Thank you thank you thank you! I could not understand why the plain white htv just wasn't working for me, none of the other videos I watched said anything about putting the clear on the white! I started htv before subbing so I have tons of cotton shirts I want to use!
Thank you for this! I went through at least 6/7 videos trying to figure out clear vinyl sublimation and your video was the only one that was thorough, you explained every step and what to do and what not to do. I definitely subscribed and liked!
THANK YOU!!! I have an Epson printer which won't feed the Uni-Sub paper for sublimating on dark cottons, so i needed to figure out another way. THANK YOU!!!!
Wow!! This will be a game changer! I have been looking for this for a while, you are so generous on giving out information! Bless you! Thank you so much ! I subscribed!
Thank you for sharing! I have been trying everything, and I mean everything! All fails for me. I am going to try this method next. Fingers crossed that this will work for me. :)
Hello from Australia. I first saw you from Kim's channel. I am happy to be here learning from you and your channel. Thanks for sharing. Yes very vibrant. I am new to sublimation but this method is so cool, I will try it.
Amazing Ben trying to find a way to sublimate just in dark clothes period but you knocked out 2 birds 1 stone not just dark but cotton too and will cost less than buying special htv for this definitely going to be trying this method thank you so much
Thank you for the awesome tutorial. I now understand how to use the clear vinyl on dark T-shirts. It needs to have the white vinyl then the clear vinyl and then the sublimation. My question is. will any clear/transparentr hav work? Thanks again
Thank you for the compliments, I don’t think we need any special washing instructions that are different from HTV care instructions. They do just well in cold and warm wash.
I looked at so many videos on this and you explained it very well. Thank you so much. You did it better than everyone else. I just subscribe to your channel. Thank you 🙂
I sell tshirts, I'm very "out the box" and I'va watched aaaat least minimum 350videos on the subject. I've gained experience, and you're the only one who is concise, who actually made the difference clear between onto and into.💯👌🫂🤜
Thanks for this video. Very helpful, I'm wondering why the clear vinyl is needed 🤔 can the sublimation not be done with just white vinyl? And why not? Thank you x
Hi! So just use plain white and clear htv? And you can get this from Amazon? Or do you have it linked what you used I’m not sure if I’m seeing it lol..
This is a really cool technique but I noticed on dark fabrics you used the white vynl. That is like our underbase white ink in screen printing. But when we screen printing we actually squeegee the ink through the mesh in our screens which can be halftones that give us those beautiful gradients. I’m guessing because you cannot Cricut halftones with very fine details that this is a limitation of sublimation altogether. I noticed that you cut your design because it was an easy shape to cut but if it was a half ton of thousands a little dots to give you that beautiful gradient you would not be able to cut that kind of fine detail. And so the white vinyl would show up everywhere and you would not see the fabric around the intricate design details. Is there a way to produce very detailed artwork in sublimation or is this just a simple limitation of sublimation?
Like every printing method sublimation has its own limitations, to get the best out of sublimation it is better on 100%polyester. To apply details we can cut the clear vinyl with a cutting machine but I would not trust the results. Some designs are better where screen printed or with the use of DTG( direct to garment).
I’ve watched so many videos this video is great but I’m having trouble with the paper sticking to the clear htv ,do you ever have this problem. Thanks Leah
This method is just another way of printing images with colours, both of them will have the heavy feel on the shirt as they are both HTV. Whichever is easier for you to use will be good but sublimation has been known to last longer than most method of printing
Hi could you please tell me the product and name of the clear htv from MDP you use as the link takes you to Cool Flex which does not have a clear on it. Many thanks.
@@thebademartdesigns thanks for reply. My daughter used to work for MDP and we live a mile from their warehouse ..lol. They have not got the clear on the site and I went in yesterday and got the Auora one to try, gives a great foil/metalic effect with the sublimation on you should try it. Will call in again with that number see if they have it thanks.

Great. But I think it would be expensive especially for 3 layers.

I’m glad the video is helpful
Thank you, have a ton of clear and white vynle definitely going to try
Thank you 😊
I think it worth mentioning, that it should be HTV and not just regular vinyl!🤦♀️
Thanks for the clearification but from the topic of the video it mentioned HTV, so I guess that’s clear enough.
What is the resistance to washing with this technique?
Mine has held up and still really bright no fading
@@thebademartdesigns thank you, I live in USA, any clear vinyl can be sublimated? I don’t know where tu buy it 🤷🏻♀️
Check wherever you get your HTV. I can’t find an Amazon link for now
Thanks so much for your video. I have tried this and have trouble with my sublimation paper sticking to clear htv. Any suggestions?
Light to medium pressure should take care of the paper sticking. If you press too hard the paper adheres. Try light pressure and see☺️
Great job , I can’t wait to try it out 👍🏾
Glad you found video helpful 😊
Dope video👌👌👌👌 très cool, beaucoup d'info⚜️🤜word up

Thanks for this video. Very helpful, I'm wondering why the clear vinyl is needed 🤔 can the sublimation not be done with just white vinyl? And why not? Thank you x
Thanks for watching the video, it can be done in white vinyl but it will come out Matt and dull, the clear vinyl is to make the design vibrant
@@thebademartdesigns It might be easier to just use laser ink for non polyester. Saves vinyl and time layering. Or is the disadvantage to this?
You cannot sublimate on white HTV, it is not polyester based! The clear HTV is poly based.
@@mzchoize ahhh makes sense. Thank You!
I just saw yor video love it. My question is for dark fabric, could i use any white vinyl or is a specific kind?
Any vinyl will do. It has to be HTV vinyl and you should be good

You might be applying too much pressure but I never had such problem. Try medium pressure on your heatpress

Hi. So why not just use easi subli on the dark textile.
This is just one of the alternatives, easy subli can be used aswell
on the dark do we have to use the clear or can you sublimate right on the white and delete the one step
Yes you can but it’s going to have a Matt finish and look dull not vibrant like we prefer our sublimated shirts
No!
Why do we put white vinyl, then clear vinyl and then the sublimation print onto the dark fabric? What does the clear do the white does not?

Because the white HTV is not polyester

does it wash off ??
No it doesn’t

Yes I did, it’s the print. You cannot transfer any image without the sublimation paper

Yes you can But they wash out and I have tried this myself. On dark apparels though 🥲🥲😂😂. The Sublimation inks I use has no white or does yours have?
