@@NirvanaGuitars I know it's a while off yet, but I'm still hoping for a Mosrite video or a Hallmark Gospel video. But please address in it how the "Mosrite Gospel Mark IV" name is most likely a misnomer and also a typo; most of the model are either a "Ventures Mark V" or a "Mark V" and there's no word *anywhere* except in Nirvana communities how it's supposedly a "Mark IV." Sorry but that's just how it is, someone seems to have either made a typo or gotten confused about the model name way back and it's been echoed ever since.
@@Andy-cz4xw If you actually want P90s you should get a Gibson, because Mosrites did *not* use P90s. They just look similar, but they're a whole different animal that's not as long as a P90. Also, you may want to get a Hallmark instead, because 1960s Mosrites (but not later ones) have a very slim neck and low frets from stock. My kid-grade First Act is literally wider at 1.575 at the nut, I'm not kidding, my 1966 "Mark V"* (like Kurt played) is about 1.550" wide at the "nut." (It has a zero fret, not a nut.) * Mine is a Ventures II version 2.2, not a Ventures Mark V, but it's the same thing; just with an earlier name. @@-jank-willson The Mosrite model that Kurt used is more than 99.9% likely to be misnamed as a "Mosrite Gospel Mark IV" when it's a rare Gospel *variant* of a Mosrite Mark V model. Just saying, since the persistent copy-pasting is ever so present in the Nirvana community, not that I saw you saying it. Also, about 1,600 of them exist, just not as Gospel versions. However... The names of them do get weird. There are 4 known versions under the Ventures II name (versions 2.0, 2.1, 2.2, and 2.3) and they're not even the original Ventures II, that's the one Johnny Ramone played (versions 1 and 1.1) - the Ventures Mark V name came in for March 1966. Then there are 4 versions as either a Ventures Mark V, or just a Mark V, counting the Gospel versions. I contacted the owners of 3 out of the 4 *original* 1960s Gospel Mark V variants I could find. No confirmation of a "Mark IV" name from an information card (or letter) existed in 3 out of 4 of them (they had no letter or card with them, *including Kurt's* when I contacted the guy who bought it after it was pawned by the thief) and there are more Gospel variants than the Nirvana community thought, they're just real rare, but not as rare as was thought. @@NirvanaGuitars Hey, I sent you 2 eMails about Mosrite models. I'm mostly convinced that Kurt *never* had a Mosrite Gospel Mark "IV," but the "IV" is a typo and it's a Mark V. I was asking them all if there was a letter or information card in the cases of each guitar that called it a "Mark IV," and I heard "no" for the first 3, while hearing a "probably not" for B1705.
