The Park is filled with drugs though you must know that. From constitution to winged foot all the way to three oaks in the back. Lots of raids over the years. And people have been murdered all over the Park. Just saying. You may not hear about it because they try to keep Park trouble on the DL because it's not all bad as you said but it is what it is. I lived there on constitution for years and years and I saw with my own eyes. But you have to be a street person to really be in it and see it up close or you have to at least be family with the long timers who grew up in the Park. No offense. Just saying a neighborhood can look okay but three doors down can be the exact opposite. It's not the worst hood in Lee county but it's definitely nowhere near the best either. Yup San Carlos park was the place to be back in the late 90s, Homes were decently priced and it was in a good location to get to work hitting 41. Id say if you cant afford some place like "pelican preserve" "old hickory" or some other gated place, be careful. There are still nice neighborhoods, but looks are decieving in Florida lol.

I grew up off of Michigan Avenue between seaboard in the cemetery. I went to school in Dunbar. I’ve lived in East Fort Myers, in Lehigh off of gunnery, and in North Fort Myers. And I’ve spent plenty of time in all of the other areas. Poor neighborhoods are never the good neighborhoods. Poverty sucks.
I lived in north fort Myers for 4 years and moved to alva till this year and we left and now live in Missouri. Much colder weather but I grew up in Illinois so it's no big deal.
This is shameful. Poor people barely managing to afford a home are not “bad” people, nor are their neighborhoods “bad”. And using the expression “hoods” just underscores what you’re really thinking. If you want to reframe this as an investment potential video, that might be a little less racist.

I literally grew up in that house the very first one at the very first scene of the video. There’s a park across the street from it. It is in the shores.
I grew up in lehigh acres in the late 80s to the mid 90s. Yeehaw acres. baby L.A.There was nothing there but old people. There were 9 kids my age. It was so safe there that there wasnt even a police station. There were big coummunities like a place called green briar. All the roads were there but no houses. Big ass subdivision of abandoned roads with grass growing through the roads. I live right of joel blvd 9th st and gerald ave. Its crazy to me not only has is it grown but its also crime riden. Pretty sad. Also oddly enough i remember a couple people from rock bands lived there. On richmond road. I thinks thats the name of the street. Vince neil from monty crue and someone from ac/dc.
See my recent uploads. I did an hour long drive around video lehigh acres. Lots of new houses and crime is rampant specially around the more empty parts. Greenbrier has alot of new houses now. Most kids start using at around 12
I feel like this video really showcases the class divide in Fort Myers. A large majority of the town is in awful shape. There are places like whiskey creek and mcgregor or just across the water Cape coral that just scream “unattainable” to people like me who work really hard but came after the massive price hikes.
Lmao the fact you started with SCP where I grew up fucked me up for a second there 😂. But yeah, alot of shit has gone down through there. Have many stories to share just from people I know and grew up with.

North Fort Myers is about the same kinda poor white and calmer. But san carlos its insane an empty lot is $100,000
Can't disagree at all. One thing that is notable is how over the years Dumbar has improved while Lehigh has declined. Could that be due to many that left Dunbar relocated to Lehigh? I moved to SWFL in '73 and the change throughout to whole region is amazing. Side note: If you ever rare to come into N Ft Myers again and hit up Hogbodys look me up. 🍻

@Zak @Living in Ft Myers Greetings from Taxachusetts! We moved to ft misery (I thought I was the only one who said that)😆 back in '73 too, I absolutely HATED it. Myerlee... no other kids there, rules & more rules, fake grass, ugh. My brother and I (13/14) had to stay at Fountain Court for 6 mo's waiting for the condo to finish. I went back to Boston as fast as I could, only coming back for a very short stint at new college (Sarasota) which was marginally better. Too many rules -- go to the beach and read signs with 20 things you can't do (like have fun) I'll take Cape Cod anytime over the beaches there, lined with high rises, but my parents stayed around myerlee 40+ yrs till they both passed recently and called it their "Paradise"! I hated going to visit but wish they were still around so I could see them 😕 I also thought segregated areas like "Harlem heights" even sounded racist, it's too bad it's gotten worse since 1973! I've lived in San Carlos Park since 1992. It has DEFINITELY gone downhill. I want out so bad but, it's too expensive to move anywhere for the same or less than I pay to live here.
You wont find crap dont.
I lived in San Carlos back in the late 80's early 90's and it was great ... Retires and new families ...Things change and not usually for the better
even the early 2000s you could move there. now its got a few good sections still but the rentals and students have run down many parts
I lived on Wren back in the eary to mid 80's. It was a dirt road and I had no neighbors. Went by there last year and wow. Packed and not a place I would want to live now.
