Living in Florida, you’re paying for the location, the warm weather and the ocean (paradise, obviously only pertains in some areas after watching this video), explains why housing is high. I think one big reason the gangs are so prevalent in FL is the fact that in the late 70's early 80's, FL was the main route of most of the drugs, or at least the coke that came up from South America. My cousin, who lived in Bartow, says the Polk County was the first stopping point for smugglers driving north, namely, Lake Wales. Back in the 80's there was a lot of meth too, according to him, especially in Alturas, just east of Bartow.
I stayed in Bradenton when I was a troubled teen with my Grandparents. It was literally like an episode of cops where one side of the tracks was beautiful and safe and the other a ugly ghetto

Have visited Ft. Lauderdale many times since the 1970’s and up until recently. I’ve never understood it’s appeal. Aside from being a major flood zone it has always just looked kinda’ dumpy!
The area around US 1 & east is some of the richest on Earth, that's the appeal of Fort Lauderdale. It's one of a few destinations on Earth for the mega yachts, bringing in millions of $ in support. If you want to buy a new Lambo, McLaren, Ferrari, Bentley new or used the dealers are all on US 1 close together. Aside from that area,Ft Lauderdale is a dump few want to even drive thru. It's sketchy & lawless thruout west of & around 95.

One thing is absolutely true...cross a bridge or a street and it's amazing what you see! Maranatha 🙏
Miami Garden for those of us that live here is Carol City. The name was changed to get people to move in. By changing the name the crime rate started from zero.
Hialeah, Hialeah Gardens not surprised you didn't mentioned these 2 mostly Cuban American cities they've had gang problems since 1990s and just as bad as anywhere in South Florida!
For a hundred years Florida has been traditionally been the state to retire in your later years after working. It has never been a place for young people to educate and work. The younger generations of Florida need to find a place where they can learn and work through their earning years and hopefully come back someday.
Thank you SO much for this video! I’m a senior that was considering moving to the W. Palm/Lake Worth area because my church is there. After seeing this, nope!
You make it sound like these places are decaying and just falling apart. Crime is a part of society. You have pockets of places you stay out of. I worked in Lauderhill for 10 years and never had a problem. Never felt unsafe. I have friends that live in Lauderhill and Fort Lauderdale and most people just want to go home and be with their families.
heck when we first moved to lakeland there was 150 known gang memembers when moved from there in 2008 there was around 580 probly double now. the number one thing supporting the influx is the missions there they pay for bus fair from all over the country for felons to lakeland
Jose you are right about Miami Gardens it looks no different than Kendall. No trash, rundown buildings or vacant properties. Which can mislead a lot of people. But I hear a lot of Hispanics are now moving into Miami Gardens.
The reason why Miami Gardens is thriving is because of Hardrock Stadium. With six Super bowls, two World Series, the Miami Tennis Open Tournament, and other special events being held there. Miami Gardens is economically doing good.
I can see in the next fifteen to twenty years Miami Gardens going to be the next Hialeah because Hispanic are buying majority of the homes the average home in Miami Gardens is over four hundred fifty thousand.
I drove through Miami Gardens the other day, and it looked very new and commercial, so I'm curious about what about the residential areas, but I've been told that the areas with the mangrove forest stinks, because of the stagnant water. That's obviously not good because breeds mosquitoes. I passed those on my way back from the Miami Gardens area. However, I've been told and shown, spent time with, that Miami is increasing in more types of Hispanic countries in middle class families, and that's good. Also constantly meet exactly that through Uber drivers. Very clean cut and well spoken.
Why I am not surprised that Fort Lauderdale is number 1. I am from this city and Fort Lauderdale has been ratchet for decades now. And also around the Sistrunk area they are already started the gentrification projects. Across the train tracks the wealthy and on the other side the poor Armand working class. Good call 👍🏾
I remember when Sistrunk was really bad, it’s not how it used to be like you said with the gentrification, I used to live on 15th ave and 6th street back 06-09 it was pretty rough then

