I love this stitch 🤗 I'm new to crochet and, because this stitch is easier than it looks, it is already my fave. So much so that I started my temperature blanket using the star stitch, until a very helpful lady, who has MUCH more experience than I do, suggested via RUclips that I use moss stitch for my blanket. I'm so glad she did because the completed blanket would otherwise warm a family of four 😆 So my blanket will now be topped and tailed with star stich, which I think will turn out beautifully 🥰

my great aunt used to make potholders with this stitch ( i think it was this stitch ) so i thought i'd try it - using size 10 cotton crochet thread and a size 8 steel hook - the instruction book said single crochet instead of your half doubles - i wish i'd seen your tutorial first ;~} thanks again for sharing your time and expertise with us

In my mind I've already picked out the pattern, yarn and yarn color from my stash while watching this tutorial. You are always so clear with your motions and consistent with your terms such as eye, bar, previously used stitch, etc. Thank you so much for sharing your time and many talents. You're fabulous.

Love watching all of your tutorials and making swatches for future projects. I heard about the star pattern and made a swatch for future use. I tried to make it with a softer yarn bit for me it was harder to see the pattern. Keep making these tutorials. I find it easier to make pattern swatches and make a project later. I love maintaining blankets and give them away for Christmas .

I just found your channel and fell in love with this stitch. I was amazed at how quickly I was able to pick it up. I truly believe that it is because of your instruction. I can’t wait to get another yarn and do it again, because I had a hefty 4 weight mosaic/ marled yarn which makes it difficult to see the pattern. I have some very nice cotton, I think I will try. It is heathered beige, and I am going to make a wash cloth for practice. I have to tell you, at one point, I was slowing up, and you kept going, and I said, hold up you little flying monkey, let me catch up! I chuckled to myself. I meant it in the most respectful way- not at all in the Wizard Of Oz way! I am looking forward to going through your videos for new stitches and ideas!
