@@oddballmedia The process I used in this video is of an electronically controlled throttle body (Fly- by-Wire). I have been doing it this way for years and I have not had an issue yet! Do this when the engine is Cold.
@@Caveman76. if you are using Throttle Body cleaner, this won't be an issue. As this is what it was developed for. I have been doing it for years and never had an issue. I normally let it evaporate or try and soak up the excess in the manifold before starting the engine
@@MarkKenworthy-d2d when you get the carbon build up in the throttle body over a long period of time, this will cause the flap to want to stick. With Fly-by-wire you really can't tell that this is happening other than slight delay/response on take off. On a cable set up you will definitely notice this as you will feel it in the accelerator peddle when it frees up. Hope this makes sense!
Thank you

Do you have a video with electrical throttle? I think it is a different way to clean, correct?

So the engine should be off
@@CharityMageza hello, yes engine off and only when engine is cold. Do NOT do this when the engine is hot.
