Loved the honest tutorial! I've learned how to make a very beautiful card. Thank you!
WOW, Finally someone with decent music.
How refreshing your video is Melissa...thanks for leaving the mistakes. The card is stunning and I think your method seems sooo much easier and more successful than other methods I have see. Keep making beautiful cards!
Love the glitter and modpodge together, very pretty!!
Love this card - I would just make one comment that I think could be easier I would adhesive spray the card base - spread the napkin out nice and flat on my surface and then lay the card base on the napkin, you will be able to place it on the napkin with a little more precision. You can see through the napkin so you know exactly where you are placing the card base, and it makes trimming the napkin a lot easier too as you are not trying to cut "sticky".
What a good idea....thanks for that...
Thank you. Lovely card and a lovely entertaining teacher!
thank you soooo very much!!!! I see so many videos and everything is so perfect, it's way to frustrating!! thank you for leaving the mistakes because you showed me that it's no big deal, and can be fixed or embellished to make it LOOK perfect!! thanks again this is soooo very encouraging!!
No problem. The world isn't a perfect place, and we are definitely imperfect also, so why try to make it seem otherwise? Much love! and Thank you!
Wonderful glitter technique!
Great job, mistakes happen and can usually be fixable. I am glad you didn’t edit as we all make mistakes. Love the butterfly.great job
Positive way of thinking! I simply would have called: Fail napkin card making tutorial. Lol
Your card was so pretty, putting the mod podge and the glitter on the butterfly made it look like it was off the page.. so cool
Gorgeous card! I just started doing these and I love the versatility of using the napkins. No need to apologize about your accent, it’s delightful! My daughter-in-law is from Mexico and love to hear her speak!
Gorgeous card !! Thank you for sharing it with us.
Love the card and your honesty.hugs
Loved the introductory music. Thanks for a great tutorial.
What an absolutely gorgeous napkin and card (love butterflies and the 'vintage' look, with glittery effects, and you showed a very handy technique with the mod podge, amongst many other techniques I've seen. Overall, a great, informative and entertaining tutorial, I found the fast-forward talking was sooooo cute and hilarious, couldn't keep the smile off my face!!! :D .... the step by step process was very useful - for example, never having used spray adhesive, was really handy to see in operation .... and I often tend to learn more when I see mistakes made (and how they can be fixed/modified etc) - because it IS reality and this is how we learn, and now we can learn from you (as well as our own mistakes and not feel discouraged). Thank you, feeling inspired! :)
Great video..... cute too. I can’t wait to try this I love making cards.
Great idea! 💜😁👍🎨
“That’s alright, I got over it”. That was funny. It made me smile. I liked your cartoon voice too!
That card is so pretty. You did an excellent job!
I love that you make mistakes and show to fix them. Gives me hope of success.
You are so funny! Loved your totorial. This my favorite napkin.
Very pretty card, thank you for sharing. When I get sticky stuff on my scissors I use alcohol to remove it.
Great tip. Thank you.
Oh No! Don't waste alcohol... I love my Pink Gin FAR TOO MUCH, haha! I know, I know, it's a different kind of alcohol; I haven't had that much to drink... yet!
Seriously though, this is my best tip or trick by far - use neat Acetone! Yes, REALLY, it removes a multitude of things, especially in and around your craft area for things like adhesive, sticky label residue, glue & double-sided foam off your "gooed-up" favorite pair of scissors; it makes light work too of removing your kids best creative work with wax crayons and even indelible marker from tiles! And, if used carefully, it will remove marks & scuffs from Gloss Paint surfaces too, but don't rub too hard! It even removes stubborn, sun-baked, dried-on, bird poop from your windows! I use it for a multitude of things, even removing nail polish from my natural nails - it's far more economical as less is required than ordinary Polish Remover.
I purchase a large bottle of neat Acetone for £1 for local Pharmacist or Supermarket. Primarily, it's used for removing acrylic/false nails, but I find it works quicker & better on my natural nails - it's far more cost-effective than Non-Acetone Nail Polish Remover! which is used in Nail Varnish Remover. I find it more readily available in any Pharmacist or Supermarket and it's really cheap too. I use it to clean loads of things, but be careful not to use on painted or lacquered surfaces or you'll end up redecorating!
I really enjoyed this video especially the way she chats to herself and then speeds up the speech.....it is so natural...also the way she shows you how to correct any mistakes and still make it look gorgeous....Where I live i the UK pretty napkins are almost impossible to get and to buy online makes them unbelievably expensive.....I usually have to print my own from my photographs but that limits me a lot....anyway .... carry on with the good work.
Beautiful napkin and card....
