That GTR guy is cool as hell. I love how you get some super rich guys in drag racing, but you’d never be able to tell if you didn’t see their car.

Terrence was driving but he works for T1 and yes he's a super nice dude, the owner never races the car himself. The car is just bonkers though, 3.22 100-200mph, which would be a pretty damn fast time even for 100-200kph.

@@faridshams458 Yes and still holds the record in the beginning of roll racing at Texas Invitational! 230mph all those years ago in his shop GTR on a dusty ass airstrip in 1500ft starting at 55mph. UGR was 10mph behind them and they are 10mph behind now lol

Terence over at T1 is one of the most stand up guys around. Just listening to him speak, makes you feel that there's nothing wrong happening in the world!

Listen, I love UGR - I love the TT huracans, and I’m terribly sorry a Huracan was lost… but I’m so glad to see UGR humbled by a GTR again, the memes were getting out of pocket, and the sensitivity over racing got a little too over the top.. Try 1996 even better tech has advanced SO much in the last 20yrs with Engine design with VVT variable valve timing, Fuel injection, ignition timing control, data recording, turbo and superchargers are a lot more efficient, fuels with E85 and E90 at the gas pumps now lots more HP can be made !!!

for all the people trying to say that gtr isnt king is referring to the ugr lambo that ran 259mph in a 1/2 which is 2640 feet, this track is only 1550 feet.

That black GTO is insane, running 90 pounds of boost and cleetus just upgraded to an SMX to run 70ish pounds.
He was running 70ish on the old motor not the new one hopefully he gets more out of it than that for sure its a possible 5000 hp engine !

I never heard of this rolling start type of racing. I curious how it is kept fair because I don't understand how the beginning of the race is judged. Can someone post a link to a website that explains how this rolling start works or is fair?
not an expert but i'm pretty sure its called a rolling race, they get up to a certain speed and when the light turns green wich is a little further you floor it and then its about time done and speed done who wins.
Roll race start @ TX2K: starting speed above 50mp/h BUT under 65mp/h. Left lane leads and right lane needs to keep up.
The race only starts if the light turns green, if not the start is repeated up to two more times. Both cars need to be as near as possible (max. 1/2car distance) to eachother and accepted speed, then the lights go green and the winner is who gets to the line first!
