I love watching your podcast and never find it too long. For us knitters with mobility challenges and unable to attend a regular knit night, your podcast allows us to feel we are part of the knitting community. Thank you Jodi and Tracy!

Thank you for talking about embracing the size you are now. At age 63 I finally told my dad and my youngest sister to quit body shaming me. I am extremely healthy - the only # that is high when I go for a physical is the number on the scale and it isn’t all that high. So, if that is all they value about me, then they can stuff it. I am so tired of stressing about my weight. I walk, hike, sail, play with grandsons, garden, knit, quilt and I, too, love Dove Dark chocolate!

Another trick I learned for remembering needle size for the swatch is tie specific number of knots in the tail.

Hi ladies! We met at the brunch; I’m the one who met Traci at Eyf and lives an hour north of Cedar. I haven’t read through the 415 comments, but I’m sure someone has mentioned that we are Michiganders. I’ve had other places where I can’t figure that out either! Also, our current high water situation is a normal 20-25 year cycle. The last high water was 1997. It results from cold winters where the Great Lakes freeze for a long period and lots of system snow.
When the Lakes don’t freeze early enough or not enough coverage, water levels drop due to evaporation and lake effect snow. Of course wet summers effect lakes too. After this year, levels should slowly drop, and in about 10-12 years, we will be down about 18-24”! That is a ginormous amount of water! Thanks for coming to Michigan, I’m so glad you enjoyed your stay. Thanks for another great podcast too!

I totally enjoy the length of your show.... I see it in sections, so I end up seeing you everyday. That way it’s not so lonely between episodes.
Because I’m always stopping the podcast, and looking up things from the show notes, I make your podcast easily 4 hours long...I learn so much that way!
    Thanks,
    And don’t change....stay you!

Found you ladies after a mention on Crochet Luna. I’m a crocheted not a knitter, but I just sat here and watched all 2 1/2 hours of this podcast and loved every minute. I didn’t understand the knitting parts, but yarn is yarn and we crocheters love the good stuff too. And I loved your fun personalities! I will definitely go and binge on your past episodes.

Tracie, what I do to have a "closer" collar is pick up the stitches in same needle size, work the rib (or whatever pattern calls for) for 2 rows, then go down a needle size, rib another couple of rows, then go down another needle size, and b/o when necessary. This avoids have to do decreases, which affects the look of the ribbing. I talk about this on my channel, because I do this technique all the time. For top-down sweaters, I go down 2 or 3 needles sizes, begin there, cast on and work a couple of rows, go up a needle size and work a couple of rows, then work in desired needle size and work as instructed.

I have been eagerly waiting for you to return! It was great to watch your porch podcast from MI; but this is the real thing 😍. What fabulous surprises you each planned for one another’s birthdays 🎉. And managing to keep your secrets, especially after I just watched Joji explaining texting simultaneously with you and not being the one to ruin the fun! You did have much to talk about and show and again have me anxious to check the show notes and pretend I can do all the new projects ..... my eyes are bigger than my budget, my knitting speed, and my ability to focus on only one project at a time .....oooo shiney, ooooo new pattern oooooo beautiful yarn 🧶 oooo socks ooo sweater oooooo shawl .... oooo bags oooo pins oooo overload 🤯. Not too long 🤩. So delightful and happy to watch, especially after the horrible week in the United States, the shootings, the ICE arrests, the children again separated from their families, and the horrible governance by the current president and Senate (or is it lack of governance? 😢.). I enjoyed every minute of this podcast 💛💛💛

No way is it too long! love it-Tracy I am busy knitting the Navelli Tee and am just loving it! For so long I just admired cropped sweaters on the skinny designers thinking that style would look so crap on me because I'm not as slim as I used to be, but seeing so many big women flaunting the style, I have caved and my next one is going to be the Soldotna crop.I love Caitlin Hunter's patterns so much.

Hilarious in the word game with spalted. I thought you might need new eye prescriptions.... did I nail it or what! 😂 I did take it in chunks by the way. You were with me while I switched over my closet from summer to fall, knit socks on the plane, made dinner and weeded the garden. More of you is always a good thing! Never stop. Big hugs from Hamilton, Ontario. 🏭🤗🧶

Met you two in Michigan!!! It was a great weekend there. Listening to your video about the weekend in Cedar MI brought back many happy memories :-). Knitting on the beach was wonderful. Weather was absolutely perfect that weekend too!

Tracie, you should make a knitting swatch journal and glue the swatch to the page with a little blurb about what you used and the needle size etc. Then you would always have it to refer to. Just a thought. Love you and Jodi so,so much!

Hi ladies! I love the long episodes! I always watch you in "chunks " of about 30 minutes while I'm walking on the treadmill or using the exercise bike! Makes that chore go so much faster, lol! Have to be careful though, I almost fell off the bike during that "old romaine" sequence🤣🤣🤣. Enjoy your holidays Tracie and have fun spending time with your girls Jodi.

Yep, we are called Michiganders. But, I think 10,000 lakes is Minnesota (where I currently live).

Love spending time with you through your podcasts. Went to Stephen and Penelope today during our short stay in Amsterdam. Got his yarn and also my first LabienAime (sp) DK.
Love Schitt's Creek and certainly the character of David. Have seen many movies with dad and the ensemble cast. We live in Maryland in the US.

Thank you for another fun podcast! I love how you showcase and support new yarn dyers and designers. I worked on my Dark Cloud by Joji as I watched this episode. Jodi, your hair looked awesome! Tracie, I will never forget how happy you were when Joji and Charly greeted you at the airport - one of the sweetest moments ever 🥰😍
