Hey bud, been looking into getting this exact bike I hear the TBI bikes are pain in the ass to warm up. What is the process for warming this bike up from cold start? Thanks!
@@WvTrailN dude thanks for the quick response. Some people seem to be making a bigger deal out of it online. Thanks again. Are you still enjoying it or do you wish you got the 300?
Does the 250 feel spicier than the 300xcw? I’m used to riding a 2021 300 xc. I’ve heard the 2024 300xc are hot mapped like nobody’s business. But I’ve also heard the 300 xcw feels slower. I wonder if the ‘24 250xcw would be that middle ground that I’d like.
How does it compare to the YZ250X? I have a 23 300 xcw tpi and really want to try out the 24 250. My 300 is awesome but i want to try yours. I'm a McDowell County guy so maybe I just need to come back home and ride with you
Imo I would of kept the yz but its your bike and if you're happy thats all that matters. 2 stroke nationals last weekend the guys that work at ktm rode the older style motors. Every experienced rider ive read about or ran into prefer the old carb engine. Ive been reading up on them a bit and there's a lot of people having issues with the new fi ktm 2 strokes. Ktm uses Chinese parts now too.
I did come across a picture the other day of a Ktm 300xc with kymco stamped on the jug. I liked the yz also but this bike is so so smooth. The old school carb and simplicity of the yz really appealed to me (reason for purchase) but something about it was just off for me. Hopefully this Ktm holds up well in the long run with all the Fi and electronic power valve and everything
@@WvTrailN lots of those 300s grenaded and ktm didn't have any parts for anyone. Kind of crappy they would sell bike faulty ones at that then not have replacement parts. Ive actually dug quite a bit into these bikes research wise. You won't find a smoother 2 stroke thats for sure. Its not really 2 stroke like. Also the xc finally got some spring forks. The air forks are junk imo. As far as holding up long term I've read on the message boards of guys with 100+ hours and love them and guys with under 5 hours and blown up bikes. Hopefully you got a good one and it treats you well.
@@motofarmmx2430 My brother has an 02 200EXC and it's just gnarly to ride. Very involving to ride. Off the pipe it's a single cam civic. And when the pipe hits it's like a built K series on a 200 shot of Nitrous 😂 there is no ramp in, it's either on or off lol! I rode my buddie's 2023 Husqy TE250 today (same bike as a KTM 250XCW) and it's a night and day difference in the ride quality in literally every single measurable aspect......Except sound 😏 the carb'd 200EXC sounds PISEED TF OFF! The Husqy did not compare to that sound one bit haha
I just bought mine a few weeks ago, broke it in last week. Very nice bike.
You can hear it stuttering in the very beginning. Mine does the same when cold. Love my 2024 250 XCW.
Amazing sound of the 2 stroke! Thanks for the vid and enjoy the ride I plan to get mine this week!
Nothing like getting a fresh new machine miss my old bike
This thing feels good!
@@WvTrailN I bet it’s a nice bike I had a 2015 kx450f I got it brand new I loved that bike
Correction: nothing is better than rebuilding the 2 stroke you’ve loved and riden for years.
You made a great choice!
Loving it after he first ride. Man it feels good!
How does the bottom end feel? Good at lugging?.. I’m currently healing from my 2nd acl surgery searching for my next bike…
Does good on bottom end. The 300 xcw does have more tho

I push in the high idle button and let it warm up 4-5 min and ride

@@OdysseyOffroad I really enjoy the bike and running smooth up to this point.
@@WvTrailN thanks again brother 🤘🏻 looking to go from a crf250f to this.

I haven’t tried a 300 but I heard the same thing and wanted a little hit to the bike. So I went with the 250. Really like it so far

2stroke fuel injection?
Yes (TBI) model. Throttle body injection
That's new to me. Also really cool! Wish they would bring back the banshee like that.
@@Z24300hp that would be really sweet !
@@WvTrailNis this too much bike for a beginner who is totally new to riding?
@BB-xz5gv being totally new I would recommend starting on a klx300 or Honda crf250f