@jeremiah4k927 hi, I just arrived home from playing pickleball, with friends, and honestly, I feel completely safe...I just moved here 2 yrs ago and it has been amazing. I have never been to the areas you mentioned or need to. I am almost semi- retired and live a very simple and honest life. So far my experience in West Palm Beach has been amazing. Praise God. Thanks Jeremiah for explaining your point. Have a blessed night.
Thanks for the information.
Oh please. This information isn't worth the read
Moved down here from NYC..living right off Pompano Beach.. I feel safe and loving my new environment.. I truly have a different outlook than what you’re describing.. Right now at my age I would be a sure target for the criminals in NYC.. Especially with their revolving judicial system… Thank you for your outlook.. ..It’s all about making it work for you!
I lived in FLORI-DAH for the past 71 years and seen it grow, As I grew up in South Miami and Lauderdale from the 50's to 70's , it was nice back then . Every city has its problems , even the smaller towns , there is always the Hood area .
Thank you. Thank God I feel safe where I live north of Orlando.
From NY, lived in cal , Chicago. Florida isn't anywhere NEAR in gangs . These are baby gangs out here. The only reason people here think its bad is cause yall dont know better
We don't worry about it. I've been here my whole life. Mafia way worse.
It would be nice if you did a video on the top 10 best cities to live in with the best schools for a family.
Hernando county
As someone who lives in Jacksonville, you're spot on. But with that said, you just have to know what areas to avoid, like what Jose said. If you don't go to the bad parts of town, then you can be relevantly safe in Jacksonville. I've lived in Jacksonville for most of life and never been a victim of crime, except for when my parent's VCR and my Sega Genesis got stolen back in the 90s.
with the work i do, i end up in bad areas too often
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS true, but I do like the fact that you get the good and parts of an area and you don't give a sugarcoated opinion of a place.
I work Jax a few months a year. Stay east of the St Johns river & downtown & you avoid 90% of problems. Jax beach, Atlantic Beach, ponte vedra are all a world away from the west side of Jax, but only a few minutes drive away.
@@wayneanderson8034 as someone who lives in Jacksonville year round, you're spot on
@@wayneanderson8034 I generally agree, but Jax beach is less safe than the other beaches. There are pockets of higher crime areas in Arlington and south side too…
Extremely discouraging accurately true facts. I am in St Johns county where I dont see the gang crime. But I know that its around. Governor Desantis is aware that these gangs are effecting the quality of life in Florida. Going forward, he will need to address the drug infested, poverty that is increasing in the state.
Very informative. Thank you.
I would argue that Jacksonville is more dangerous than Miami
Miami still more dangerous more drug dealing
Great job on your information and report, God Bless Your Great Success 😇❤️🌹. Absolutely Amen 🙏
I love the Tampa Bay area of Florida, especially Pinellas County. Nice beaches, parks, and entertainment.
The problem is poverty. Florida is over priced and over valued. It truly sucks.
Cheaper than other states

Living in Florida, you’re paying for the location, the warm weather and the ocean (paradise, obviously only pertains in some areas after watching this video), explains why housing is high.
The midwest housing prices are ridiculous. They are trying to keep up with CA and Florida and it shouldn’t be like that.
😊Thank you for this valuable information. I must say you have done a great job dealing with the sensitivity of the area.
Excellent report. Thank you!
I live in Palm Beach County and we have two cities on this list. He’s on point!
NO ONE in politics talking about how to solve this problem. Except one person and they want to lock him up instead. We're f*ked.
Most dominant i believe here in Fla are Zoes, LK, Bloods and GD. But you got to consider the mexican cartels are here as well.
Naw not GD FL is LDN aka MLDz.

Real good stuff. This is where you shine. There could have been more detail, but that would for sure get you taken down. RUclips is a business, and advertisers do not want to be associated with gangs.
I also don’t want gangs bothering me so.. details are limited 😊
You Did A Great Job On Exposing This👍👍‼️‼️‼️
Thanks for great video and information ❤
Thank you for the video and exposing the ignorance of the state at the highest level. People are just sleeping and disconnected from the light of us.
Arcadia?? Fort pierce is way worse than that, it should have been at least number 10
When he said Arcadia I had to look at the title again 😂😂😂 ain’t nothing out there but livestock and money.

