I'm guessing there were fr just some time issues that made them not do it although they wanted to. Z-A also is not quite what we imagined Z to be. Or at least it doesn't seem to be, since we don't know anything about gameplay yet.
Honestly it's probably for the better, because I'd rather have a game with a yet unknown story and gameplay and all than just another third version
In the Japanese version Zygarde's Complete form was called Perfect Form. So the Cell comparison is apt there.
The flag thing was BDSP but yeah, all of the pairs of games are built as one game and then split with a flag at the end pretty much
The other thing about piracy is that it's granting access to people who would otherwise be unable to play the game, like people below the poverty line, those in countries where the game is unavailable, or people seeking older games that are exorbitantly expensive collector's items now going for hundreds or even thousands of dollars online. Those people wouldn't have been able to give you the money for it if they wanted to, so what does it matter to the developers if they pirate the game?
Look, I've been making the argument since 2012; my high school law teacher, who was an indie musician, handed my debate essay back to me, and all over was red pen having a civil and professional discussion of all my points. Most of which he started to understand and agree with. Part of it was because I used music as a connecting topic to more effectively make my argument to him. The other part was that almost everybody else in the class wrote about the legalization of marijuana, so he was happy to have something different that actually catered to his interests. He actually ended up agreeing with a lot of the points I was making and shifting to neutral on others, becoming very open-minded about online piracy being an effective form of archive and promotion. Once something is on the internet, it will never die. Somebody, somewhere, will have it.
I've known for a long time now that piracy has done way more good than bad. Like you said, it's promotion. It gives access to art to people who would have otherwise been unable to view it. There are lots of franchises that have made profit off the back of piracy. For example, when My Little Pony blew up in 2011/2012, the adult fan community was primarily watching it through piracy, and when they fell in love with the show, they started spending money on it, buying DVDs, buying movie tickets, buying merch, and even buying cable subscriptions to watch the new episodes legally so that they didn't have to wait for the pirated copies to be uploaded. But it all started with piracy.
An even bigger example, however, is the entire western anime market. American studios didn't spontaneously decide to start importing animated shows from a random foreign country with almost no international cultural significance. They made the decision based on the existing interest in such shows, interest that solely existed because of bootleg tapes that were sold and traded around nerd communities. The entire reason anime dubbing is a multi-billion dollar industry today is because of pirates.
I find it rather interesting that Nintendo has always been so strict on piracy. The success of the Pokemon franchise outside Japan owes a lot (and maybe everything) to the success of the Pokemon anime, and it's extremely unlikely the anime would have ever been imported if there wasn't already a well-established industry for it. It's not a great leap to imagine that Nintendo's biggest cash cow only exists because of past piracy, yet they still crack down hard on pirates. I don't get it.

Picross is actually pretty fun. You essentially draw out a picture using vertical and horizontal columns with numbers in them that tell you how many pixels are in each column. It's pretty fun, I actually played the Pokemon Picross 3ds game.
I have it on my DS still and I have yet to actually complete the game because I got stuck on a level and just never went back to it

With the circumstances they had to face pre-Gen7, releasing a special event involving Zygarde (at the levels of old mythicals) may have helped.
I would have loved to see a ds Pokémon pinball! Also love all the research they do and able to bring a lost game back to life!
I'm pretty sure that the Sun and Moon games explained why the Zygarde cubes are in Alola.

That used to be the case in the West as well, light blue for little girls and pink (light red) for little boys. I'm not sure why that changed.
I thin that B2 and W2 suffered not from being sequels but from being Gen 5. This was back when Gen 5 was considered "bad" by many.

Having Clefairy as your starter in a hypothetical Pokemon Pink would have been waaaaay better than starter Pikachu. First of all, Clefairy has better stats. All Pikachu really has going for it is speed. Now, while speed was kinda broken good in Gen 1 due to the way crits were calculated, I'd still pick Clefairy due to having *much* higher HP and defense as well as better special. Second, Clefairy had a way better movelist, learning all kinds of great TMs. Pikachu was limited to just normal and electric moves, but Clefairy could learn Bubble Beam, Ice Beam/Blizzard, Solar Beam, Fire Blast, Psychic, as well as Thunderbolt/Thunder. Also, Clefairy was only weak to fighting, which was a crappy type in Gen 1, and it could counter that weakness by learning Psychic. Meanwhile, Pikachu was weak to Earthquake, and good luck trying to Bodyslam a Golem.

