Every WING CHUN practitioner doesn't train the same nor does one WING CHUN practitioner represent all in how he or she may handle their self in a real fight. Of course in its origin there were men who trained and fought well enough against students of other martial arts systems in order to determine which method of fighting is more superior back many centuries ago. Today you have so many fake schools that teach such restrictive measures as a kung fu which tend to manufacture a false sense of security towards building up one's ego as something great. Everyone doesn't train to fight in kung fu nor does everyone take up kung fu as a way to fight someone who is a boxer or against an MMA fighter well seasoned in their craft. THE ART OF FIGHTING WITHOUT FIGHTING is just that in martial arts. In a real fight it's not a fight but an occupation. One who performs its purpose well must serve himself to a lifestyle of training as a warrior who is willing to fight to the death. That's the essence of real kung fu and that is a spirit you can incorporate in any type of fighting style or system you take up in life.
@tom kerk Nope wing chun is useless in any situation including the street unless your attacker is totally drunk or stoned eg can only throw very sloppy punches then it might work. This is of course assuming the wing chun guy doesn't freeze up because he has never actually experienced the adrenaline/stress of a real fight. Wing chun is fantasy martial arts, great in training, rubbish in reality. A semi decent boxer, kick boxer, thai boxer or mma guy would destroy any wing chun guy regardless of what techniques they used. Wing chun's chain punches are weak, no power in them. An experienced fighter takes their weak punch and responds with a much stronger one.
A real fight between two fit and hard guys is much faster and more aggressive and thete is no referee to stop the onslaught when you are getting smashed in.

mma is some guy on the street, he's like a bully, he has this some kind of gang with him (nobody, not even them knows what they reallly are for sure), the kung fu dude is elegant and carries an umbrella, and drinks tea and everybody loves him (his father is sick, but somehow a master of the 8 deadly venoms attack, he has a wife and a son to skillful and to strong for his age) , they fight, the mma fighter rushes in with no system or plot of attack, the kung fu dude evades it, with his umbrellla still in his hand (up mind you), he then (not wanting to hurt the mma fighter) blocks with his elbow under the mma fighters arm just barley missing his ribs to demonstrate his self control.... i could go on but no i told half the movie, but the entire plot.

15 years ago karate didnt work in MMA. Then, a guy named Lyoto Machida became the UFC LHW champion using karate. I believe its a matter of time. A lot of this guys are in a process of facing reality, realized that a real fight is not a movie... but i believe there is some real tecniques there. They just need more sparring and study.

@@MrMMAJER its always the same story. each time a wing chun guy losses, the butt lickers come and say this is not real wing chun. of course it isnt, to them wing chun is only if the wing chun guy beats 20 people like in the Ipman movie. if he cant beat 20 man then its not real wing chun

Any fighter would know there’s different weight classes if he has 50 more then the other guy ofc he’s gonna over power the dude and his hits gonna have more power regardless of the fighting style that’s why there’s weight classes in mma and in boxing us ring the same fighting style that’s like mike Tyson fighting mayweather both great fighters but mike Tyson would beat Mayweather easy probably w one one due he has more power in his hits and 200 more pounds
