    SO: Are the errors false, or...... is the Firmware, detecting belt tension issues, that previously went undetected?

    • @jesseboats1
      @jesseboats1 2 дня назад

      I’m getting both belt tension error and filament sensor detecting filament in the extruder. I opened the print head and there is nothing in the extruder. I swapped out nozzles to make sure, and same error.
      I was able to run the belt tension calibration in the fluidd dashboard and on the old firmware it runs perfectly. On the new firmware the left side errors. I downloaded the previous firmware version to confirm. Something is not right and I don’t think it’s the printer. It still prints perfectly.

    PSA: Your feedback is Valuable. If you have experiences, knowledge, or input, that would be helpful to Creality, for making improvements, to the software, firmware, or hardware: COMMENT, and discuss them. Creality will see it. That said: If you post trash talking, and insults, I don't care how long your post is. I'm deleting it. Have a nice day. :)

    Let me ask you something. Since the Firmware update my K2 Plus is doing a bed level every single time I start a print now, even with the box checked off not to do it. Is there something wrong with my install or is this the new thing going forward?

  • @MacMaker3D
    @MacMaker3D 2 дня назад

    After the update and before you calibrate(self check), do a complete power cycle. This should eliminate any belt tensioner errors during calibration. Moving forward, I plan on doing this for all firmware updates.

    • @3DRundown
      @3DRundown  2 дня назад +1

      Thanks for the tip. What's the correlation between the power cycle and tensioner error?

    • @MacMaker3D
      @MacMaker3D 2 дня назад

      @3DRundown no direct correlation that I'm aware of. Seems a simple on/off does the trick in avoiding errors after updating. I've been seeing these errors pop up all day in posts and someone in one of those groups suggested a power cycle. It'd probably be best to make it a practice after firmware updates. Just saw another post where someone's build plate and hot bed were badly gouged. He had the belt tensioner error after calibration...

      @@3DRundown Comparing filament settings side by the side for Hyper PLA shows they are exactly the same. If anything the new profile seems to be a little slower, but it does have a new setting related to retraction over infill. I'll play around some more. For the most part the strings are something I can just wipe off although I did have one small printed item get dislodged from the plate and it looks like it was the string that pulled it.

    The update screwed up the calibration sequence, as it first heats up the print bed to its final temperature, then waits for it to cooldown, which takes forever with ABS. This is REALLY annoying!

      @3DRundown I would send a file through creality cloud after the update and the printer would begin its preliminary processes before starting a print . The printhead would then center itself above the hot plate and sit there with the temps ramped up and nothing happens. Had to roll back the firmware and reinstall the new firmware several times to get it to start working again normally.
