You are the best at showing how to do stitches.
The first scarf I made my late father was a star stitch. He had bought a book for me, then gave me colors he wanted and said, "Make me that."
Wonderful tutorial. The stitch looks complicated but you break it down and make it easy, I love that about your tutorials. Thank you❣️

Thanks for being you! Thanks for all of your hard work and dedication to sharing your talents 🥰👏🏻🥰👏🏻🥰👏🏻🥰
Hi Craig...thanks.
I like this. Very well explained. And you speak very clearly and your fingers are slowed down so nothing is blurred. PLUS, you’re encouraging!
This stitch is one of my favorites! I learned it when I was a kid in the 90s from a 1940s crochet magazine my elderly neighbor gave me. Good memories ❤
Beautiful stitch. I am going to make a new baby’s pram blanket, Margaret ….. Thank you!
I want to say my sincerest thanks I am 63 been crocheting since I was seven thanks to my grandma. But there are always things to learn and you helped me a great deal to grow in my crocheting. Bless you
I watched so many tutorials on this stitch and yours was the best! Yours was very clear and easy to remember. Perfect for beginners! Thank you! ❤❤❤
Thank you for your videos. I learned something new. ❤
Thank you so much. Great tutorial. Going to make a scarf😊
To you❤❤
Lovely stitch spider thank you happy birthday for tomorrow 🥳Amanda xx❤️🎂
I can't wait to try this one! Thank you for tye tutorial!❤
Thank you for this tutorial! Very helpful 🤩
Thank you. I have tried several times but I only ""got it"" when I watched your video. You are a great teacher. I collect your tutorials and love how simple you make things for me.
Love this stitch. You make it look so simple. Thank you.
Love Love Love your tutorials!!!
Thank you so much.
I am making a blanket with 63 squares all different pattern. You are my go to. Did the waffle stitch, star stitch and a shell stitch. You are the best instructor.
Listening to you explain a tutorial is so worthwhile trying the stitch. Thank you.
I am using yellow yarn for the base and then white for the stars. I love the stitch and it’s very easy.
This is an absolutly beautiful stitch! I know I will be using it for either a scarf or a wrap in the future. I have two projects on hooks now to be finished before I start anything else :) Thank you for your tutorials. They are always easy to follow and you are a great teacher.
I love this stitch 🤗 I'm new to crochet and, because this stitch is easier than it looks, it is already my fave. So much so that I started my temperature blanket using the star stitch, until a very helpful lady, who has MUCH more experience than I do, suggested via RUclips that I use moss stitch for my blanket. I'm so glad she did because the completed blanket would otherwise warm a family of four 😆 So my blanket will now be topped and tailed with star stich, which I think will turn out beautifully 🥰
my great aunt used to make potholders with this stitch ( i think it was this stitch ) so i thought i'd try it - using size 10 cotton crochet thread and a size 8 steel hook - the instruction book said single crochet instead of your half doubles - i wish i'd seen your tutorial first ;~} thanks again for sharing your time and expertise with us
I have watched different tutorials regarding the Star Stitch. But I truly have to say, you finally help me. The turning chain was a problem nit tge right side, not the pattern but the turning chain. Thank you so much for making this stutch as easy as possible. I know the was a way. Thank you so very much!
I knew there was a way, again thank you.
Thank you so much. Your edges are so straight compared to other tutorials. Perfection 💜
Very pretty stitch!
I love the star stitch. I've made several winter items using it.
Thank you so much Craig 🙏🏻❤️
After years of passing on patterns I loved (all because the star stitch was used) I am now picturing my next project. In my mind I've already picked out the pattern, yarn and yarn color from my stash while watching this tutorial. You are always so clear with your motions and consistent with your terms such as eye, bar, previously used stitch, etc. Thank you so much for sharing your time and many talents. You're fabulous.
The end of rows are always a problem for me. You just showed me what I need to do. For this to come out right. Thank you!
His end rows are neat and straight,no holes
This is an answer to prayer. Years ago I began a sweater with this stitch. I lost the sweater and the pattern. Thank you.
Love this stitch. So beautiful. Live the tutorials too. You are so patient and easy to listen to.
Making bookmarks for valentine in purple. thank you !
I have made a pillow back using this stitch which I. Ike very much. Great clear video as usual
Thank you for being so thorough. All other tutorials I watched did one stitch. Can't wait to try this😊
Craig, I am SO glad you are showing how to do this stitch!! And after watching you, I feel confident I'll be able to do it, no sweat! I love it because it looks so pretty. It is tight, but there are times we need that; although one can always use a bigger hook size and do it looser. THANK YOU !!
Beautiful
Thanks for sharing.
Wow, what a warm, nice voice you have for tutorials like this star stitch. Crocheting makes me even more relaxed. You explain the stitches really well. My compliments! I am a fan😊 Greetings from the Netherlands and thank you for this beautiful, clear tutorial 🥰🫶🏼🧶👌🏼
Fiber Spider you are amazing! I love how you are so clear explaining this stitch 🕷🕸🧶👍🥰xoxo
So lovely. My grandmother stitched this pattern for tablecloths.
Star stitch with solid color for a blanket.
