A new chapter in Adam’s life. It’s been great to watch his channel grow. And knowing that there is still room for it to grow, I hope he stays the same guy.
I love how personable you are. Lot of other RUclipsrs come at it like it's a documentary. With you, you're a normal guy, who has the same interest and hobby I have. It is what makes your channel one of the best right now. I don't feel like I'm being lectured to. It feels like I'm getting information from someone who gets it. Thanks for the content man!
I would love to spend an entire day setting up tons of different enclosures. Thats the best part for me. It's like a form of art or expressing your imagination. It's peaceful and relaxing
This video could not have come at a more perfect time!!! THANK YOU!! I am moving in a month, not super far only a half hour car ride, but I have an internal list going of all the things I need to do to prep my reptiles to move and which should I do first and how am I going to transport their enclosures and its starting to stress me out. I don't have nearly as many reptiles as you do, only 8, but still enough that it's going to probably take me a full day to move them. This video is a HUGE help and your tips and advice are going to be my guide for when I eventually do move all of my reptiles!! 🙌🌅
So glad you did a video over this love your channel dude!! I’m about to move my babies to Houston :,) I did travel with my bearded dragon to Colorado one time She’s seen the mountains :,D
Impressed you got all that done in 10 hours. Had only 4 snakes I moved with me last year and it took me all day. I did move both the snakes and their set ups in one go, but took me almost as much time.
this is helpful, what i might do instead of cleaning them after the move, is to do a week or two before their so that they get their scent on the substrate, and leave it in for the move so it still smells like their home. my move is gonna be a full 2hrs away, and a change in altitude from just above sea level to 6700 ft, so I anticipate it will be a stressful trip for them, and hope that they'll feel much more. comfortable if they have a sense of familiarity with their surroundings. perhaps im anthropomorphizing them litlte but it couldn't hurt.
Great video! This is a topic no one talks about on RUclips, it’s always how to ship reptiles properly. I didn’t think of Tupperware when I moved, so I drove back and forth with people holding my animals in the car.
I love the way you talk about stuff. Though some I may have known before it’s good to have a refresher and others may not be aware of what to do, etc...
Talking about enrichment. I think your cali king might appreciate more substrate to dig in. Mine has a whole tunnel system in it's substrate and uses it very frequently. Right now he is in shed hiding in the tunnels because they have higher humidity. Nice videos tho!
I remember when I moved across 3 states. Was a 10-11 hour drive. Back then all I had was 2 leopard geckos. They were my co-pilots in the passenger seat. Can't wait for the reptil room reveal. But looks like it's gunna be awesome.
I have discussed the pros and cons of moving everything around in the enclosures every once in a while with several reptile keepers, mostly tortoise keepers. Most of them seem to think you should leave everything in the same spot. But I think it’s good to change it up a couple times a year. Good stimulation, just seems like a good idea to me.
i've viewed it as entirely individual reptile dependent, 'cause there are plenty enough cases where set locations for everything is very important(blind/easily stressed/etc.)
hey do you have any tips for moving my reptiles across country from Florida to Oregon? I am moving at the beginning of 2021 and we are driving, just need tips on how to safely get them through a 3+ day drive... thanks
I’m moving 12 hours away but only have 1 hognose snake. Is that gonna be an issue or something is 12 hours in the car gonna stress the snake out or something like that Idk
The same way you do with fish tanks you start with 3 or 4 smaller tanks for the first 2 hours then you do it with all larger tanks in a row. Then finish with anything simple.
I recently moved 50+ geckos, 4 fish tanks, and some eggs - it was no small task 😬 there were probably 10 glass bioactive vivs that were suuuuper heavy haha.
oh man, i’m currently on a move from NY to Cali with 20 snakes, 4 dragons, 16 eggs, 3 mice, 2 tarantulas, a frog, a ferret, and a dog. i feel the struggle 😂😭
Lucky for me I only have one crested gecko but he needs a really needs to stay at a consistent temperature so I don’t know what to do if I do end up moving to keep him at a consistent temperature.
It anyway looks so great! I can't wait to grow my group of reptiles! I currently only have a bearded dragon but I have owned a snake in the past. I hope to have many different reptiles in my future! I am looking into a hognose or kenyan sand boa next. I also really hope to find banded lizards soon!
How do you suggest someone who is terrified of snakes to over come that? My brothers put them down my back when I was younger and now I have a fear so horrible that I have nightmare when I see them, it’s as if it is happening all over again.
im looking into moving states in a few years. prob going to buy truck tie downs and strap mine to the backseat of the suv. idk how I'm moving bioactive filled tanks tho.
* chants * Spadefoot toads, spadefoot toads, SPADEFOOT TOADS. I'm going to comment on every video about how excited I am for more spadefoot toad videos until you make a spadefoot toad video. ...And then I'm going to comment every video there after about how there's still not enough spadefoot toad videos. :D
My albino blood python and I have been binge watching all your vids and love them! But where’s the blood love? Poor Vlad feels very left out of all these lists
For real moving with animals 😣... Takes so long. It's like a whole other move lol. Especially when you include rodent colonies.. Good vid bro. Best of luck with the new place!
Can you make a video about getting the tank like that and how to set up for snakes and lizards? Yah know like heat pad lights. Cause I want to get something like that set up
The take away here is use quality enclosures! If you have to move those won't fall apart, will be far easier to set back up, and your pets will be stressed to the minimum level. Moving is a stressful pain in the ass for people and we know this and cope. It's not fair to make it the same for your pets, reptile, mammal, avian, etc.
I like that you "over" explain because some people might need you to in order to feel comfortable in doing it
agreed
It’s actually people these days have 0 common sense!

