A scattered moment. The Japanese word they use for "scatter" is "chiru". Chiru has 2 meanings. The primary is for scattering, the action to describe petals falling in the wind from a sakura tree. The other is used idiomatically - to die an honorable death, blaze of glory style. That's why this theme was used. That's why starts off as artsy rather than loud and boisterous/epic. It is Ryuji's brief moment to have his blaze of glory by going out fighting. When it gets loud and boisterous (i.e. when the emotions start pouring out), it is brief and fleeting. A moment in time, if you will.
@@yudi-weiss3827 Considerably, I think they're both sad, but this one hits a lot more on the personal level, while it has to be this way is more of a worldwide kind of conflict feeling.
This fight killed me. Because of all the Yakuza villains we've faced this far, Ryuji is the only one who gained my complete and utter respect. Man just wanted to settle the score and died smiling in the arms of his dearest sister telling her that she was every bit amazing as their mom was. "It has to be this way"....For once...I wish it wasn't. I'm sorry Ryuji...
I agree. It definitely shouldn’t have been this way. Though there’s another main antagonist in my eyes who earned my respect, Yoshitaka Mine. While other major ones like Someya and Kuze also earned my respect, there’s 3 villains I sit down and see Kiryu asking himself “if I could go back, could things be different?”. In a better world, Nishikiyama would have stayed loyal to his ideals and reached the top with Kiryu, Ryuji would have had a comrade in Kiryu and would have been led down a better path, and Mine would have found his empathy and stayed by Daigo’s side until his death. But if any could be brought back, I’d rather Ryuji.
@Garland846I don’t wanna say the name of the LJ antagonist just in case someone hasn’t played it yet (peak video game btw), but the antagonist was amazing and honestly I don’t think I disagree with his ideals. Oh and Someya is a peak character, DESTINY really made that one fight even sadder
@@spazterr6003 sry to say I didn't cry fighting LJ antagonist. but his beliefs def made it way harder for me to fight him. bc I actually wanted him to win 😅 (sry yagami)
A very cool detail about this fight that I love is that Kiryu and Ryuji were shot in different areas of their torsos, yet the bullet wounds perfectly mirrored each other, meaning that Ryuji's wounds were fatal however Kiryu's weren't, showing that the path he had gone down, though mirroring Kiryu's, would ultimately lead to his demise.
The sky is never big enough for 2 dragons. The Golden Dragon vs The Dragon of Dojima. Freaking sucks that this had to end this way. Ryuji was a great antagonist. And a much more fitting dragon opponent than Shibusawa.
I used daggers in the first phase and won very easily by spamming heat actions. But I felt tremendously dirty and dissatisfied. So to compensate I did the last phase without weapons or healing of any kind. I have to say that it was one of the most tense and epic moments I have ever experienced in a video game. It was the fight that Ryuji had promised me throughout the game.
I fought the first part using a sword to make it a sword duel, I was barehanded during this fight to make it even. Ryuji and Kiryu are both Dragons, so it's only fitting that they both fought similarly (Sword v Sword, Hand-to-hand)
@@ju2tunknown I can respect that but in my fights against him with a sword I use hand to hand to disrespect but once the honor and respect in on the table it's only hand to hand

If Kiryu survived his gunshot wounds why wouldn't Ryuji? 🤔
Ryuji was shot in the heart area. He's a man of strong will & determination to go all out while on the verge of death
He wasn't THE dragon afterall
cuz plot armor
Because it was Kiryu who won the fight. (Shot Damage + Battle Damage = Died)
I ask myself this every night for the past year.
the balls of RGG studios to make a final boss theme not a bombastic epic final duel. Instead making a gorgeous emotional heartfelt masterpiece
It’s sad the fight is so easy and short you can’t hear it all
Thank you for this upload,I didn't get to listen to it all because of extreme heat mode turning him into dust
