Hi ladies I'm new to your channel. I don't knit with needles yet I embroider, cross stitch loom knit and crochet. I can't believe people would get nasty about your Pride podcast(I looked at it) My daughter recently came out and she has our support. I do disagree with Ravelry, their wording was an insult, that all Trump supporters are white supremacist no far from it. Politics shouldn't even be discussed, it should only be yarn arts. There shouldn't be hateful things said. People need to learn to agree that we disagree and respect others opinions. Thank you again for supporting the LGBTQ community. I love the pullover and your butt is not fat. I'm going to binge watch your channel

You both pulled me through and got me to be creative. Albeit, i cant afford indie makers as i am low income, senior ( i did sign up for gift at nomadic knit.com) it's my 60th birthday this month ...
But your joy and friendship transmits to my soul you make my LOL...

I too am very sorry that you had to deal with comments such as that. I just don't know why people can't be happy. I for one don't have enough down time to enjoy things that I enjoy such as knitting and don't know how people have time and energy to be so ugly. Please continue to be you and don't let ugliness in. You two are always so inclusive, happy, upbeat and I for one enjoy and look forward to your podcast. There is too much ugliness in the world that we have no control over but we do have control over how we act. Shame on those people. Good for you and speaking out and not allowing it. Thank you!
Man I LOVE listening to you two!!!! I have been super busy on my farm with the yard, garden and animals and have not had any time to just sit and listen or crochet ( sorry I don't know how to knit yet....I will at some point get to that :) Then today it decided to on and off mist here and I decided THAT IS IT! I am going to start a baby afghan I have been waiting to start....and I was SO EXCITED to have you both by my side to listen to!!! Ah.....so relaxing! You two are the bomb!!! Tracie, why would you have anything done? You are gorgeous. As for turning 50, congratulations and happy birthday. I'm 52 and as you said, I cheer every birthday I make it to. In my 20's I got really sick and as they couldn't find out what was wrong with me I had real fears I was going to die, because I was in so much pain and couldn't stand. The brain fog was so thick I sometimes couldn't remember my name, so for me I cannot understand why people get upset that they have reached another year. I'm damn going to dance and sing and holler about every birthday I have reached "Yay I didn't die and I still have a life to spend doing stuff I love!" I hope you both have a fantastic July! Thanks for podcasting. It's always fun to watch you.

Your podcast was just what I needed! I loved your pride episode! I don’t understand why people can’t just move on if they don’t like something. Hateful rhetoric is so disturbing for you and for those of us who stand next to you. Traci- my 50th was one of my favorite times. I loved it! Happy Birthday to you both. I love that you can buy patterns for what you can afford. Australian dollar is only worth 3/4 of a US dollar. I will always pay what I can afford, but love this generous idea, as low/no income earners can also have access to enjoy our amazing craft. Thanks ladies.xx

I just want to say thank you for being here. I have learned sooo much, bought way too much LOL but love finding new yarns. Mostly though, I want to let you know that I appreciate you. I appreciate your inclusiveness. In a world where negativity gets so much attention it is wonderful to know that I can come here learn and laugh in a positive safe place. Thanks.
Tracie, thank you for going over the Calyx construction. I have the first 6 inches of the body done and this helped me visually with what is coming next. Jodi, keep knitting. I actually took it up to help with arthritic fingers. Hurt to start but now I can knit for hours. The only time it flares up is when I use larger sized needles ( over 6mm). Love you ladies and hopefully will see you at KNIT City.

Hey ladies! I'm way behind on my podcasts so I'm just watching this now. Jodi, your hair is awesome and reminds me of P!nk, for whom i will be making a second trip to Toronto for because she had to postpone her concert (she's worth 2 trips)I never had any doubt that you'd support Ravelry as I do. I know that many people may not spend as much time on Ravelry as I do, but to me, this policy was a long time coming. It may have appeared out of nowhere to some, but I think it was about time! I am happy to see that the majority of the yarn dyers and designers that I adore support Ravelry. Also, I was at my LYS today and my Mrs Brown bucket tote received many compliments.
I am upset, angry ,saddened that anyone would post such vitriol on your channel...I feel so naive that I wasn't aware of how prevalent and pervasive that kind of intolerance and hatred have become on RUclips and Ravelry... I thought we had grown beyond that ...I'm aware now and I support you and Jodi for setting boundaries for your channel,insta and ravelry acts. I wish only the best for you both! I've been in a mixed marriage for 50+ years so it's great to see the scab being ripped off so that true healing can occur. Ladies I'm so glad that you mentioned the Nomadic Knits Book ... It refers to my hometown .. I was so lucky to go to my local yarn shop (The Knot House) .. I was so excited that I was able to pick up my Copy of the book ..I'm just in love with the book ,, It mentions a lot of places in and around our area , also Magpie Fibers is in our hometown as well... So I just wanted to let you know that I have cast on my first pair of socks thanks to you watching you and Jodi explain everything so well in previous Podcast .. You 2 are lovely. So much joy, laughter it’s beautiful to watch. Hatefulness says so much about the individual spreading it and nothing about the human it’s aimed at. If we could step back and see each other with compassion as beings living experiences we may never know of or under stand and who need love and connection anyway the world would benefit immensely.

I know that I have no idea what these diverse knitters are going through, but I have had my fair share of age discrimination among those who don't know about the knitting community and even within the knitting community. I can't begin to explain how many times I've been called a "grandma" or how many times I've been told to "get a life' because there aren't many people my age who are in the fiber community. I've even been looked down upon in yarn shops because of my age. It's so refreshing to have my corner of the internet where I feel welcomed and loved and I can extend that love to others!
Great episode ladies! Ignore those horrible people who are so negative, they're just miserable with their own lives. Happy birthday Tracie, my birthday is 5 days after yours but I'm like 15 yrs older!!!
