This is the first I hear of Knit City Montreal! As an East Coast knitter this is SUPER exciting since the Vancouver event was a little far to travel for a weekend! Now I have to find knitting friends that are willing to come with me :)
Morning girls, I am British and live in Kent. Got up early this morning, couldn’t sleep, thought I would watch your latest podcast. I have been watching your podcasts now for the last 9 months, binge watched them from the beginning back in January. Love your enthusiasm it is contagious, I do knit occasionally but I am a quilter, what does it matter I am a CRAFTER ! You both make me smile, keep up the good work if there were more people like you in this world what a crazy one it would be😂😂😂
I've never entered your giveaways because I feel like I'll never win, but I wanted to let you know that I appreciate how generous you are with your viewers. It would be so easy to keep all of those amazing yarns and bags and notions for yourself, but you are always so giving. That, plus your amazing senses of humor, is a huge part of the reason I keep coming back episode after episode. Thank you so much ladies!
My inspiration comes from you and other podcasters like you. Your enthusiasm is so engaging and makes me want to do it all. Yarn festivals are where I see other knitters like me wanting to create all the things your talking about. Big thank you to you both😍👏🏻😘
I LOL'd when Tracie said "slogo." My husband and I have been using that for years...slogan + logo = slogo! And "Life is too short to knit with shitty yarn" is an awesome slogo.
Oh! I wish I had a sister who would knit with me exchange bags n share things. Lucky girls. Living vicariously thru you. Love your socks Traci n those hats? Jodiiiiii!!!!!!❤️🤗
Hey ladies! It is so good to spend the morning with ya;;. had to pop on to say my girls and hubby did that!! They swam with the mantarays and it was such an incredible experience. I stayed on the boat with our toddler but I could see them from the boat too, very HUGE animals.
I travelled around the whole of Iceland for 2 weeks last November. It is gorgeous and yes, there are twice as many sheep as there are people! I came back with 87 balls of Lettlopi and Alafoss Lopi (thank you compression bags!). They sell it in all the grocery stores!
Lisa R beautiful patterns !! Had to pause your podcast to go get patterns from you both ❣️ Thank you ! Lopi is woolen spun /singles . Icelandic wool - it’s very warm , Knit’s up FAST . Very nice color work . I’ve had one for 20 plus years . Still looks new 👍🏻
So happy you are here again! I had to wait until today so I knew I had nice uninterrupted time to watch 😉😍. Lots of great yarns, patterns, ideas 💡, etc. and lovely prizes. I am a KAL failure 😢. I want to do all of them, but my knitting mojo fails me..... along with my slowness, my errors, my lack of the right yarn, ! I’m attempting to do your Beach Shawl for Wool&Honey and Plucky; but fell in a deep dark hole, and haven’t been able to climb out 🤯. I should be 1/2 done right now, but am only ready to start the first repeat of large eyelets 😬. Beautiful yarn, great pattern, crazy 😜 problems. Thanks for a lovely couple hours... I worked on sewing the binding on a quilt 💛
You will love the new needles ladies. They are really light and very comfortable in the hands. Thought that they would be great for travel knitting as they give more control even that they are a medal needle. Glad you are back. Missed you both. Another great podcast.
I’m so happy your podcast came up on this stay at home rainy day! You are correct, there are twice as many sheep in Iceland than humans. And, there are 6-7 times as many sheep as humans in New Zealand (30 million sheep, 4.5 million people).
So entertaining, you two are so fun, I’m knitting a teddy fir my grand daughter who lives in States, and listening to you two, your making me smile, I’ve just come home to Ireland from States, Jet lag is seriously hit home, my head is glue as I knit and ground myself and listen in. Are you two sisters. Icelandic patterns so beautiful.
Yay, so glad you're back with a yarnfully great episode! The two of you make me laugh and just brighten my day. I am recovering from double-hip replacement surgery and laughing definitely helps with the healing process!
Just bought a years subscription to Wool and Honey. I told them on the phone that they were going to be inundated with Grocery Girls podcast watchers and she said they already were. Thanks for all your great recommendations to other makers. I also love your patterns and have bought several. You two do great work!
