He still tributes Laurie Bird - that's class Art. God Bless you, and thank you for being the soundtrack of my youth. I'm 38 now and I grew up on your music.
Likewise the soundtrack of my youth and my life, the first album I bought here in the UK, I still listen to it frequently, Art's voice is still so haunting and melodic. Incredible talent.
Still have Simon and Garfunkel on vinyl. I’ve recruited my 7 year old granddaughter. “Nana, I want to hear the first Sound of Silence.” You’ve still got it, Art. Thank you for music.
It's from long before that. Paul Simon accidentally stole it while he was living in England and he ended up claiming authorship both lyrically and musically when in fact the words date back to the mid 17th century and the music to at most the 18th century. He long ago corrected his mistake.
still beautiful . . . well done . . . Art. Best version is still Simon&Garfunkel with Andy Williams . . .there is nothing that even comes close to that.
befor i was a Teenager I saw a movie on TV called " The Graduate " around middle 70s...???? Instantly i became an Huge Simon/Garfunkel fan thanks to the 7min Version of Scarboro Fair...? And i startet watching every movie of Dustin Hoffmann...???? Arty is in his very late 70s and he still can do this...???? How Impressive is that...???? At one point he lost his Voice for a view Years but he was still able getting it back...???? This Man incl. Robin Gibb/Luciano Pavarotti are the Voices of the 20 century...???? How amazing is this...
Ken the bean. It all depends. Are you comparing it to the Art Garfunkel of the late 60s? If so, have a really good think about that. Or are you just not taking into account he is a 77 year old man? If so, his voice is every bit as amazing as I hoped it might be at his age and then some.
Art Garfunkel comme nous même avons pris de l'âge mais l'esprit de la chanson demeure comme si c'était hier alors que ça fait des décennies que je l'ai écouté pour la première fois.
Nice capture, fascinating document, and Art does a pretty darn good job. I came to this after reading the controversy of whether "Autotune" was applied in post-production on an MSG performance 10 years earlier. Who cares, but it's certainly not applied here - and almost 60 years past S&G's heyday it's inspiring to watch Art reach back... you can catch glimpses of those old days. He seems to be getting off, the is audience getting off. so it's a win-win. Beautiful backing by the other two players. If he ever plays again in a small place around here I will definitely make the effort to go,
go back to paul simon,,,world knows you as one,,,,im grown up with ur music. you are only half body. with paul simon ur complete. the movie,,the graduate with dustin hofman wont be the same without paul simon and art garthfunkels music. what you waiting for,,,to the next life?
No harmony? 😆 You expect him to harmonize with himself? This has to be the most ignorant trolling I've ever seen. Proof that people will try to take someone else down simply because they have an agenda and not because they have any CLUE what they are talking about.
I'm thinking the same. If he had a daughter, she would tell him. Also his choice of clothes in most shows was terrible. Looks like he is in his backyard. Wear a golf shirt if u so like yr comfort. But still love his voice.
He suffered vocal damage that took years to recoup....he not back to normal....maybe never will be...vocal paralysis i think it is called about 5 yrs ago...couldn't sing at all
wowwww how can you say that ...??? Shame but you teenagers have zerro clues about Music history...???? Teenagers are more intrestet in Cellphones/Mobile Phones and Facebooks...???? Thats all there care...
No matter how many times I hear this beautiful voice, always it is amazing. God bless you, Mr. Garfunkel
Amen 🙏🏻
A true artist never stops giving himself to his public. Never.
A true angel on earth
What a mission!
Thank you is not enough
Love from Delfoi Greece
Your voice is still amazing, Art! 🌹
He still tributes Laurie Bird - that's class Art. God Bless you, and thank you for being the soundtrack of my youth. I'm 38 now and I grew up on your music.
Thank you Artie for still singing. Never quit and i will never quit listening. Love you always.
Absolutely hauntingly beautiful. I’ve been listening to S & G for 47 years and I can never get enough.
Wow Art...that voice!!!!!!! Has not lost its quality
Well it kinda did ngl... but he can sing fine
It's not easy for him. He must've been 78 here.
Wow, at age 78 & after having vocal cord paresis, he can still sing like that. A true gift from G-D.
Blessings to you always, Mr. Garfunkel.
The voice its never grows old
Likewise the soundtrack of my youth and my life, the first album I bought here in the UK, I still listen to it frequently, Art's voice is still so haunting and melodic. Incredible talent.
No exact words to describe the goodness of his voice. He still have a lovely voice
Still have Simon and Garfunkel on vinyl. I’ve recruited my 7 year old granddaughter.