That was fun! I'm glad, as well, that you didn't edit out the problems. It showed us what to watch for. Very enjoyable!
that's a beautiful card
Love the card and it's nice to see the problems we all have
Awwwwww! I have these napkins!! Yay! Great video! Love how this turned out! Thanks soooooo! Much for sharing! 💜🤗Hugs from Seattle💜
great job!
i use those same napkins. i got them on amazon. they are made well, and they look great on glass, card stock, etc.. i put them on wood, too! ive made cutting boards w them, using the dec mod podge, and i also tried them with the dishwasher safe mod podge, and it dries a little clearer, and as they dry they get nice tiny wrinkles in them, which gives it a bit of a shabby sheek look, my husband is fond of that look.
Beautiful.
You really should try the freezer or plastic wrap method as it is a lot less work and very easy. Getting an iron out to skip all those steps and mess is so worth it.
What is the freezer or plastic wrap method? Excuse my ignorance (and lateness of this question), but I'm relatively new to this and learning lots of different techniques .... :)

That is such a pretty napkin to start with. The butterfly ended up looking 3D in the end
thanks for sharing... Your card is gorgeous. I love your butterfly and I felt you gave a good tutorial.
I use wonder under on my napkin cards. I am going to try the spray adhesive.
2019 Sept- great video- mistakes happen to everyone &I’m glad you showed them. Thanks for sharing the adhesive way of putting napkins on, I use wrapping paper & tissue paper wherever you can find nice designs without paying so much for napkins. Tuesday Morn & party stores seem to carry napkins that are worth it.....in Colorado you need to wait until the holiday is near , otherwise you can’t find anything real nice.......same with Michaels, Hobby Lobby & Maybe Hallmark has something. Can see napkins closeup when you order online & the shipping is more than the product....
Your baby sounds so sweet.
We use a light colored contact paper. Dark colors show thru the napkin but the light ones work perfectly. I've tried all the other methods, but keep going back to the contact paper.
Linda Warden .
I only speak one language, you speak two well! You have no need to apologize. I love the card. Thanks for teaching us. 😀
What a fun and neat way to make a card. It turned out beautiful, and the way you covered your mistake was so very neat. I'm going to start making ny own cards. Liked, subbed and hit the bell.
lovely work
I love this idea as Ive seen some gorgeous napkins and it turns out very cheap per card. But they don't look cheap. Love that you laugh about mistake as they do happen in life. perfectionism is over rated. Lol Often mistake in crafts can be sorted. Definately going to try this. Thank you
Beautiful
Use a piece of tape and lately put it by the corners and pull back makes it a lot easier for you
On my, first time on your channel. I wondered how to use napkins on cards. You have serious talent my laxy. Tyfs. I definitely had to subscribe. Blessings!
I never thought of using spray adhesive thanks
Mary Cox No problem :) I hope it worked out for you. I apologize for the late response.
I find if you lightly dampen you thumb and forefinger, and grab the napkin then open your thumb and finger the napkin layers will come apart enough to start the separation of the layers.
Would it work better to cut the card after gluing the napkin?
Love the card~ first video of yours I watched. Glad I found you❣
NEAT! Im going to try your way with the spray glue. But what do you use to remove the gunk from the scissors?
The card is beautiful. Really enjoyed the sped up part. Got everything but fun. I do mine with mode podge on the base then lay the napkin on top. Or if you want to use your spray, I'd spray the base layer instead of the flimsy napkin. How that helps.
This is such a good video. I can’t get dazzling diamonds for the glitter so using your simple technique is so much easier and cheaper. TFS!! New subscriber
thanks for the great video...mistakes and all! alot of times we come up with wonderful ideas when we make "mistakes"...keep making videos please..
You should use tape to pull the backing off your napkin.
Where did you get the napkins with the butterflies?? Love your project.
WE CANT GO BONKERS!!!! so cute lol
lol! That's a Colton word.
Great job!! I have those napkins. How did you do the inside. Wo u ld like to have seen the inside. Thanks for sharing!!
Simple stamp and distress ink.
I became a subscriber I love your craft. First of all I absolutely love that you are not perfect because it seems some crafters well they just do it. But I love that you say...this is reality and it has mistakes. I'm a beginner crafter and you put me at ease. I smiled when you said you are bilingual and sometimes it gets in your way. Lol I know exactly what you mean. Haha. I'm bilingual too and when I want to explain something my Spanish wants to take over. Lol I love your video and crafts. I am looking forward to seeing more videos. Awesome!
No worries about mistakes it more unique and kinda Chaby Chic, what kind of Mod Pog? There's so many kinds. 🤔
Your accent is gorgeous and I love these ideas. I tried glad wrap technique with no joy, found glue stick blotchy, so looking forward to trying spray adhesive.
What a beautiful card. Thanks for the sjare. I have those napkins, and love making greeting cards, as well as stationery. However, the thought never crossed my mind to use my napkins in my card making. 🤔

Hi girls,
I'm having trouble my napkins keep coming up..either with the cling wrap or glue they both are not secure. I even tried covering one with decoupage
TFS! You should make more videos.
