I seem to be the first comment here since his passing. He was wonderful in so many ways, but perhaps most impressive was the fact that he kept on keeping on. Thank you Gordon.

Mr. Lightfoot is the love of my life and I am so greatful to have lived at the same time as him. He touches my heart where no one else has, except my children.

I was on a job in the Beaufort sea area of the arctic. I was close to losing it, homesick, working really long hours in the cold. CBC back when they were great did a whole afternoon of Gord. He saved my butt. Thank you Gord and God bless!

@@sldl04 I saw him a couple of years ago and was astonished by his energy. I'm a lot younger and I'd have been exhausted by the end of the set.

The ongoing joy that keeps coming our way from Gordon Lightfoot and his seemingly endless flow of classic compositions is truly remarkable. Hearing this new piece of work sort of gives me the feeling like a magic carpet arrived, picked me up and transported me back to my favourite seat in Steele's Tavern, or the Riverboat. It's like a foregone era has returned. Only Gord can make it happen.

Nothing compares to hearing a Gordon Lightfoot song for the first time. I feel so blessed the have that experience 10 more times(well 9 now).

I have just about everything Gordon ever put out. Now I will be adding this to my collection. It's funny, I just found the movie he made "Harry Tracy" on RUclips
yesterday and watched the whole thing again. He did a great job acting in that. My all time favorite artist!!

@@murryjcohen, IMHO, the movie was forgettable except for the wonderful song Gordon sang @ the end, "My Love for You." It sounds like a song he could have written, but amazingly it's not one of his own. So thrilled that he keeps "pressing on!"
@@paskatefan It seems like he has no intention to stop. He says that he will continue for as long as he is physically able to do so. It's almost like singing and writing is what is keeping him alive..

My favorite songwriter of all time ... I have some other heavyweights on that list like Lennon, Simon, and Croce' not to mention Mitchell, and Hank Williams.
To be lumped in with those other names is a high honour indeed.