I was born and raised in Ft. Myers and it wasn’t like this at all. When I go home to visit it breaks my heart. I lived in East Ft. Myers and always felt safe.
Wild now
It was straight before the Spanish people took over.
I lived in East Ft Myers all my life. When I go home it makes me very sad to see what has happened to my old neighborhood. I always felt very safe.
The hurricane flooded to I-75 😳 good luck Ft Myers 😢🙏
Wooowww!!!! I had doubts at first but this is 💯 percent accurate…. 👍👍👍
Lived in Sw Florida since 1986 and you are spot on with this list.
A-plus in commentary bro! 💯💯
That apartment complex at minute 5 is a hell of party at night going on there
From and currently living in Fort Myers. SPOT ON! Maybe Crime Manor could be higher on the list but other than that this is 100% accurate.
I was a little surprised Crime Manor wasn't higher too 🤣
Man please !!!! I moved down here from Detroit...
Fort Myers doesn't know what a hood is, so stop making it sound like it's bad.
And you forgot the most important part . What is making these places turn into shit....
I been to Detroit and its got great suburbs my wife is from there. After living 20
Years down here i dont know whats making it bad since its improved alot
Yup San Carlos park was the place to be back in the late 90s, Homes were decently priced and it was in a good location to get to work hitting 41. Id say if you cant afford some place like "pelican preserve" "old hickory" or some other gated place, be careful. There are still nice neighborhoods, but looks are decieving in Florida lol.
THE WOODED AREAS AROUND THE ENTIRE CITY IS FULL OF HOMELESS MIGHT BE ANOTHER GREAT STORY IF YOU GOT THE BALLS TO GO LOOK INSIDE
north fort myers in the woods i have gone in there but no camera on. scary crap. we were looking at a condo and in the woods there were homeless right there.. we passed
Thanks for all the good advice!
I am 55 years old I was born and raised in Fort Myers I don't care what anyone says your video is 100% accurate I know every location that you hit on I used to deliver auto parts when I was young and had to drive through many of those places and I can tell you I was terrified most the time and that was 30 years ago the 35 years ago and they've only gotten worse not better. So stand behind your video 100% I love that
Thanks! 🌴🌴🌴🌴
Hell yes. SUNCOAST finally got a number one spot somewhere...as a 30 year resident of the COAST ...I'm honored to say "I LIVE THERE"..lol
Thank you...From VA looking for a house and decided to go check out Fort Myers area and good thing i saw this Video..your commentary had me crackin up as well.
😅
You got a subscriber! I go to the VA over in Cape Coral. Been living in Florida for the last 30 years.
As someone who was a Ft Myers area party boy for decades I can confirm, I bought drugs in every one of these neighborhoods.
🤣😂🤣
I am from SW Florida so i have lived in a lot of these area's Palm Beach and NFM never had a problem but i also don't go around looking for a problem.
Now I'm currently living in Cape Coral:)
I went to school near there called success academy off of Michigan I think it was
Man, Fort Misery has always had issues. If someone asked me about living in Fort Myers, I'd say just don't
its getting better tho
Depends on where you stayed
It's a lot better than Miami
I lived in north fort Myers for 4 years and moved to alva till this year and we left and now live in Missouri. Much colder weather but I grew up in Illinois so it's no big deal.
How you like alva? I near there now.
This is shameful. Poor people barely managing to afford a home are not “bad” people, nor are their neighborhoods “bad”. And using the expression “hoods” just underscores what you’re really thinking. If you want to reframe this as an investment potential video, that might be a little less racist.
I grew up in Fort Myers but have been gone for many years. I don't even recognize most of these places except for Dunbar. Sad.
Thanks for your insight!
Commentary is HILARIOUS 🤣😂 "It looks like West Virginia and Alabama had an inbred baby and left it here to it's own devices" 😂🤣💀
we try
Good job on your video sir lots of good information ,everyone on here have a nice life and try to be nice to our fellow human beings and animals ,God Bless all who see this comment.
💯🌴
I think that these neighborhoods stand out because the rest of Fort Myers is so nice…
I won’t complain
@ 11:35 the white van never stops and it looked as if he was going to get pulled over. It also looked like the sheriff was going to run the stop sign.
it was my turn to go not the cops!
That’s FMPD for ya
Lehigh Acres is the ugliest most desperate looking place I've ever seen.
And imagine a 1 hour or more commute to work 6 days a week
Thank goodness your not there. Hmm.
