    Great explanation with details to avoid confusion. The close up of the stitches makes it very easy to follow. The contrast of yarn and background colors is very good. I was very confused with another trinity tutorial. Thank you, I'll be subscribing to your channel.

    I learned this beautiful stitch a few months ago, but I'm grateful for the refresher tutorial here. It is such a simple stitch that works up easily. However, I had trouble because of how tight mine were working up! I crocheted as loosely as I could, but I still had issues. I think I'll try again with a different yarn. 😊

    • @RichTexturesCrochet
      @RichTexturesCrochet  5 лет назад

      Definitely try a different yarn and go up a step in hook size :) it will make your stitches looser

  • @luwandaartrelle4250

    • @RichTexturesCrochet
      @RichTexturesCrochet  5 лет назад +1

      It’s not too bad! Definitely won’t go as far as a lacy stitch, but won’t take as much yarn as a puff or bobble stitch

    So you lose 2 chain stitches when doing this stitch. Like in the sample you did 36 chains you'd end up with 34 stitches that right? So if you wanted to keep the stitch count you should add 2 to your foundation chain.

    When crocheting the first row into the chain it appears you are inserting the hook into the front loop of the chain OR the nub on the back of the chain after turning it over rather than the two loops of the chain. Please clarify.

  • @lorrainemorin
    @lorrainemorin 5 лет назад +1

    It is a nice stitch, but it would be very helpful if you tell us what yarn you use and the size of hook you use for your tutorials.

    • @RichTexturesCrochet
      @RichTexturesCrochet  5 лет назад

      :) the reason I don’t share the yarn and hook from the start is that I want the viewers to try the stitches in yarn they have on hand - they are versatile and not dependent on the type of yarn or hook. For this tutorial I am using the Caron x Pantone by yarnspirations and a 6 mm hook

    Isn't this like the small daisy stitch?

    • @RichTexturesCrochet
      @RichTexturesCrochet  4 года назад

      It is similar in construction, but with the small Daisy you work the first leg of the cluster in the chain stitch at the top, the next leg is in the same stitch as the last leg of the previous cluster, then you skip a stitch and work the next leg. Both are part of the star stitch family :)
