I have moved from iphone 12pro to s23 ultra. I used to use iphone because of camera, but this galaxy model pretty much catched up camera performance, and overall quality is better than iphone. specially s23 ultra is really good price. It doesn't need to pay more like 700-800 dollars for Iphone 15 instead of s23 ultra.

You are very welcome. Because the phone is not out yet it is not going to be compatible. The companies need to get hands on the phone first and then they need to test it to be able to program it.

Interesting. I have an iPhone, personally. While the Samsung crushes the shadows, and the iPhone has better DR, the iPhone also makes the face look very pale and washed out.
Yes, that is true… I find it as a great base for for the colour grading, though

3:50 - Something is wrong with your S23 Ultra. I have never heard such a minimal noise-cancelation from that model, and I tried it in a lot of different situations where the noise-cancelation works flawlessly. However, it's neary non-existent on your sample video, though. Are you sure that the noise-cancelation is turned on?

@@ZdenkaDarula, that's weird. The noise cancellation of Galaxy S23 Ultra is among the best on the market and much stronger than on the iPhone 15 series. Have you updated the One UI to version 6? It adds plenty of improvements, and the photos with the main camera and the 10x telephoto camera are also much more detailed than before.
It sounds little bit biased ... Actually S23 ultra is better in all what you showed.
It is not biased because I made my choice… everyone sees things differently. General public will always choose Samsung because people like colourful things. Me as a photographer who is 17 years in a business is looking for picture which can match my bigger cameras. If you look at my old videos, you can see that my first two years I was using Samsung. It was the most frustrating thing ever. I had always compatibility issues and problems with the files in Adobe premiere pro. I have to say that the file problem has been fixed but compatibility is still an issue.

I know nothing much about the technical matters of camera.
I also use both Sony a7 iv and s23 ultra and I love both, as a beginner I am loving both and impressed with the image and video qualities coming out from S23 ultra.

As a so-called old-time manual photographer, I noticed that the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is giving more authentic recording results vs the iPhone´s more computationally "corrected" almost like programmed HDR handling regarding shadows and highlights. I would say that I prefer the Samsung S23U but the iPhone 15 Pro is of course excellent in handling automatically light chances. But this is my opinion, I guess the editing has more work for the Samsung U23U compared to the iPhone 15 Pro. Both are very good in general!

You are very welcome… yes there is more work required for Samsung and once you loose details in highlights you cannot bring it back. It is ok for photography as that can be fixed but not so much for video. Both are great phones but Samsung is more advanced for sure… many greetings back to you

General public will like Samsung better because most of the people like colourful things. me as a photographer who did it for 17 years I’m looking for true to colour video and not saturated image. That is why I prefer iPhone because I can mix it with my bigger cameras.. everybody in my family also prefers Samsung

I go with more option of camera when in come in Smartphone. If you only simple camera option why dont you directly use Dlsr Camera? Talking about smartphone camera anyway
DSLR is the thing of the past… most of the people won’t know if the photo was taken by mirrorless camera or smartphone… smartphones are also used for professional purposes these days
great review, i guess its all about the ecosystem your working with. handsdown, i love the apples straight out of camera experience and overall experience, but then i choose samsung coz i run a lot of files to and from pc as well as configurations for my fpv drone

Having had BOTH phones there are pros and cons to both. I went with iPhone because I still feel Samsung “beautifies” photos. Sometimes iPhone does in its viewer but not in Lightroom. Samsung I could never fix. Since the lock white balance feature, I am fine with iPhone video but Samsung does great video as well. As far as sound I preferred Samsung.

I know that I lose convenience by not having an iPhone but using a Mac for editing. I also realize that gimbal apps and lens/filter options lean towards iPhone. However I still prefer the Sony Xperia 1 V for photography, S-LOG video and audio.

Great review as always Zdenka. I also use both phones. Aliasing on iPhone and Samsung was the most frustrating thing for me. But then I installed mcpro24fps on the S23 Ultra and aliasing disappeared🤯. I thought this problem was unsolvable and couldn’t believe my eyes. Therefore Samsung is my choice for shooting now but not with the stock camera.
I agree with you. First two years on a RUclips I was using Samsung. I thought I’m gonna lose my mind. I had a very difficult time working with the files and mixing it with my regular cameras in Adobe premier pro. Once I switched to iPhone all the problems disappeared. Whoever I’m getting ready to create in-depth tutorial about the app you’re talking about so then I will be able to test it how it is now.

Wow... thank you for doing this comparison. I've had my Ultra for 8 months now...maybe less, and I've enjoyed using it. I'm not a pro by any means. I feel, through your comparison, that the I-phone is a much better camera and the sound is also better. I hate saying that, since I use the Ultra, but that's the way it is coming across on my monitor. I wish i didn't dislike the IO operating system of the Apple so much. I would make the switch just based on this video. Thank you for this video.
You are very welcome. I was just like you before. Hated iOS … but one day I was so fed up with all complications with Android and compatibility that I switched… all problems disappeared. I love Samsung but I would be afraid to go back and have all problems again lol.. but that is only my case because I have to mix footage from different cameras
Honestly almost everything is better on IOS imo
Maps just works and is simple, camera is better in nearly every way, durability is a ton better because I can actually use a GLASS screen protector, speakers are better, software support is longer, accessories are more abundant on the apple side, and a simpler OS to top it off that doesn’t give you headaches
Switched from Android many years back and tried switching back but couldn’t because I hated the cameras, curved screens, and all the complications that I just don’t have on IOS
The video is very good, I like the Sansumg but it's just my taste. But both are great devices without a doubt😊
Yes, absolutely both devices are great. If I did not need the phone to match it with my big cameras and use it in professional way. I would also prefer Samsung for sure. The whole system is much better.

Samsung really looking natural, iPhone is looking unnatural HDR image. You will have to tell which one is producing real skin tones and colour of your cloths

Actually it is completely the opposite. iPhone makes much more natural looking pictures than Samsung. Auto mode in Samsung is unusable, it is so artificially "enhanced" that it is totally ugly. I had both these phones nad took lots of pictures...
I now have only iPhone because it is so much better.

I had the One Plus 11, Pixel 8 pro, S23, S23 ultra and now the iPhone 15 max pro; that 2 phones are the best i tested this year. 2 beast phones that S23 ultra and the iPhone max.
Overall both the best. But....... if you want to have the best video camera? Then you have to buy the iPhone, i see also the difference and yes, the iPhone is better. But for an android phone is the S23 ultra 1 of the best video camera.
The S23 is also good but the S23 Ultra is better then the S23.
But if you stand still and the weather is nice, you will have very nice quality, which you can see in my Tomorrowland videos that I made with the S23. HDR was on. But the zoom is better on the iPhone and S23 ultra. If you wanna have the best video camera then you buy the best model from Samsung or Apple. Pixel 8 pro and Oneplus 11 are not so good in video camera, stay away from it if you find video camera very important like me.
You have to pay attention with the iPhone; HDR is good, but if there is a white dog or wall, it will blow up the white color, that is not good, if there is no white, you can turn on HDR on the iPhone, if you know there is white, turn on HDR out.
