I just got back into skating after years away, I've been watching every skate vid that pops up and you are the best. You explain things so simply and literally in a way that is useful. And you're hilarious 🤣
Finally, someone teaching moves I want to learn (past the basics of learning to skate at all-- imma nooB)! If I can make a suggestion, you could set up your main points you want to do before you record, especially parts about the flair. The videos go a little longer when you're spending time trying to decide what to talk about or what to do next. Thank you for taking the time to record and edit these to share with the world, though. Once I get comfortable backwards skating, dips are on the schedule. Hook us up with a slow walk too. Not sure if I'm doing that right, especially how people manage to move forward a lil more than a tiny bit lol.
Sometime I break down how I want to do it, but I get nervous and forget the whole thing once I start recording lol. Sometime I freestyle because if I over explain or talk too much about nothing I can edit it out. I wanna get comfortable enough to do a vid with no edits. Wishful thinking lol. And the slow walk vid is a good idea. Thanks for the insight!
Thank you for breaking it down into levels! I always do better when I build up instead of going full flare right away, least I fall a lot less 😅. Will definitely use this as my go to video for dips.
I saw this video a couple months back and went to the rink to try out what I had learned and it was night and day with how smooth and easy my dips felt.
Love watching all the moves on the rink getting your feels with the music, but it's a tease wanting to do with no close ups, or break down on how to do. Just a suggestion or idea/s to explore: Since you are filming people in the rink, perhaps a quickie somewhere on the side of the rink before it gets too busy to ask or ask as you spot the person that you like. Approach them with a skate complement and tell them what you are filming for (if they don't already know) then to ask a person or two lk. if they can give a quick 'how to' demonstration for those who want to learn. A demo of a move, some favorite moves, etc. And ofcourse give thanks and credit (a shout out) to the volunteer for the demonstration on how to at the rink.

Milwaukee24 Sk8Fam I’ve been trying to learn for a few weeks now and this woman at the rink told me put all my weight on my back foot during dips. I KNEW it wasn’t feelin right 🤦🏽♂️
Thanks for the tutorial. I got some furniture slider discs I’m gonna practice with until I can get to the rink but this helps out. I want to learn backward skating too. I see little kids killing the backward skate and I want to learn lol. Lastly what mic were using? Impressive audio quality!

The tennis court won’t mess up our indoor wheels? I have Grease Wheels and my wife has the clear Bones that most be wearing. I need another practice spot bad. I’m tryin 2 get better and get some moves finally lol
yep this is dineen lol. and skating outside anywhere can mess up your wheels. rocks and debris can chip your wheels for sure. thats why i use outdoor wheels or my back up indoor wheels. i never use my gooodddd wheels outside lol