I am so glad you are back ... yeah I have wifi thanks to our generator watching post hurricane Dorian in Nova Scotia.... so glad you provided this great video during the aftermath to cheer me up. You gals rock.
Girls...…..that podcast was far too short, make it three hours next time or even four! Even if you have nothing to show us, just chat,. I love sharing time with you guys, knitting or crocheting, along with you both. Thank you so much for just being you. x
Great podcast ladies. It was so nice to see your smiling faces again. I am about to embark on my first ever sweater for myself. Thanks for encouraging me when I met you at Wool and Honey. Wish me luck!
I so agree about putting your sweater on Ravelry!! I love seeing how it fits certain people and the colors. I so love that. I also like seeing notes sometimes.
Angela Bailey I agree too! Another thing to add is adding the size made. Nothing worse than seeing someone of similar size and loving how it fits, just to find out that the size made isn’t shown.
Everything is sooooooooo beautiful!! 😍 Y'all are such an inspiration! I first seen y'all on Off Our Needles. Y'all have such great personalities and are adorable!! I was a crocheter but have been so into knitting lately. I'm still new. Knitted a scarf about a year ago but that's all. Keep up the great work!!! It takes me a few days to watch a full podcast but looooove them!!!
So glad you are back. I am always so excited when your lovely smiles appear on my subscription video list with a new video. the longer the better IMHO!!!!
Yay!! I love seeing one of my hometown, Richmond, VA, yarn dyers represented in your pod cast!!! I LOVE UrbanGirlKnits!!! Her yarn is so incredibly soft
Nice to see you back, ladies. Tracie, I’m knitting the S4 sweater right now as well, and I’m loving the easy and relaxing pattern. Love the pattern both of you are designing.
Whoa! that was one long episode girls! fortunately, it was bursting at the seams with yarny goodness! and I got a lot of knitting done. you're always such fun!
I absolutely love your podcasts - they always make me laugh and inspire me with the gorgeous patterns and yarns you share. I am going to Lacombe for the Prairie Fibre Festival for the first time and am excited that I may get to meet you two and thank you in person!
Love your podcast! Your sweater knitting is inspirational as I do not knit sweaters. But never say never, maybe one of these days. I love your shawls and socks! I am hoping to go to knit city next year.
So Glad you girls are back !!! Would love to see you more / more podcast You make me laugh !!! I enjoy you two so much Jodi I love your new hats and that sweater Traci Can't wait to see it finished...
I was do looking forward to seeing you ladies again! Oh surprise today when I see your notification. Theeeen you said you're coming to KnitCity, I can't contain myself!!!! I hope I can work up the nerve to say Hello to you there. Beautiful podcast. See you soon in Vancouver.♥️
Tracie thank you so much for buying those shirts! I couldn't remember who's Instagram I saw them on as soon as I saw it I stopped the podcast and ordered mine immediately. Been absent from knitting for a while but I'm back great to see you and Jodi. Look forward to catching up on podcasts have a great day💞
Yay! Welcome back! I missed you, but also I caught a bunch of back episodes. :) I'll be at knit night at Knit City, too. My first Knit City. (And I only have a ticket for the Marketplace on Sunday, so don't go home too early, please!)
My gosh....mango, pineapple + coconut waffles sounds delicious!!!! We are huge mango lovers here :) Also, I totally relate to wearing a wrist brace...I even rub Vicks all over before putting it on for the night. I hope you'll come to Knit City Montreal! Maybe, just maybe I can give you guys a hug IRL!!! xoxo
Jodi - I hate swatching so what I do for top down sweaters is I just knit a big (like a few inches) of the pattern and the use that and if I need I change my needle (and never rip out)...if its bottom up ill do that but with a sleeve :)
I'm super glad ya'll are back!! Thanks for suggesting the project info on Ravelry...it really helps someone like me who trying a sweater pattern for the first time. P.S. - Tracie I saw your cup at the beginning and thought you were drinking wine...LOL
My tires screached to a stop, as I scanned the posts, but when you two popped up...that was it. Oh, by the way, it's "Michiganders". From that question you had a post-a-go. Love to watch you two!!
