Every time I think I understand how to do this I get confused and have to watch more videos. I just came across your video and I have to say your video is so descriptive, perfectly spoken (not too fast), and absolutely wonderful. Thank you so so so much for your time and video. I finally understand and am ready to do my first shirt. ❤
I really was having trouble understanding the sublimation steps but this video has really showed me what i wanted to know for darks and light colors thank you soooooo much and please keep making more step by step vid
Thanks for this tutorial. I used sublimation spray instead of HTV. And I used a color wheel as a background to slice out my letters. Thanks again for this idea.
LOVED your video tutorial! Not too fast, not too slow, and right to the point without the "fluff" convo that makes these tutorials even longer. I do have one question, when you go into your preset printer menue under sublimation, how come you changed your paper settings? If you are printing from a sub printer isn't it already set? Maybe because you are using an Epson, you have those options? I use a SG500
Thank you for posting this and taking your time as you go through the steps! I am making my mom a shirt that needs to be on a shirt that is more on the dark side. I was about to buy siser easysubli but remembered i bought htv ront for a different project. Finding your video just saved me money, and your detailed tutorial will hopefully save me frustration as i navigate the sublimation world! ❤
You’re welcome! Thank you so much for watching. If you are using a dark shirt, this video may be more helpful. ruclips.net/video/bdq7ZfYPTcc/видео.html
This is an excellent video. I'm new to print and cut, so now I think I might can try it. I did vinyl svg sweatshirts for the grandkids last year, and wanted to add the extra colors that sublimation can add. I will definitely watch this a couple of times.
This is amazing! You did an awesome job on explaining. I could be a complete newbie and would be able to follow along and make a shirt! Yep! I subscribed!
Hi, great video. Very informative. I have a question. I've been seeing other's spray an adhesive type spray, prior to adding the sublimation sheet. Have you tried it? Also, you mentioned, " we know sublimation on cotton doesn't last , what did you mean? Thank you for your time. Just ordered my printer tonight .
Thank you so much for watching! I did try it that way. But if I weld the words then slice; the slice results would have been welded. Since I was using a small format printer I had to do each letter separately.
I like how you went nice and slow so we could follow. I am not sure why you didn't just print the graphic to be a applied, there was no need to for me to cut out each individual letter. I just used scissors to cut to the edge of my print and married it up to the the edge of the film.
Could you have done a very small offset with the clear? Or do you think it might show? Maybe you wouldn't have to worry so much about lining up perfectly? Just thinking out loud to myself:)
Hi Coretta, I have a question. Could we not just use pattern fill by just saving the pattern when you download it to pattern fill and then selecting the pattern. Seems to work.
You’re welcome! The process for dark shirts are slightly different. You will need to add white HTV then clear HTV then the sublimation design. I will have a video published next week on the process. Thank you for watching!
Hi LaShunda! I cut the camo separate because my sub printer is only 8.5x11. Also, the new print then cut limitation for 8.5x11 paper is 7.44x9.62. Thank you so much for watching!
Thank you for your suggestion. I tried it but it did work. The slice came out welded. I have a small format printer and I would not be able to print the size I wanted my design. Thank you so much for watching!
Hi thwre im new to this ans was wondering if someone can help. Im printing on new born clothes so the lettwes are quite small. After i have cut them.out on the cricut the ketters are cut individually do i then have to transfer them ontop of the sublumation paper one by one or is there a way that you can do it with all the letters at a time, i think im missing a step. If someone can help i would appreviate that. Cheers
In this tutorial I cut the letters separate and placed them on top of the HTV because it was too large. If you are doing a smaller project you do not need to slice. Just print then cut. The letters will still cut separately and you will have to place them in to the HTV. Thank you for watching!
You didn't show how you got the individual pieces laid out exactly so that your sub picture went on top precisely....thats what i would have loved to see!
Thank you so much for watching! I did try welding. But if I weld the words then slice; the slice results would have been welded. Since I was using a small format printer I had to do each letter separately.
I don't understand why you cut the sublimation letters individually. Why didn't you attach them then print as 1 image. That would have been so much easier. This seems like so much wasted time and tape.
Thank you for your feedback. After I read your comment I went back to try it. Unfortunately, the answer is no because the slice would be welded also. Since the design is 11 inches, I would not be able to use a small format sublimation printer. Thank you for watching.
This was the BEST! Hundreds of videos and finally know why backgrounds are available! Never knew what to do with them! Thank you.

I am using a converted Epson 2750 for sublimation. Changing the settings ensure I get the best print. Thank you for watching!
I really like the way you teach. I’m new to sublimation and I can really understand and follow alone. Thank you.

One of the best and detailed Cricut and Sublimation videos that I have seen. Thanks for your step by step explanation. 😊

No, I have never tried using spray adhesive. Sublimation ink does not stay in cotton fabric so it will wash out. Thank you for watching!
Hi! What paper did you used to print the design? The one for print and cut.. Thank you!
P. S : You're doing a great job! 🎉
I use A-Sun sublimation paper. Thank you for watching!
Coretta, Thank you for sharing your wealth of knowledge with us. You make it seem effortless.

Great video, made me decide to get some glossy as well as matte, need to cover all angles 😜

Excellent tutorial!! I agree, you could have taken the words, grouped and weld the image to create 2 layers for the "slice" action.
Thank you so much for watching! I did try it that way. But if I weld the words then slice; the slice results would have been welded. Since I was using a small format printer I had to do each letter separately.
Awesome tutorial video. Thanks for the slice feature on each letter as well!
I definitely learned something new today!!

It is a matter of preference. Thank you for watching!
I like how you went nice and slow so we could follow. I am not sure why you didn't just print the graphic to be a applied, there was no need to for me to cut out each individual letter. I just used scissors to cut to the edge of my print and married it up to the the edge of the film.

Yes, you can do a small offset. I didn’t want any white to show that why I didn’t do an offset. Thank you for watching!
Great tutorial! What heat press is that?
Thank you so much! I have the Cricut AutoPress.
Great Job Coretta! I need to try that vinyl😍❣️

Hi, great video. Will this process work on dark shirts as well, or just light color shirts? TFS
You’re welcome! The process for dark shirts are slightly different. You will need to add white HTV then clear HTV then the sublimation design. I will have a video published next week on the process.

How does the sublimation hold up after being washed?
The sublimation held up well after being washed. The image did not fade. Thank you for watching!
Just an FYI, you can do all at once. and they do not need to be seperate

Do you sell these? I just need the iron on
No, I do not sell these. Thank you for watching!
So isn’t this the same as just regular HTV or is the ink actually infusion into the cotton? This is where I get confused
This is similar to HTV but it is specifically for sublimation ink. The ink is fused to the sublimation HTV and not the cotton. Thank you for watching!
Thank you so much for sharing!

Couldn’t you just weld all the layers of the design together to make it one layer then slice it? 9:00
Thank you so much for watching! I did try welding. But if I weld the words then slice; the slice results would have been welded. Since I was using a small format printer I had to do each letter separately.

Thanks for explaining bc I was saying the same thing ain’t that about 45 mins for a 10 minute shirt 😂but understood thanx for posting
Couldn't you weld your design first to make it one layer and then slice with the background? Would be quicker for you.
Thank you for your feedback. After I read your comment I went back to try it. Unfortunately, the answer is no because the slice would be welded also. Since the design is 11 inches, I would not be able to use a small format sublimation printer.