So when Jerry Boy 2 was almost complete, Sony told Game Freak to cancel the game and not release it on the SNES in favor of their console anymore. However, Game Freak left Sony after making one PS1 game in 1996 and went with Nintendo instead of Sony. So nearly twenty years later after making SNES and PS1 games, they would later end up making non-Pokemon games yet again and they just as flopped as their obscure 1990s games before they made Pokemon in the first place.
00:55:00 It's still amazing to see a game that was thought to be lost to time held on for twenty years by one developer whom had backups of it, to have everyone play and restore to it's former glory, and yet Nintendo C&Ded it too little too late....If sony was making that game, they'd be laughing at nintendo for them backstabbing Sony back in 1992 for that reason. If only...Thank goodness it survived, but yeah, time to download, get it to work, and duplicate it everywhere you can place access for it.

Pokemon Unbound is by far my favorite pokemon fan game, and I love Zygarde in it. Also, I have a huge power Zygarde in pokerogue, which is fun.

I tjink it could be cool for their next gen 1 remakes (yes, there WILL be more, eventually) to be orange and pink:
Pink because of this dropped idea, and orange to make it a follow up to yellow as yellow followed the anime and season 2 of the anime was the non canon region of the orange archipelago.
It may even be a case of the pikachu evolving to a raichu to get the orange and sequel ideas together. Then pink, who would obviously also have the same feature, could have either a clefairy or jigglypuff starter able to evolve, too.

Very unlikely. First of all, copyright laws are very different and much more lenient in Japan. That's why Jojo's Bizarre Adventure can get away with literally naming characters after bands and songs, but the names all have to be changed for international releases. Second, there is no "Dragonball Z" in Japan; it's all just Dragonball. The separation and distinction between Dragonball and Dragonball Z was a western thing. They figured that western audiences would resonate more with the heavy action of later Dragonball as opposed to the more comedic early parts and released it as a separate show, adding the "Z" to the name to make it sound cooler.

Domains are not cheap! Some can go into the tens of thousands of dollars sometimes even millions depending upon the domain. I could guarantee they have spent at least 70 or $80,000 in those domains so other people don't snach them up
What I hate is how protective Nintendo is with their ip when a new awesome fan game comes out they nuke it, when they could hire the creator and make free money like cmon

If pokemon had implemented for the games to actually track the weather of your location, it would be constant sunny hot days, never any snow, and the smallest/shortest amount of rainfall ever where i live. I pray to god they never will.

31:30 I dunno Patterrz I prefer to have finished playthroughs over half baked ones all because a new game came out and took over the spotlight for other games. It's not fair for the people who were interested in the game series to begin with. It would be like me playing undertale for the first time but then stopping all because Baldur's Gate 3 came out.
Happens in my friend group constantly. I get excited to sit down and enjoy the game with my friends but by the time I start with them, they're already done with the game and moved onto the next new release.
Ex: we all bought sun and moon on release to play together, I took my time as I do with every pokemon game and most of my friends completed the game within 2-4 days;
ex 2: we planned out to play Minecraft but then BG3 came out and everyone abandoned the server immediately after about 2 weeks or less of playing...
I don't know any of my friends that still play animal crossing, yet I haven't even finished the HHP dlc.
It's happened more times than I can list over the last 10 years that I just stopped anticipating games to play with them and only wait to play it alone to get full enjoyment. It just makes me feel bad for being excited and wanting to get my money's worth, cause I know if I set the game down after or before finishing I'll never pick it back up, why make that 60$ last 2-4 days when you can make it last hundreds of hours?
I wanna see the world the developers poured hours into to create and admire the work done by the artists! The best immersion is getting lost in the games' world.
I have one friend I know in person and the rest are steam friends I never play with so I can understand. I legit have never played Undertale and was thinking about playing it for a twitch stream whenever I can afford the set up to do so.@@benamisai-kham5892
