Now I'm wondering if Michael's "Jacob & Co" tonneau shaped watch is authentic. Jacob really seemed shocked when Michael told him about it having a tonneau shape followed by him stating that his watches have mostly round cases. Even when Michael stated what box it came in Jacob still seemed perplexed. So perplexed that he asked, "Are you sure it's real?" I hope Michael does send it in to get authenticated and share the results.
Jacob has so many watches I'd be surprised if he knows more than the latest and most expensive designs, or with other stuff what he's already prepared to show Michael. I'm very interested in the factory, it's hard to imagine how they can have so many limited and new pieces that they are sure will remain accurate in the long-term.
I like Jacob & co, but pretty much everything they make isn’t exactly “affordable” for the average person. Keep in mind that the average person will never make 100k+ per year in their life time. Only about 25% of people make that much.

I'm with Adam , I think Jacob makes fascinating movements but the style of his watches are just too big and too tacky for me , even if I had the money I just don't think I would buy one. I like to see them close up to see the movement , if he put one of the complex movements on its own on a little stand, if i was rich I would rather buy that , I wonder if he would allow that, I suppose if you have the money he would do it, but I wouldn't have any of the watches as they arent to my taste.

Most of us couldn't afford any of these old stock Jacob watches. The majority of us just fantasize about even buying one of these cheaper old stock watches. I earn just over 110 grand a year and I know I cant afford even the cheapest of these watches.
IMO, the Jacob & Co watches are so tacky and distasteful. I would rather wear a $35,000 gold, Cartier Ballon Bleu than one of those blingy, ghetto looking watches for almost $1,000,000. Nothing from his brand looks classy at all.