What a beautiful stitch and you made it simple! Thank you so much! First time posting here, but have followed you for a few years and have made several of your patterns! Thank you for all you do!!
You're an excellent teacher. Thank you.
Love watching all of your tutorials and making swatches for future projects. I heard about the star pattern and made a swatch for future use. I tried to make it with a softer yarn bit for me it was harder to see the pattern. Keep making these tutorials. I find it easier to make pattern swatches and make a project later. I love maintaining blankets and give them away for Christmas .
I just found your channel and fell in love with this stitch. I was amazed at how quickly I was able to pick it up. I truly believe that it is because of your instruction. I can’t wait to get another yarn and do it again, because I had a hefty 4 weight mosaic/ marled yarn which makes it difficult to see the pattern. I have some very nice cotton, I think I will try. It is heathered beige, and I am going to make a wash cloth for practice. I have to tell you, at one point, I was slowing up, and you kept going, and I said, hold up you little flying monkey, let me catch up! I chuckled to myself. I meant it in the most respectful way- not at all in the Wizard Of Oz way! I am looking forward to going through your videos for new stitches and ideas!
Gorgeous I'm making a scarf for grandson, just the start.. thank you 💙
making a golden yellow scarf . love your soothing calm , instructions Thank you !
Love it
I love this stitch, I make hats. thank you Craig .
That has to be one of my top 10 stitches I like to use. I've used it for mittens too.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS STITCH. I ACTUALLY HAD THE SAME COLOR YOU WERE USING. SO EXCITED. IF IT WERENT FOR YOUR LITTLE WORDINGS FOR THE STITCHES TO GRAB IT PROBABLY WOULDNT HAVE CLICKED IN. SO THANK YOU SWEETIEPIE. CANT WAIT FOR THE NEXT VIDEO.
This is what I would love to do a triangle shawl in - now to figure out how! Thank you for the inspiration - I keep going back and redoing patterns I have done a number of times before for gifts - about to do a shawl (rectangle) in feathers and fans for my future mother in low - I am sure she will love it!
Çok güzel oldu kolay gelsin hayırlı günler
Thank you! This makes a very pretty stitch I am looking forward to trying. I enjoy your teaching.
Beautiful stitch. Thank you for explaining it so clearly. I'd love to make a baby blanket and a scarf with this.
Beautiful🎉
Absolutely beautiful stitch and brilliant tutorial, thank you 😊
Ive watched a few videos on this stitch, yours is the easiest to follow, so thank you for that! I crochet blankets for Project Linus with yarn that has been donated to me, and always looking for new stitches that don't have holes or gaps that can catch tiny fingers. Can't wait to get another blanket started with this stitch!
In love with the stitch and i'm going to start small with a baby blanket. Wish me Luck! Great tutorial.
Good morning ☕️🥰🤗❤️👍
Very pretty & you make it easy to follow.
I think I want to make a summer top with this stitch it is so pretty. Thank you.
Will try this first with a dishcloth, then progress to a throw! You make it look so easy, I hope I can master it!
Thank you for a very clear, easy to understand x
I love your tutorial so much
Thanks for this, it's really detailed God bless you 🙏
This is such a pretty stitch! Thank you!
I just learned this stitch while doing a throw kit. It looks great but not my preferred stitch if I'm being honest. Lol
Thank you Craig for showing the stitch. It is easier seeing it done rather than reading a pattern. Makes more sense honestly.
I love this st. Maybe a blouse. Thanks for the tutorial.
Love this stitch pattern .....💕🇨🇦
Thank you. 💕💕💋
Thank 😊 you you're awesome!
I am making a blanket for my granddaughter.
Love the star stitch! You always do great tutorials. I have some worsted weight in sage, taupe and cream which would look beautiful. Maybe I'll do a row or 2 of sc or hdc in between each 2 rows with cream and star stitch in sage alternating in taupe. I think it will be pretty!
Morning Sweetie 🌷🌷🌷
I've finished a star st. Hoodie scarf 🧣 with pockets.
Hi Craig, I love the star stitch. I really do like the look and ease of the hdc much better than the sc…thank you for this! I have made dishcloths and also incorporated the star stitch in a beanie.I’ll definitely be using the hdc the next time using this stitch.Have a wonderful evening.🧶🙏🏻🧶
I love the foundation stitches. But I usually do the chains too.
I'm going to make a hat. A rectangle of star stitch for about 19 " then sew ends together and cinch the top closed. Maybe in silver grey some soft yarn. What do you think? Love your video. You're so patient and helpful. Crochet really takes my mind off things I find difficult right now. I wish I could give you a big hug. Thanks Spider
I have cotton yarn so i AM going yo do a wash cloth
❤
At least à good method not to have a big hole at the end of the row ! Thank you for sparing 😊 !
I love your hook and all of your tutorials. Do you have a tutorial for a hexagonal cardigan?
Here you go! Crocheted Cardigan: ruclips.net/p/PLocV9YYcJy2TuVeOxiM3yqC9REdW_dhmd
Can you please tell me what kind of wooden hook you used, and where can I purchase one? Thank you !
One edge of my blanket is curved. :( I chained 3 instead of 1 and now it's straight.
DO you know of a pattern for an adult poncho in the star stitch?