Beautiful voice man. A lovely song about youth also. Greetings and lots of love from Germany.
So glad his voice is doing better. What a guy.
This song is from the year I was born. It's a part of my life and I still love it.
It's from long before that. Paul Simon accidentally stole it while he was living in England and he ended up claiming authorship both lyrically and musically when in fact the words date back to the mid 17th century and the music to at most the 18th century. He long ago corrected his mistake.
I love Art's voice. When I get to Heaven I pray he is the voice of the music that surrounds me.
Great to hear art getting his chops back

He sounds great!
Huh?? what were you listening to?...obviously different to what I've just heard!!
Superb!!!!
His voice is still amazing. Some voices age well, most don’t. His has. James Taylor’s has. Willie Nelson’s has.
No its not! Its absolutely awful....be honest.
ken the bean I have to agree. For a second or two I was transported, but then I found I was cringing lest he lose his voice completely.
Ken the bean. It all depends. Are you comparing it to the Art Garfunkel of the late 60s? If so, have a really good think about that. Or are you just not taking into account he is a 77 year old man? If so, his voice is every bit as amazing as I hoped it might be at his age and then some.

Nice...
He Needs To Make A Live album with these songs
No fancy clothes or haircut. Just a old T-shirt and his endless talent.

No harmony. Give it up buddy. You've had your life!
No harmony? 😆 You expect him to harmonize with himself? This has to be the most ignorant trolling I've ever seen. Proof that people will try to take someone else down simply because they have an agenda and not because they have any CLUE what they are talking about.
So rude the guy has been ill , get a life pal .
Time Time Time Look What's Become Of Me...
Why doesn't he just shave it all off?
I'm thinking the same. If he had a daughter, she would tell him. Also his choice of clothes in most shows was terrible. Looks like he is in his backyard. Wear a golf shirt if u so like yr comfort. But still love his voice.
Love Garfunkel, but this is a lesson in what cigarette smoking will do to a voice
His voice is still amazing.
He's fucking seventy seven. If this is what smoking does to a voice i'm gonna start smoking.
@@davidjohnson-fo7ze That's classic. Such a great comment. This guy is sensational given his age and his voice is still beautiful.
He suffered vocal damage that took years to recoup....he not back to normal....maybe never will be...vocal paralysis i think it is called about 5 yrs ago...couldn't sing at all
Is Art gay? Not that I have anything against it.
I love Art.
As far as I know, Art isn't gay. He's married and has three childeren :-)
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Art_Garfunkel#Personal_life
He has been married twice and plenty of girls through the years. He has been married to Kim for 32 years and has two sons.
NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
Hoo no...Art is not gay , what a curious question...Arthur was married since many time with a beautiful woman, he Had 2 sons...
wowwww how can you say that ...??? Shame but you teenagers have zerro clues about Music history...???? Teenagers are more intrestet in Cellphones/Mobile Phones and Facebooks...???? Thats all there care...
Worst version I've heard in a looong time..
Pity..
Different strokes for different folks I guess. I found it to be beautiful and poignant.
@@petelarry9130 His voice sounds very fragile though ;-)
Bro hes 80 years old give him some slack.
his voice sounds so vunerable . . . its that fragility that makes it so special . . .
but I think it still sounds great . . .
Really missing Paul here.... with the true Canticle singing along..... sounds really empty with only half of the song
Superb!!!
