't put out that kind of money and I never heard of any of my people dying or getting sick from eating canned foods. 🤷🏾🤷🏾‍♀🤷🏾Thanks for keeping it simple (and non-intimidating LoL).

I'm the hot pepper person 😆 I've been the only one in my family to do the hot pepper challenge at the Pepper Palace in Gatlinburg. Everyone else in my family refused to do it. I've a story: Please wear gloves when working with peppers. Years ago, I was putting up hot peppers and did not wear gloves. My hands literally burned for 24 hours. Nothing helped. The more I prayed to my Lord the worse it got. I had to doze with my hands dipped in cold water. I wondered why God didn't help me. I finally figured out why, and that was to never do it again. And I haven't! Wear those gloves.