I love you girls so much I would even watch the whole thing again. Chilling with my Tamy Gore Mkal shawl and my Jazz Sweater Bag from Mrs. Brown. Happy Fall Y’all🍁🥰
OMG ladies, I nearly lost my coffee 💦 with your yard to metre conversion! 😂 a quick method I use is a metre is ~=39”, (there’s a decimal involved but who cares) so just 3” longer than a yard. Love from Hamilton 🤗🧶
Jodi, I get knitter's elbow (and wrist) too. It's so painful and sucks so much. The only thing that has helped me is an anti-inflammatory diet. It means no sugar or bread, which is hard, but knitting without pain, for me, is worth it.
Hello gals 😄 So enjoyed hanging out with you today, and yesterday and the night before 🤣🤣🤣 I loved it all! I think I bought 4 patterns 😍 anyhoo... just a FYI. The Blue Brick’s brick and mortar store is in Burlington, not Toronto. ☺️
It's funny i"m watching you guys knitting on my Floozy Cardigan thinking the same thing " got to get this finished" almost just sleeves:) Love watching you two
I love the bags wider and not as deep too! That large sweater sized zipper bag in the SRR is GORGEOUS. I’m waiting for one of your draw string bags that you have already shipped but I want the one Tracie has too😩🤣 Are you making large zippered sweater bags any time soon Jodi? 😘
great to tune in again - it has been too long. I have the new addi's - they are fantastic. I find that they reduce the pressure on my wrist and thumb. Jodi , I think you will enjoy using them and find that your hand/ arm issue will not return. Have a great September!
I was incredibly surprised when I mailed a prize package to someone in Ottawa from Philadephia, PA, and it arrived amazingly quick! I mailed it on a Friday morning and she received it on the next Tuesday - that usually doesn't even happen within the country! I'm sure if I needed it to get there quickly, it would still be on the way ...
I hate ends so much. I have yet to weave in the ends on pretty much every sock I've ever made. I'm going to have to do that soon so that I can wear them now that the weather is cooling down.
On my wish list: That designers would show a pic of the model with their arm up so we can see how far up these sweaters will show our bits...like reach up for an apple off a tree or a mug from a cupboard (who doesn't love a mug of hot chocolate on a chilly day while wearing their new sweater?). Otherwise, nice to see you again. I've missed you.
For your embroidery floss, you cut a rectangle of cardboard and make matching slits on both sides and slide your floss through both slits. That is how you keep it tidy and untangled.
My fav part of your podcasts are “Georgia, We’re podcasting!”
Ok I’m in tears! Thank you so much for supporting my baby AND Yolonda of My Pretty Brown Doll
gaye glasspie I just checked them out on Instagram, they are AMAZING!
Love your positive energy. Great way to recharge on the weekends. Best to you ladies!!

Life is so much better now that you are in it.... thank you💕
Traci! Your sweater you’re wearing is so flattering on you. I want to make that so bad. Gorgeousness.
Me too. Any idea what it is?

I LOL'd when Tracie said "slogo." My husband and I have been using that for years...slogan + logo = slogo! And "Life is too short to knit with shitty yarn" is an awesome slogo.
This is great! I love how Jody put the dog down as soon as Tracy pulled out the chocolates! I'd have done the same thing. LOl

All I've seen so far is that this is over 2 hours long and I am SO EXCITED to watch this later!! Love you ladies!
So entertaining, you two are so fun, I’m knitting a teddy fir my grand daughter who lives in States, and listening to you two, your making me smile, I’ve just come home to Ireland from States, Jet lag is seriously hit home, my head is glue as I knit and ground myself and listen in. You’re the reason I get up at 4 am!!! I watch your podcast on the treadmill 30 minutes at a time!! Love y’all!!!
I so agree about putting your sweater on Ravelry!! I love seeing how it fits certain people and the colors. I so love that. I also like seeing notes sometimes.
