This is my project for tomorrow if it's raining. I'm also using a gasket, but I went with a FELPRO. Thanks for taking the time to film and share your experience.
Absolutely man, thanks for watching! I was about to buy a Felpro gasket, but decided to try this one instead. I'm sure both are fine as long as the mating surfaces aren't in bad shape. Let me know how it goes!
@@TrickShiftGarageI was on jack stands as level as I could eyeball it. I used the same method you did, mu hose kept popping off as I squeeze the bottles, so had to hold it on with one hand, still best method I found.

The Valvaleen squeeze bags are the move here. Flawless fill with those things.
Oh dude I had no idea those things existed. I'll keep that in mind the next time I do a diff fluid change!

Great video. Nice pace and description of what you are doing.
Thank you. 🙏
My 9.75 took every drop of 3 Qts, and could have taken a few more drops but was close enough to the opening. How is that gasket holding up for you?
Were you on level ground? These diffs really should only take about 2.75 quarts.
And the gasket is holding up well! No leaks.

Very interesting. Mine wouldn't take all 3 quarts. Either way, I'm glad you got it done man!