I live in Manatee county, right next to Bradenton. I def agree it has the worst homeless problem. Driving around Bradenton and seeing all the homeless with signs or sleeping out in the open, it’s really sad. I keep wishing someone could come up with housing or communities where they’d have a place to call home. Even if it’s tiny. They have possessions they have to travel with each day to keep from losing the little they’ve accumulated 😢
Drugs and addiction its sad life

Thank you for posting this video. I haven't been to South Florida for years. A lot has changed. 😮

Hey brother. 1'st time watching
Been in Florida 45yrs! I'm ready to say good bye to this state
Aint much left
Born and raised in Ft. Lauderale for 35 years, I've never seen any gang related activity here or have I ever seen it hit the news. As far as South Florida goes, I would definitely stay away from Miami. People die in Miami everyday due to street violence
Thanks for the info.Great to know what’s going on.👍
I lived in Lakeland for 18 years there is one area that has a problem but it's not bad.

I’m from the south Bronx and moved to Lakeland and it’s Paradise compared to NYC, definitely doesn’t belong on this list
i was JUST in lakeland tonight, literally jsut got back. clearly there are gangs, drive around at 2 AM around wabash and see. Polk County homicide rate is 3X higher than NYC if you didnt know. incomes are 1/5... keep thinking its sweet

Stand Your Ground… I will never go back.. I lived there for over 50yrs.. There’s no law and order compare to Florida..
Miami used to have a really bad street gang problem in the 80s and 90s. Even in the early and mid 00s we had gang problems in the public school system in Dade and it got to a point where the inner city schools had to implement uniforms because of the gang colors. I don't know if it still does. A lot of urban Miami has been driven out the last 25 years.
Its al moved a little north now
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGSYup. Broward county has absorbed a lot of Miami's criminal element the last 3 decades or so.
South Florida in general has more neighborhood based drug or fraud crews than gangs. It’s just not our culture here

I from Memphis loved on through Broward they got they little pockets but coming from the M this shit more laid back
I think one big reason the gangs are so prevalent in FL is the fact that in the late 70's early 80's, FL was the main route of most of the drugs, or at least the coke that came up from South America. My cousin, who lived in Bartow, says the Polk County was the first stopping point for smugglers driving north, namely, Lake Wales. Back in the 80's there was a lot of meth too, according to him, especially in Alturas, just east of Bartow.
Good job!! Thanks for truthful informatiin!! Thank you for being brave.
I stayed in Bradenton when I was a troubled teen with my Grandparents.
It was literally like an episode of cops where one side of the tracks was beautiful and safe and the other a ugly ghetto

West Palm Beach I stayed there during one Spring Training.
Cross the wrong bridge and they are running down the street barefoot with AKs shooting.
Riviera beach is beautiful but dangerous
Well done video & info. Thx for putting it out. Not surprised by many of the cities u mentioned.
Well presented, And well stated. Thank you.
Raised in Carol City, florida, graduated from n. Miami. Have family in all areas, hollywood, davie, Ft. Lauderdale, weston, Hialeah, and i can go on. It pays to be vigilant and be smart about your comings and goings.....As inflation continues...so will the activity.

I'd love to hear your evaluation on this topic for the Florida panhandle cities.

Kissimmee Florida
Cocoa Florida
Fort Myers Florida

For a hundred years Florida has been traditionally been the state to retire in your later years after working. It has never been a place for young people to educate and work. The younger generations of Florida need to find a place where they can learn and work through their earning years and hopefully come back someday.

Florida stiil can't touch California ever.
I saw a gang in Bakersfield like 50 deep.. it was like wow.. no way this is real.
In terms of what?
WE WILL BE THE NEW CALIFORNIA IN LESS THAN 5 YEARS , YOU WILL SEE , WE ARE ALREADY FULL .
Correct
