    With the length regs in the UK this long cab can only be hooked to a short heavy trailer such as a Bulk Tipper trailer or a heavy liquid tank.
    Either of those or used in Heavy Haulage, which makes no difference anyway

    • @waldosworld1318
      @waldosworld1318 5 лет назад +7

      Not confused we have small bunk trks too. Are bunks start at 36in and go over 120in. 120in sleepers are basically a camper van on the back of the truck. Wheel base on a truck like that is over 300in. Our standard over the road truck is 70in sleepers and 236in wheelbase.

      @@johna6968 Come paired to my truck in the USA that cab is small. That a bed behind the seat. I have a curtain then two cabinets one on each side of the of the trk. I take 2 1/2 steps from drivers seat to my bed. USA doesn't have a cabover market anymore all our trks are big conventionals. Last cabover trks made for USA was a Freightliner Argosy 2006 but they did bring it back to North America market as a glider kit in 2014.

    • @waldosworld1318
      @waldosworld1318 5 лет назад +1

      All I was getting at is I wasn't confused. I'm a cabover lover I was thinking about time you guys got a bigger cab. But I also understand that your guys's laws are stricter than ours it's why you don't have any big conventional Amber streets are smaller.

      @@waldosworld1318 It is about time as you say we made drivers living areas more comfortable in the UK. Maybe when we eventually leave the EU it could become a reality. Im not holding my breath on either count.

      but 'murican trucks are outdated as hell, they still have drum brakes, seats are ucomfortable, no technology involved (or nowdays you joined to modern world who knows), european trucks are way more advanced in comfort and technology. But yea, cabs are smaller. Not to mention your idiot company attitude that they put a camera that records you 24/7 and sensor that tracks your head movement so you can't even look away lol madness

    @2:45. The last time a law like that was in force in Europe, we ended up with this:
    archive.commercialmotor.com/article/20th-october-1988/52/-the-amsterdam-show-earlier-this-year-saw-the-debu
    ...which needed another law, to prevent it!
    The only solution- if cab space is indeed a problem- is to relax the overall length limit by, say 500mm, and keep the trailer length limit the way it is.

    • @Ibsonlovesyou
      @Ibsonlovesyou 2 года назад +1

      This is my opinion exactly, it’s no good extending the overall length and giving the industry the choice where to spend the length, we all know where it’s going if it’s left to the bosses who don’t sleep in the cab to decide…

    XXL por donde , no veo el espacio q se requiere para un camion q recorre largas distancias , bueno segun las medidas q requiren en Europa esta bien pero en otros paises como latinoamérica , USA , Nueva Selanda etc , el cabesal no va pegado al remolque , mejoren el espacio construyendo la cabina mas hacia atras

  • @dougmitchell5435

    Circumstances dictate tactics. Virtually of all of Europe has far older cities and streets, and many of their highways likewise. Some are in essence developed over old Roman cart tracks and pretty much the same size. That has a real impact on what one can do with OAL, speed, etc. The U.S. generally has larger, more spread out areas, so a 75' OAL (or more) is not that big a deal. When I drove, it was mostly in the midwest and northeast; even there, the differences are quite a lot. The older cities of the east are much more cramped and my 72' OAL using a 48' trailer could be a royal pain to get around in some areas.
    I could not stand this tiny cab, though - what is considered large there is basically a low cost company truck piece of crap, here.

  • @hunzolee
    @hunzolee 5 лет назад

    Wondering what is the total cost of the truck. The Volvo VNL 860 run around $160-170,000 here in the US.

    Well listen Me, that for first I don't speak English very very well.
    So listen Me isn't important to have 25 cm of space more in the pank.
    Important it's that who build the truck understand that We driver don't need 2 full sit.
    I drive Mercedes Actors. We got the ""solo star concert""
    This is the future of truck drivel life.
