Baldur's Gate 3 Paladin Patch 9

Patch 9 brings the most awaited class, the Paladin. New spells, improved versions of already available spells and reaction system. Although I was expecting something creative for reaction system, it gets job done. Hmm, it took patch 9 to bring pop up?
Never mind. ;-)
We should be happy what we got.
Above video is about getting Sussur greatsword & two methods to defeat Spectator.
One uses my usual buff before combat method & latter is first time casual explorer. xD

I love to RP on my first playthroughs so I will be going with Method2 .... although in this specific encounter I would prebuff nonetheless since it is an "obvious" ambush.
Btw, is there a case to be made to have higher charisma on a paladin in 5e ? It affects pala spells but in what way ? Smites seem to take your weapon proficiency for rolls ?

As far as I know, Paladin is mainly Martial class. The smite spell has fixed damage dice & charisma does not modify it. Charisma is useful for spells though. For solo gameplay my build will be different but spell slots are already limited, and smites use all. Have a nice day.
