  • Video: A late afternoon spotting trains at Stowmarket station situated on the Great Eastern Main Line, this spot features many passing and stopping Greater Anglia services to/from Norwich, Ipswich and London Liverpool Street, as well as a few freight moves and a light loco move of DRS 37402.
    Also seen at this station is the diesel/electric changeover for Class 755 FLIRTs heading to/from Cambridge and Peterborough.
    TRAINS INCLUDED:
    Greater Anglia Class 90 / Mk3 sets & Class 321s & Class 745 / 755 FLIRTs, Direct Rail Services Class 37 (BR Large Logo livery), Freightliner Class 66s.

    Class 745 are my favourite trains and the class 37s in my opinion

    Superb video. I miss the GA Class 90 sets. Glad you captured some of them in this video alongside the new FLIRT's that have replaced them.

      Thanks very much, I miss them too. But I do like the FLIRTs too, certainly one of my favourites of the new generation of trains.

    I do miss the Class 90 Mk3s a lot. As the Class 745s have replaced them. But I do like the Class 745.

    I've got 2 questions. Firstly why are some of the bi modal trains running on diesel when under the wires? And secondly, why is there 1 entrance per carriage of said trains?? That can't help with boarding and alighting times and flow???

      Because the line they run down to camebridge/Peterborough doesn't have any overhead wires