@@toniesedrick691 no shit
It’s miami
san carlos resident: they have a really good taco truck behind the gas station next to the circle k at the corner of sanibel and s. tamiami-- and theres also a good hotdog/ice cream place right across from that 🤞
This is all True , Born and raised in this area, HE IS SPOT ON!
What are the good areas for families and great schools?
i had to come here after my friend told me he had to do work on a 6 million dollar house thats on the market near the lee memorial hospital.
I live in Tice also known East Ft. Myers, you were so close to my house lol! and you described it %1000! Just sub'd to your channel, found it by accident but glad I did!
I am in tice daily. live nearby. love all the food trucks and relaxed vibes the city of palms
Palm Beach Blvd has some of the best Latin Food restaurant's !!! You nailed it on your list I remember when Daniel's Road was still dirt before i-75 even came to Southwest Florida
Thats awesome
Mucho Taco off Palm Beach Blvd is the best
WHat camera do you use, pretty smooth
How is Edison Mall area? How badly was the indoor shopping mall damaged from the storm?
Have not been thru there but traffic in that area has been unreal
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS What about the Thomas Edison Ford Estates Winter Home Museum?
The mall is still up & running that whole area over by the mall has been built up
I literally grew up in that house the very first one at the very first scene of the video. There’s a park across the street from it. It is in the shores.
239 born and raised right off sunshine this man ain’t wrong
Good video. Now, how about doing the 10 best hoods for regular people....safety, etc.
The City Of Palms 🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴
spot on 🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴 👍
I used to work at the Edison Mall; not a nice area either!
Facts
I feel like this video really showcases the class divide in Fort Myers. A large majority of the town is in awful shape. There are places like whiskey creek and mcgregor or just across the water Cape coral that just scream “unattainable” to people like me who work really hard but came after the massive price hikes.
Lmao the fact you started with SCP where I grew up fucked me up for a second there 😂. But yeah, alot of shit has gone down through there. Have many stories to share just from people I know and grew up with.
its bad now, changed for the worst. does have good sections tho
whats san carlos like now? thinkin of comin back sick of georgia and had 3o. Yrs of bs in tennessee
@@jayproudlove178 its lots of student rentals. Starbucks, traffic is unbearable going towards naples or fort myers its three lanes each way. You might like buckingham its probably like what san carlos was back than. Its jammed between naples and fort Myers two fast growing places. Definitely “urban” now. North Fort Myers is about the same kinda poor white and calmer. But san carlos its insane an empty lot is $100,000
@@jayproudlove178 fancy and lots of shopping
@@jayproudlove178 check out Sebastian or port st joe before buying in san carlos. Thats kinda what san carlos was like back than.
I asure you we will go there!!! Sadly were still recovering from covid so we gotta wait. I have herd great things about this place expect me there as soon as were back to normal!
PS: Today is 81 -- 2 days ago 36 (at night) -- I still prefer it to the heatstroke weather down there! Be well 🙂 👋👋
Section 8 housing was relocated from Ft. Myers to Lehigh.
@@Tom-zs6bbyep. Areas like Dunbar are gentrifying, but those old renters didn’t just disappear. So they likely went to Lehigh Acres, with some going to North Fort Myers.
@@hornetguy9063 Did my last year at the S/O in Lehigh. I felt like I was back home.
From FM and this is not only SPOT ON but 😂also 💯
East Fort Myers also used to be the worst when the Michigan Links projects were still up.
I recommend having your 2A if you buy a home in these areas.
I live in North fort Myers it’s not that bad but #1 suncoast is in north fort Myers and it’s really bad forsure this video actually pointed out every hood in the area I’m 30 and have lived in Lee county my whole life
North Fort Myers was way worst i remember the first time we went up there for a field trip to the water park it was very hood and it was a bus full of rich kids from Naples 😂😂😂😂 best place to grab a quick bite?
I moved here from cape coral because we wanted to buy our first house like 5 years ago and everything was so expensive in cape so we decided to move to north fort Myers we looked at houses in Lehigh and tice that were in our price range but we found a nice house off bay shore and 41 with 1 acre and besides homeless people at every store it’s ok lol we like to eat at hooks in fort Myers but we love cowboy crab the place you pulled into in the video lol
@@colbyscrivner9676 EL CARIBE CUBAN ON PALM BEACH IS GOOD. DONA JUANA guatemalan is good to but they aint cheap.

Ppl from fort myer hoods move to Lehigh because they knock down the buildings
lehigh look quiet but people dont know
There's no way that you're from fort Myers because you're missing at least five well-known dangerous gang written neighborhoods that you didn't even mention Harlem heights Harlem lake brookhill the bottom habitat PC.... A person really from fort Myers understands exactly what I'm saying
exactly! How does this man not know about harlem heights, straight trap houses and goons everywhere.
