Robert, you did it again - you hit the nail on the head. Of course, almost any John Prine song is a perfect song, but your singing and plectrum style enhances it very well. This Prine song has a couple of my favorite poignant observations: 1) you know she still laughs with me / But she waits just a second too long, and 2) a question ain't really a question If you know the answer too; which harkens in his cover of a song years later on the "Pink Cadillac" album, "Killing the Blues", which goes "Now you ask me, just to leave you / To go out on my own / And get what I need to / You want me to find what I've already had." Prine's 'downhome common sense' moments are what really drive his songs. And to finish, the more I watch your videos, I must say that you drive the songs you choose very well, indeed! Keep posting. Thanx!

Interesting that you should quote the song, "Killing the Blues." I love that song also, and I sing it too, although I've not posted my rendition on RUclips as yet.
