A home is a place where you can be safe, secure, relax, recharge or heal from the challenges of the world. Add community, good people, friends or village. Guys, it's not about over or under paying. It's about getting what you pay for and is it worth it.

I been single for 10 years now when i do retire i will be like Daryll for the dating stuff, after all women are very picky why would we not be. But not even sure i would get back in a relationship.

You can be real picky in Dumaguete. It’s loaded with easy to get girls, and not much competition. Hold out till you finally score a nice single mother, with only two kids, in her 30s, and a bit chubby. Haha.

I was very impressed with the interview and Daryl sounds like a guy that knows what he wants and remember you there's no reason you have to be in a relationship if you don't want to just relax sounds like he might have a thing for the landlord you never know just remember with the realtors they have a stack of houses that they're trying to rent for the owner so that's why they try and push the older units on you just to get them out of their hair.

Another good video as usual. That is a beautiful apartment. I've commented to you before if you remember I have a house built in Toledo Cebu. I just didn't want to rent. Anyway I know what he means about no Xpats in the area there are no expats where I live either. I have met one gentleman who lives around 20 mi from me and he built a house in Toledo also. It would be nice if I could make more expats because I do long to hear people speaking in English after a while. LOL. My wife and her family all speak visayan and I don't think I'll ever learn that. My wife speaks good English but she's the exception here. Some of our family speaks decent English but they all prefer their own language so I'm thankful for a lot of American television so I can hear people speaking English. Right now I'm back in Florida hoping to be back in the Philippines within the next several weeks. I'm going to get together with it other gentleman and we're going to see if we can start some kind of an expat group somewhere around Toledo.

sir, realtors will normally show you the low end first (not necesarily very low end) to gauge you, to get a feel of your taste, see where you're at, they're actually watching your reaction, what you like and what you dont like, then they take it up a notch...it happens everywhere LOL once they know your first purchase, they wont waste their time and yours on your next purchase, if there is a next time.

    Thanks Mike some great insights.
I'm not sure about dogs and roosters. DEFINATELY NOT Karaoke.
The thing is it's your home. If you want hustle and bustle you can go into town and experience it then go home. If you live in the midst of it..where's the escape?
Those views were stunning. I think dogs and roosters would ruin it.
Great tips about dealing with realtors and meeting filipinas
    Thanks.😉

I agree with him on dating, I also plan on taking my time meeting someone. I want to get set up, find a nice apartment, get to know the area, then, start meeting girls. And, by the way, that was great advice.

That was a good one. If you want a good girl you need to be a good guy. POWERFUL but true