He not from ft Myers bruh
Why are there videos of the villas at the beginning but it’s not included?
san carlos is always home and will be no matter what.im homesick wow i dont recognize it i lived on Jonas rd from 74-1990
Come home, grab a fishing pole and a beach chair
Do you have the best places to live in fort myers
11:24 my phone died there right under that sign
I lived in Fort Myers been all over nothing going on there .
The best thing to do when you get here is look for a way out.
Smh, you did us wrong. We are not that bad. Just like any other city in America!! You painted a bad picture of us.
Were helping people move here... by the thousands.. your really missing alot. you gotta expand your thinking the people watching this are moving here. you gotta expand your views my man.
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS lol it’s only one to view this lol. Just look at some of the things you were saying 🤷🏾♂️
I bought a g of tree from my homie. homie told me to pull up and talk to the lady outside the gas station… Lady was selling bootleg cvds and dime bags mid day.
Home. Well not home anymore but I grew up all over there.
When I was young I lived in the places North fort Myers in the 70s 80s and it was cool as hell it takes others that f*** it up for everybody and you know who I'm talking about.
Fort Myers born and raised. Pretty spot on but I'd be much more afraid to walk down the street at night on palm beach than Suncoast.
I live in San Carlos Park now I've been here 15 yrs, Yep Crime Manor is HORRIBLE n Harlem Heights isn't too good, Palm Beach Blvd ur right is the HOOOOOOD...... Lol...... I moved to North Ft Myers but Sam Carlos Park drew me bck, I'm comfortable here it is what u make it like anywhere else...... OMG Sun Coast is no joke, the word on Sun Coast is its the Largest Trailer Park in USA, Idk u can look it up, SCP isn't bad at all anymore, they have cleaned it up alot the past couple yrs, DO NOT EAT AT THE MCDONALD'S IN SAN CARLOS PARK......
Harlem heights has cleaned up alot!!
We're unfamiliar with the area and were wondering if we should be concerned with the area near the Jamaica Bay neighborhood off of Rt. 41 near Mercedes Benz of Ft. Myers?
No its safe. Around pine manor its the bad part of us41
Mostly good. Trailer parks near river flood
Spent alot of time in some of those areas. Hung out alot in Suncoast as a teen.
I live in tice and may I just say, I was not surprised to see it on this list
i still like TICE. good people but poor area. you will see me around for sure. we go on palm beach for latin food ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Me in San Carlos living on a cul-de-sac where cops are continually there because a neighbor of mine has squatters in tents in the backyard and they all are hardcore drug-users lmao 🥴🥴🥴
😀😃😅😅😅😅😅 there are good parts in SCP thats just not it!!
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS surprisingly, I do like my street, there’s a lot of families and lots of renovated homes but these neighbors are a massive outlier. And I do think SCP is a solid neighborhood, just inflation is hitting all of it hella hard so most rentals are too expensive for the house quality
Suncoast made it to no. 1 with something!
tice area got way better than a couple years ago
I live in Lehigh Acres 😂😂😂 it's getting real bad around here.
depends on what section you live. some sections are quiet. my section is awesome but i can hear gunshots from the east section of me and music till 2 am as well. were lucky we got a quiet corner cuz i ride my ATV and some parts are scary as crap
You don't understand real estate if you don't understand why lots are so expensive in San Carlos
Do another drive through and look at all the new commercial construction. San Carlos will be squeezed into higher values
Many brand new constructions. The old dumps will be torn down over the next few years
Amazon, Home Depot, huge apartments all going in on Alico
It's an investor's paradise
My duplex increased by 50% in value in 2 years
Great video… tell ya wife it’s Mr. Pugh from Dunbar High
Alright! 😅
Is the area where the New Lennar Neighborhood Portico a good safe area? Know a friend that is looking there.
its VERY SAFE. I live near there. the school RIVERDALE is bad tho.. look at the news.. all type of bad crap. the gas stations are bad at night, but.. its gated and safe INSIDE of portico. i wish i could live there. its okay, not far from bad areas like Palm Beach west of 75.. but i go there all the time. NEW PUBLIX, thats a plus. I live out here 1 year and NO ISSUES at all. if i could live INSIDE of portico.. thats good. its very diverse too, a rare find for gated communities. GO FOR IT. be careful with the high school tho.. its not the best
Omg this video is hilarious don’t put your kids there unless you hate them 🤣