Beautiful!! You could have laid your napkin down and put the card on it. Basically reversed in what you did and had it come out as well. Saw another person do that and it seemed a lot easier. Thanks for sharing.!!
Great technique,,, love it,,, would only say that you could have made the video half as long.
I definitely agree.
Possibly, but I found this video so useful, informative and funny in parts 8-) ... and beautiful to look at, and with most of it being in 'real-time' helps, I didn't find the video too long at all :-)
Very nice. May I suggest talcum powder to help remove the tackiness from your skin. For your 'gunky' scissors, wipe them with turpentine and they'll be nice & smooth again.
Is there a reason you don't Spray the cardstock with the 3M instead of the napkin before putting napkin on cardstock?
Use Goo Gone to remove the sticky stuff off your scissors.
Woow Beautiful . Whats the name of the spray you used .
It's just the regular spray they sell at Wall-Mart. "adhesive spray."
Turned out so beautiful!!!
Thank you!
It is still appreciated in spite of the mistakes, great idea and thanks for sharing! :)
Use a cardboard box for spraying glue. There is no mess this way. Cheers
You do very well with your English. Thank you for your video. I make lots of cards so will gladly add this to my techniques. I love your name by the way.
You didn’t mention separating the napkin layers.😉
Card technique is nice, and also the mod Podge with glitter, but I feel the speaker rambled too much and took too long to show the technique.
Great idea. Saw a different method with is easier.
pourquoi enlever toute la surface des doublures blanches ? celle du motif suffisait ; ça rend le reste fragile
thanks for the video! I had no idea about this technique - your video was great and explained the technique so well!
Do you still do videos? I'd like to subscribe but not if you don't make them.
Beautiful! Our group calls mistakes “embellishment opportunities “!
It's so funny when you speed up the audio LOL. You sound like a Chipette. Great video
cool girl
Your voice went a bit strange at times, o think you may have been on the helium! Loved your video
TFS! I enjoyed all of this video, but got a real chuckle out of the sweet little voice that came through when it was fast-forwarded! So cute! Great job! I subscribed to your channel. Hope you will take time to look at my channel also, at copycat crafter. Have a great day!
sooo cuuute lol 😄
i thought it was annoying
you so cute...bilingual..ok mmmhhhh ..love love love
Guadalupe Diaz lol!
It's MOD Podge, NOT Modge Podge.
tealwingz ... you sound so HARSH...ease up. We ALL got the idea.
Omg!! Can I send you money and you could buy me those napkins? I don't have a dollar tree close to me. The one we have it's very far and I can't get there, because I am disable.
It is MOD. PODGE! Not modge podge !
Nice card. Btw, it's MOD PODGE with D. And not MOGE POGE. 😘
Suppose that you were sitting down at this table. The napkins are in front of you, which napkin would you take? The one on your ‘left’? Or the one on your ‘right’? The one on your left side? Or the one on your right side? Usually you would take the one on your left side. That is ‘correct’ too. But in a larger sense on society, that is wrong. Perhaps I could even substitute ‘society’ with the ‘Universe’. The correct answer is that ‘It is determined by the one who takes his or her own napkin first.’ …Yes? If the first one takes the napkin to their right, then there’s no choice but for others to also take the ‘right’ napkin. The same goes for the left. Everyone else will take the napkin to their left, because they have no other option. This is ‘society’… Who are the ones that determine the price of land first? There must have been someone who determined the value of money, first. The size of the rails on a train track? The magnitude of electricity? Laws and Regulations? Who was the first to determine these things? Did we all do it, because this is a Republic? Or was it Arbitrary? NO! The one who took the napkin first determined all of these things! The rules of this world are determined by that same principle of ‘right or left?’! In a Society like this table, a state of equilibrium, once one makes the first move, everyone must follow! In every era, this World has been operating by this napkin principle. And the one who ‘takes the napkin first’ must be someone who is respected by all. It’s not that anyone can fulfill this role… Those that are despotic or unworthy will be scorned. And those are the ‘losers’. In the case of this table, the ‘eldest’ or the ‘Master of the party’ will take the napkin first… Because everyone ‘respects’ those individuals.
I really liked what I was seeing at the beginning but had to turn the video off. You need a more stable place for your camera. Too much movement was actually giving me motion sickness.
Maybe easier to spray the cardboard. Beautiful project though
When you speed up the video your voice sounded like mini-mouse. How funny.
Ps the fast bit with high voice made me giggle as I'm very childlike. Ha ha
What is that voice? Are you fast forwarding the video?. Sounds weird.
Nice card. You should absolutely not breathe in the spray glue. It's very unhealthy.
Not happy with baby crying in the back. You could stop and edit