thanks for the kind words, now matter how much bigger the reptile room gets, I'll still be a dummy with a camera in a basement

Damn it Peter. Every time with this shit!
Dammit Peter, kmon buddy. 💩😉
Just watching that video gave me anxiety 🤣. Now I know what I am in store for when the time comes to move.
So much work in moving animals! The room looks like it will be amazing when all set up - can't wait to see it!
Impressed you got all that done in 10 hours. Had only 4 snakes I moved with me last year and it took me all day. I did move both the snakes and their set ups in one go, but took me almost as much time.
Yah every time i do a whole enclosure cleaning i put everything back different. Its cool to watch them explore and discover all the hides =3
I like watching enclosures getting set up. :) maybe an Idea for future video , fire evacuation plan.
Thanks for the idea! I do have a few setup videos already, check it out :)

I think it may be that you can't sell or purchase them in Cali.
i really want one, they r so cool
good luck, seems... stressful

thanks dude

I kinda want to move to the east coast to the west coast...I feel like it would be so hard to move the snakies though.

no doubt!
Looking good, moving in general is a lot of work, add in a bunch of live animals and it’s even more work lol. Hope you get a good nights rest haha.
Man that must have been a haul! You take such fantastic care of your scaley kids!

When i moved i had 1000 plastic tubs on the back of my pickup truck, people were just staring at us everywhere XD

Hi, could someone tell me what the snake is at ~ 7:50? It is beautiful.
King snake
that's Big Lou the king snake
What about eggs? Is it the same?
no, never move eggs from the incubator
I am moving and then I am getting my leopard gecko (second reptile probably the only one my mom will let me have)
very cool
My first reptile was an aligator snapping turtle
What's your day job?

Yea early again!! Hi
nice!
People keep them in tubs usually:
😈
sometimes
I think its abusive to keep animals in tubs with no water. I think its fine keeping them in tubs but they need water
Canadian pro tip: Avoid moving with reptiles in February at all costs
Why?
no doubt, as brutal as this was, at least it wasn't in the dead of winter
I can’t stand the smell of repti bark
To be fair, I took a huge dump when you mentioned the move. I hate my new avatar but my wife likes it better 😒
huge dumps are relaxing
Jeez, it's just poop. Throw away the travel bag, wash the reptile. If you can't handle poop, don't have kids or pets.
Jeez, it’s just a video. No ones forcing you to watch it. If you can’t handle jokes don’t watch RUclips.
the point is it's an animal in a tub, if it poops and is in there for a while that's pretty brutal for the animal...
