Well, aren’t you sweet! It’s been nearly a year since I’ve had anything done to my hair or had a haircut, simply from being so busy. I’m starting to think that the less you do the healthier it is. Thank you so much for your sweet comment.
Hello.... just got interested in pastels and found your RUclips channel.... Thank you for taking the time to make your wonderful instructional videos.... 🙂🙃🙂😎
@vlahks86 I appreciate that so much!! Comments like this are a part of whey I do what I do. I love inspiring. If you haven't yet, come join me on my Patreion page. www.patreon.com/susanjenkins
Simply Beautiful Susan, Thank you for continuing to create content for RUclips! I know you probably get more funds from Patreon but it is nice to still see good quality content here on the Free service of RUclips,Thanks!
You are so welcome! I hope you give Pastels a try again. It took me a while to get the hang of them so don’t worry if things don’t feel right immediately. I have hundreds of free videos on my channel. Have fun!
The alien flowers are going to seed. That's why they have the little green balls one the outside. The wild phlox and irises are gorgeous, too... But your finished painting is even prettier than the original photo!!
Oh, thank you so much, Cindy! I appreciate your flower knowledge. My mama was an expert at flower identification, and I sure do miss her. I really appreciate your comment, sweetheart.
I think those spikey flowers might be a medicinal herb called echinacea, beautiful painting, and thank you for sharing it, I hope you're making your week fabulous! Cheers from Tasmania!
Jzst as you put it in the picture I was going tovtell you that those wipes are not archival. Even if you cover it up and you may still deteriorate your paper below the pastel you use to cover it up.
Wonderfull painting as usual, I love everything you do. Your flowers are "cardamine pratensis" ("cardamine des prés" in French, I don't know in english). Thank you for everything you do.
I used to use baby wipes, but it would start to leave light fragments of the wipe on my painting. Even after the under painting dried, it was difficult to remove. It works well on unsanded surfaces, but not as much on the sandpaper.
That's a really good idea to use Inktense blocks for an under painting, one that I'd not thought of before!! A beautiful painting, I loved the colours that you used! It's good to let your hair down & be creative for your self :)
Beautiful painting! I've watched your videos for several years, and the enthusiasm and joy you have for painting really comes through in your narration. Very inspiring!
Thanks so much for that precious comment Stacey! I not only love painting, but I really love teaching and helping others who don’t have any resources to learn.
Hey there! I'm doing a survey on painters who use pastels as a medium, and I was wondering if you ever get tired hands/grip fatigue from using pastels for an extended period of time?
Yes. I haven't added it yet though. If you are interested in purchasing I can arrange a private sale. Send me an email at susanjjenkins@gmail.com and I can give you the info. :) Blessings!
That is a beautiful painting.
